Good versus Evil!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Since I last wrote, we have experienced a bit of a 7 day to 10 day heat wave. We now have the rain and the garden is very thankful for it
That being said, we have much to be thankful for.

With the missile downed MH-17 airliner, that has left us stunned. Alan and I are totally aghast and we are sharing our thoughts.

It is very obvious who is behind it (the Russian sanctioned Pro-Russian separatists in Eastern Ukraine). This is reminiscent of Putin's seizure of Crimea a few months ago. (You can refer below in my P.S. re: my March 2nd post WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE UKRAINE, IS WRONG AND EVIL!).

They will receive their just rewards. They also are evil and have not adhered to the Rule of International Law. Here Putin is, in Moscow, saying: "Who me? Who me? We haven't done anything wrong???" (It is always the other guys. ie. Ukranians - B.S). We have an empathy for those who live in Russia who have been deliberately misled and hence manipulated on false information.

Also, be aware that the Kremlin and Putin and his henchmen have lied to his own population to manipulate them into thinking this little man is solidly for them. Where in actual fact, he is only interested in himself and his lackeys and cronies. ie. The past President of the Ukraine - Duh. Left $13 Million US dollars as he fled, as well as absconding with app $39 Billion US dollars from Ukraine's treasury. Duh.

If Putin who says Russa has no involvement in any way, shape, or form, why doesn't he order all the Pro-Russian militants in Ukraine to take off their masks and be photographed and fingerprinted, to validate his absurd pronouncements???

Our Heavenly Father is watching all this and at the end of the day, He will very definitely take care of ALL things justly. Nothing escapes Him!!!

Hopefully, here are a couple of tidbits of encouragement and comfort.

Psalm 37: Verses 12 - 15.(KJV).

"12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. 13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming . 14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. 15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken." I love those verses; and that He laughs at His enemies!

Hebrews 10: Verse 30. "For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people." This is reassuring also to me; in that the Vengeance belongs to Him and Him alone!

The same with the Israel situation. (As Revelation in the Bible says "All the eyes of the world will be on Israel"). Prime Minister Netanyahu is doing the right thing and is compelled to stay the course to 'fight the good fight.' May the other Nations throughout the world follow suit; and implement the appropriate actions / steps. Be proactive and take a courageous stand against all this vile and evil. (Hamas).

It would appear that so often the tid ones who are 'guilty' of their words, actions, and deeds, are amongst those who point accusatory fingers at everyone else. To cover their tracks by bittids of deception, lies, manipulation and confusion. Again, Putin, Russia, and Hamas.

He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE.

Peace and God Bless.

P.S. To recap and make things a bittidz easier, here is my March 2nd, 2014 Post for tidbitz reference.

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE UKRAINE, IS WRONG AND EVIL!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

We are very fortunate to live in Canada, where there is democracy, freedom of speech, and choice. We have much to be thankful for. Many Blessings!

Today's bittid however, is a different TIDBIT that I am COMPELLED to share! - WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE UKRAINE, IS WRONG AND EVIL!

We thought the Olympics held in Sochi, was to be a good starting point for Russia to reinvigorate its ties with the rest of the world!

Boy, were we wrong!

Putin has thumbed his nose at the whole world and unfortunately, he has forgotten the tidbitz 'Golden Rule.' "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." ???
Did you hear that Putin got his maurading rogue biker gangs to set up the initial roadblocks in and around Crimea?

It would appear that the President of Russia, has an insatiable LUST FOR POWER! It also appears that he has a Napoleonic complex and unfortunately, his latest move on the world's chess board, belies his motivation and greed. He has given the rest of the world THE MIDDLE FINGER!

It is imperative that the WORLD stand up against this meglamaniac that has incited an ACT OF WAR against one of its neighbours. THE UKRAINE! Let's not forget Chamberlain!

What is to stop him from doing this again to other neighbours / countries???

Look what happened in Georgia! THIS could happen in the Balkans or anywhere else! We MUST stop the aggression NOW! We are or should be 'OUR BROTHER'S KEEPER?'

For example, there should be a united front to expel Russia from the G-8 and the G-20, as well as being expelled by the IOC. The WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION should sanction Russia and potentially exclude it from any future discussions!

All nations should NOT allow any Russian and / or Russian corporation into their air space. All of their assets should be frozen and any other punitive measures to bring them to heel, should be ENFORCED!

NATO and all its members, should be sending their NAVAL assets to the Crimea in support of Ukraine. It should also take immediate measures to include any Eastern European countries that are not presently in NATO membership!

The United Nations, eventhough it is not as strong a forum as we would like, should also take a vote of all its members so that Russia is fully aware as to how few allies it really has, or which ones! Also, there should be discussion after the vote, to expel them from being a PERMANMENT MEMBER of the Security Council!

We feel for those who are literally being threatened by this evil, including the majority of Russians!

We have seen evil in various disguised forms, wearing different cloaks. DECEPTION and GREED being the worst! If this is not acted upon ASAP, there will be grave consquences to the world, going forward!

