A reflective Sunday

Good Afternoon or whatever the best greeting is to you, in your part of the world!

We have enjoyed a nice R & R day thus far. Another beautiful Fall day of sunshine and blue skies; abeit a bit chilly. Our mountains have received their first fall of snow; and from our bedroom window, we can catch tid glimpses of the various snow capped peaks across the harbour!

Appreciated my coffee this am, that Alan brought to me; and 'like a sponge', I was absorbed in the Vision Channel, re: 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller Snr), 'Enjoying Everyday Life'(Joyce Meyer), and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price). As I was Giving Him Thanks for All our bountiful Blessings, I saw a tid hummingbird (movements like a hovering harrier aircraft) whirling around ALL our geraniums, that are still miraculously in bloom! What a tidbit treat; to see this bittid thrill of God's creation! We are very grateful for our 'refuge' that He has Provided us with! Also, watched a pair of squirrels playfully chasing each other, and other bit birds hopping from limb to limb on the surrounding trees. In particular, we have one large tree outside our window; which is still laden with rich golden leaves; whereas the other trees are practically bare!

'Hour of Power' - Once again, I recommend you tune into the program; as Dr. Schuller's teachings are excellent and full of encouragement! (www.hourofpower.org).
Dr. Schuller had some wonderful guests; and they shared their stories of their Faith. ie Brothers Jean-Luc & Yves La Joie (from French Canada) turned their 'scars into stars' with their gift of music. Basically they were saying that 'satisfaction will never be found, unless you have a Relationship with Him'; and that 'Faith is the Substance of things hoped for; and unseen'. Also, John Maxwell, a well known International Speaker, Author, and Pastor shared an interesting analogy about 'Running with the Giants'. (Happens to be the title of his new book!). eg. While you are running the Race of Faith, John Maxwell utilized 3 out of 10 Biblical people to 'cheer you on' to successfully run each lap. ie 'Noah' signifies that 'It only takes one person to make a difference'; 'Rebecah' - 'To serve others with a generosity of spirit'; and 'David' - 'To overcome limitations that others place upon you'. To access John Maxwell, through the www.hourofpower.org, here is his link - www.johnmaxwell.com. John Maxwell also shared a 'Story of life' on a bittid laminated card; a very good insight!

'Enjoying Everyday Life' - Joyce Meyer had a wonderful small group on her show; as she feels that the 'best comes out with a group (as in Bible Studies) that you can chat with'. FREEDOM was the subject matter; and 'The Truth Always Sets you Free'. 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life'. Basically placing your Trust, Faith, and Hope in Him; and to 'Take your Position, Stand Still, and Let the Lord Deliver'. As Joyce also was sharing, 'When you Sow the Spirit, you Reap Life'. Let Him Guide you. Here is her website! www.joycemeyer.org. and 2 of her recent books are: 'Enjoying a Life of Freedom' and '21 Ways to Finding Peace and Happiness'. Once again, I recommend you tune into her insightful teachings as well!

'Living Truth' - Charles Price was talking about 'What is Prayer?'(Matthew 6; verses 5 - 8); and it was most illuminating; and WHY PRAYER IS THE MOST IMPORTANT~ ie - 'Why Pray?', 'Why Pray Privately?', and 'Why Pray Confidently?' I would recommend you refer to Matthew 6. Prayer is - Sustaining communication / communion with God; also more 'real' when you Pray Privately, and placing Confidence in His Ultimate Purpose and His Will; and not focusing on your own agenda. When you are in 'sinct' with His Will and Purpose, you will experience His Will working through you to Fruition, for the good of all. 'He knows what you need, before you Ask Him'; thus Prayer to Him, is all the more relevant! I can not recommend Charles Price enough; so here is his website: www.livingtruth.ca.

Today, I was extra appreciative of these three International Bible Teachers (and their guests), with their special insights; as they were again, a positive uplift to me. Lately, I have 'wondered' (am still a young Christian)about Him Answering our Prayer to a major situation we are experiencing, (but then, who isn't during these times? - save for perhaps, the very few).

'Well' (a deep subject, you can refer to my post of June 13/07,if you wish); I have had an 'epifany' today! ie. WHEN you Pray, do NOT be discouraged if things do not 'happen right away'. I have to admit that perhaps some of my recent Prayers have been more to do with OUR challenges. The words from Charles Price, - 'A Celestial Shopping List' could be applicable a bittid. Hmmmmmm. We need to also say or include in our Prayers to Him - 'For Your Purpose, According to Thy Will, and in Thy Timing'.

In other tidbit words, submit, surrender, bend, and /or make adjustments to Him - ie to be 'one with Him'; and have the FAITH and COURAGE, that He well has the Solution in hand; and that to FEAR NOT; for KNOW that He WILL PROVIDE - according to His Will and in His Time. Thus the 'patience' factor; genuinely enjoy and appreciate each moment of each and every day; and fret not! So, my Prayers will be that much more BOLD and TOTALLY TOTALLY TOTALLY Dependent upon His Will and in His Timing. Somehow, it just flows, when you let go and let Him Provide the Rest! DONE!

Wanted to share that tidbitz with you. One thing to say and write a blog; yet I DID have a couple of 'misgivings' (as of late); however, I have now 'dusted myself off' and am 'rising up to the occasion' and am Prayful for Solution; but ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, AND IN HIS TIME. Hope this makes a bittidz of sense. Once again, best if you genuinely take some time out and check out these wonderful International Bible Teachers; as they can give you much, in the way of knowledge and encouragement.

My daughter, her husband, and our two grandsons (twins; age 2) are returning from Hawaii today; hope they had a good restful vacation.

We have an early start tomorrow am; and it will be a most 'interesting' week. However, we believe in the 'Power of Prayer'.

Hope this has been a bit of tid encouragement, to all those, who read my blog today. Love the above photo image! To all those who are celebrating the American Thanksgiving later this week, 'Happy Thanksgiving!' I believe we all have much to be 'Thankful' for; and that each day is like a 'Thanksgiving!'

God Bless.