We should never forget that the past President of the Ukraine, fled under the 'cover of darkness' last weekend to his overseer (Putin) in Russia!

And by the by, He also appears to have absconded with $39 Billion U.S dollars! As well as leaving $13 Million behind at his residence! Duh!
.
Again, all those who oppose evil, must act NOW and take a stand for what IS right; NOT wrong! What IS good, NOT evil!

We implore any and everyone who reads this, to contact their MP, their MLA, anyone in authority to encourage them to take all necessary bittidz measures they can, to implement all of the ABOVE!

Our hearts go out to all the magnificent peoples of the world and the citizens of the world, that unfortunately are ruled / manipulated / abused by DESPOTS or egotistical POWER HUNGRY DICTATORS!

Our Heavenly Father KNOWS ALL. Remember there IS an etermal address. HEAVEN or HELL. Which address do YOU want, for your self, your loved ones, and your treasured famlies and friends???

PEACE AND GOD BLESS.

GRACE!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Another week, another Sunday! Another thankful, appreciative, and reflective day of rest!

It has been another full tid week. This past week, both the power washing and window washing crews were here, that apparently are prepping the complex for eventual painting. That being said, we were scheduled for Thursday and we had to move many many of our plants etc away from the exterior of the building. It was good that this project was done, because that gave us the incentive to clean out all the bittids from the exterior shelves, dog crate, garbage pails, tarps, mats, planters etc. Tons of cobwebs and clutters of 'stuff' (that was here before we moved in) had deteriorated and hence were filed under 'g', as they were of no use. The flowers and plants all survived and the crews were gentle with the garden.

The other evening, we watched the movie,'Invictus'. To quote, here are some tidbits from Wikipedia that provide some info.
"Invictus (film)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Invictus is a 2009 biographical sports drama film directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. The story is based on the John Carlin book Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Made a Nation about the events in South Africa before and during the 1995 Rugby World Cup, which was hosted in that country following the dismantling of apartheid. Freeman and Damon play, respectively, South African President Nelson Mandela and François Pienaar, the captain of the South Africa rugby union team, the Springboks.[3]
Invictus was released in the United States on December 11, 2009. The title Invictus may be translated from the Latin as "undefeated" or "unconquered", and is the title of a poem by British poet William Ernest Henley (1849–1903).
The film was met with positive critical reviews and earned Academy Award nominations for Freeman (Best Actor) and Damon (Best Supporting Actor)."

What a special and gracious human being Nelson Mandela was! With his genuine desire to nuture the South African Rugby team to success, that one act united many people not only in his country, but around the world. It is actions (reconciliation) such as these, that Mandela took, that helped bring about change and make the world a better place. He left his mark and he was a very special man. If the rest of us could treat our fellow man the way he treated others, the world would not be having all the problems it is having now. Mandela was a man of Grace. Hope to meet him some day.

Our elderly friend who is also our neighbour, came by yesterday afternoon as he forgot to take his house key with him. He had gone to get a massage but the masseuse was behind schedule, for at least an hour. He chose not to wait and took a taxi home and hence came to us. Meanwhile, the man's wife had made her plans. Long story made short, we left a note on their garage door that he was with us. So that when his wife came home, she would be reassured and relieved that he was safe and sound. He enjoyed and appreciated a glass of cold gingerale with a twist of fresh lime; as it was a very hot day (100 + degrees F).

Alan made up some spaghetti sauce and added various bit spices and herbs from our garden, which made it all the more tasty. We heartily enjoyed the meal last night. Nothing like your own fresh grown produce! We also gave some sauce to our neighbour, who is expecting her baby in mid January; as I know she has her moments when she is not up to cooking. They also know they can call upon us if they need any help.

Our twin grandsons will be 8 years old this week. We have given them cards (we gave them both the same card so they would not feel that one card was bigger or better than the other) with a small calculator (one in blue, one in red) to help them with their math tables. Be it in addition, subtraction and so forth. The kids today, are all into all the 'techy stuff' and we thought this would be an educational tool. Plus a crisp brand new $10 bill for each of them. The teller at the bank went through the till several times to finally turn up 2 brand new bills. Again, they have to be treated fairly.

Also, both boys are 'all stars' (unbeknownst to us, the cards we got for them, were 'all stars!'); and apparently starting at age 7, they have been playing with 12 year olds. So, good on them! Does not hurt to mention that my blood parents were also athletes. Glad the athletic genes have passed on to my children and then on to the grandsons. My earth Dad was also an athlete and we grew up in an athletic environment.

Earlier today I enjoyed watching www.intouch.org/ with Dr. Charles Stanley.

As a plus, here are three wonderful snapshots of thriving life in our garden! Two pictures are of a bittid snail on our tree; and the other is of our 'pet' crow. These are tidbit awesome Blessings, methinks!

Peace and God Bless.

Enjoying our day of rest!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Appreciated my elixir of coffee that Alan brought me earlier this morning; and it was nice to not get up early. I stayed in bed and watched a couple of programs on T.V. Am glad it is overcast, even threatening a bit of rain. The cooler temperatures will refresh and bring relief to all the plants and flowers.

We have much to be thankful for! Many Blessings! We are enjoying our garden and the produce has provided wonderful tasty additions to our meals. There is nothing tid nicer than the bittids of fresh home grown veggies, spices, and herbs. The cherry tomatoes are starting to ripen and it won't be long, until we can eat them. Love the smell of tomato plants; there is something so down to earth with their earthy fragrance. Same with the freshly fallen rain upon the ground or breathing in the summer night air.

As mentioned, we enjoyed a full week and am glad we did a few extra errands on Friday; rather than the original thought to leave them for tomorrow. Because, as it happens, other plans have come up.

This morning on Dr. Stanley www.intouch.org/ shares about TRUTH. Best to watch the video for his invigorating tidbits.

Also, I watched with Pastor Barber (Faith To Live By) faithbiblechurch.ca/author/fbc-pastor/and he was excellent as well. He encourages those who have questions, to write him. There were 4 good questions sent in. He also touched upon the meaning of success and what matters overall. Best to tune into him too, for his wise and illuminating words.

Both ministries further strengthened and reaffirmed my focus and resolve to be steadfast and true to His Will and Word. So for those of you who have been labelled as 'losers', you are not; because He LOVES you. Simply choose to invite Christ into your hearts; as He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. He can do all things.

Love this wonderful photo image. Calm, restful, comforting, and peaceful.

Peace and God Bless.

Blessings Come Back Twofold!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

We just celebrated Canada Day on July 1st! Today is July 4th, the American Day of Celebration. We all have so much to be thankful for! The freedom to enjoy and appreciate special barbecues with families, friends, and neighbours. As well as to remember and honour all those who have made sacrifices and a difference in gaining our democracy and our independence.

To recap a bittidz, we were invited to a neighbour's for a barbecue a couple of weeks ago. It was lovely; and a nice evening was spent enjoying wonderful food with gracious people on their newly renovated and cosy patio. Anyway, a day or two later, we discover that 'someone' had put in some very real looking green leaves in our front cornflower blue pots, which have colourful begonias of reds, pinks, peach and whites. The extra bit of green foliage really spruces the flowers up; looks very realistic! It was done anonymously; we wrote a THANK YOU! on a piece of cardboard, so 'whomever' was kind enough to have done that, will have seen it and know that we appreciated their simple tidbit of kindness.

We have been giving away various plants (ie Bravehearts that Alan has germinated from seeds), clematis, mint, and other spices to various friends and neighbours. So we think it was one of them. One of our friends, a couple (our age), popped by with a bottle of red wine (red wine is considered healthy) as a thank you. Alan has given them a number of tid plants. His wife had been recently diagnosed with cancer and it would appear that the operation for removing the tumour was successful. Amen.

In a nutshell, our garden is thriving with life! Friends and neighbours stop to admire the garden; as well as the dogs who drag their owners to our gate for their treats. If nothing else, everyone feels uplifted (including the dogs! LOL!) after they have been by. This bolsters our spirits as well. We are enjoying several spices / herbs in our meals; be it on meat, chicken, veggies, in salads, sauces, soups etc. This has been the best year yet for our bittid patch of produce.

We have planted 32 geraniums and they are now starting to come into magnificent colourful bloom. We got them as bit seedlings several weeks ago; and we are appreciating their specialness of being 'late bloomers.'

We have had a lot on the go and it is amazing how quickly the time flies by. We had 'Sheba' with us for a tidbitz time and she just left yesterday. She is an eleven year young Golden Lab and what a joy! Nice, friendly, gentle temperament; 'talks', wags her tail a lot, is smart, obedient, well trained, and loves her walks and fetching the ball. When we had to drive to the 'Big City' the other day, we took her with us. She was 'talking' all the while, wagging her tail non stop. The windows were down a bittid, so she could safely enjoy the fresh air! Methinks if we were to have another family pet, I would consider a Golden Lab. When her family came to pick her up, she literally growled at them; as if she did not want to leave. Afterall, she was still enjoying her 'summer holiday.' LOL! Her family feel this is like a 'second home' to her; so we look forward to having her stay with us again. Methinks it is very tidbit true that 'good dogs' have good owners.

Also, my Mum passed away on July 2nd; so we did a rememberance 'Skal to Absent Friends' to her. I can almost see her, as if it were tid yesterday. It does not feel as if several years have gone by. She taught me much as well; and she had a certain style, a grace, an elegance, and a 'generosity of spirit.' She was from an 'era' gone by; and both Alan and I were brought up in that old fashioned era as well.

Tidbit - A gentle smile, a kind word of encouragement, a random act of kindness is uplifting. If more people treated each other better, there would be less stress, less grief in the world. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Bittid - Always have a joyful and thankful heart and Trust in Him. Be a Blessing to all those you meet! It comes back twofold!

The two pictures are of the 'before and after' of the added greenery.

Peace and God Bless.
