Glad it is Friday evening

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world! It is dark and gloomy; a typical Fall night.

Well, it has been another tid full day, with some good news; in that we have many Blessings to be THANKFUL for. However, it has been somewhat overshadowed with some bittidz disappointments. ie. A key individual who is working on our behalf (and there have already been undue delays), just told us later this afternoon, that he is going on holiday mid week. 'Oopsy doodle'; that sort of 'leaves us in the lurch.' We have kept other options open (a prudent thing to do, methinks); but it does appear that we may have to initiate yet another strategy. However, we are having now to re evaluate; and that God must have another Purpose (we have been learning lessons all along). Currently, we do not quite understand this latest go around; save that we TRUST He HAS a GOOD PLAN; and most likely, an even better one for us!

Have also been participating as a 'newcomer', in a home based business (which I love!); and these 'darned' distractions have been a bit of a hindrance; however I am doing my best to work around all these various tidbitz challenges.

I had hoped to share some bittids re: 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org); 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org); and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca) from the Vision Channel, that I so enjoy watching on Sunday mornings. I do not mind sharing their wonderful teachings of encouragement and empowering enlightenment; however, it truly is more beneficial to tune into their programs / websites to receive the direct tidbits of knowledge.

Tidbit - 'Keep on Trekking'; turn disappointments into delights. 'Fear Not, For He has Overcome the World' - those are comforting thoughts of hope and refuge.

Bittid - 'Appreciate the little things' and 'keep things simple'. Plus, GIVE Him your burdens; He will carry them for you. 'Praise Him In ALL Things' in all circumstances, regardless.

This photo image is of an exquisite oyster plate; which we have from a very dear friend. If you look at it closely, you can see the outline of a turkey! I just thought the two pictures would compliment each other with the majestic colours of Autumn!

We are glad it is the weekend; and we will take these upcoming two days to reflect and reconsider our plans for next week, under His Guidance. 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light'; and we have turned everything over to Him to work out. Thus, we will be 'of steadfast good cheer', and enjoy the weekend, as it unfolds. It is now pouring with rain; however, I do not mind; as this just increases our joy for appreciating Him and our cosy abode all the more.

Good Night, Peace and God Bless.

Blessings

Hi again,

Well, (that is a deep subject - you can refer to my tidbit post of June 13/07, if you wish a bittid of info) we managed to get a fair amount done within the last few hours; including the driving in this deluge of rain. Good now to be back at home on this rather dismal, bleak fall day. The autumn leaves though, are absolutely gorgeous and their splendid colours really show up in the rain!

Should mention too, that the photo image is from some of my earlier posts. Am not able to locate it at this tid moment; however, when I do find it, I will give you the dates of the posts for a bit of background. We happen to have this unique antique plate; and everytime I pass by it, I always chuckle! It is an 'oyster' plate; in the sense that the gentleman is swept away by his love for tidbitz oysters. A bittidz pearl of wisdom: Keep life simple and enjoy each and every day; as each day is special! We all have Blessings to be thankful for!

Time to make some calls. Here is wishing you a great day, with positive outcomes!

Peace and God Bless.

Enjoying a rainy morning!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It is pouring with rain; a most dreary, blustery Autumn morning! If possible, a perfect tid day to stay indoors / at home, and not have to drive / go anywhere. However, we have 'people to see, places to go'; which are located a good hour's drive away. We had a non stop day of tidbitz activity yesterday; and am glad now for this quiet moment, before we embark out our door, in the next little bit. OOPS, the phone just rang; spoke too soon! LOL!

Am now back - some 45 mins later. It was a call from a dear friend, that I had not spoken to for several months. On our route today, we will pop in to see her; as she lives out in 'that neck of the woods'.

As the bittidz expression goes, we do have several 'irons in the fire'; and we are simply waiting for results. There have been some huge 'hoops to jump through'; however, step by step, we are getting closer to achieving fruition.

Should mention, that we enjoyed a wonderful evening last night with our elderly, yet 'youthful' neighbour. Our meal consisted of a 'hot pot' of two soup broths (one spicy, one milder); and we cooked various tidbit morsels in the soups. ie. oysters, shrimp, spinach, noodles, chicken, beef, wontons, fish, etc etc etc. Plus great sauces to dip them in! Mmmmmm. DELICIOUS; and an entertaining experience! I was in bittid error; he is not Japanese. He is of Chinese descent. Very interesting man; he has travelled to many parts of the world. We were 'spellbound' (or at least I was!) to hear some of his stories. I suggested to him that he should write a book! Apparently, he has already been approached to do just that; and he is contemplating it; to which I replied, he should just 'go for it!' So who knows?

We will be inviting him over for dinner before too long; and our repas will consist of a mixture of Italian and French food! I look forward to cooking up something special!

Earlier this morning, I received the following passage; and it is an encouraging message, methinks. Thank you to my friend who sent it; much appreciated!

"A nurse on the pediatric ward, before listening to the little ones chests, would plug the stethoscope into their ears and let them listen to their own hearts. Their eyes would always light up with awe, but she never got a response equal to four-year old David's comment.

Gently she tucked the stethoscope into his ears and placed the disk over his heart. 'Listen', she said...........'What do you suppose that is?' He drew his eyebrows together in a puzzled line and looked up as if lost in the mystery of the strange tap - tap - tapping deep in his chest.

Then his face broke out in a wondrous grin and he asked, "Is that Jesus knocking on my door?"

Wow - live as this is so…for He is even less than a heart beat away!"

Have to go for now; hope to be back later. If not, tomorrow. I really like the humour and the expression on this dear fellow's face, as he delightfully devours his oysters! Methinks, it is good to smile / laugh; and all the more, on dark and cold days!

Peace and God Bless.

Morning Blessings

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Yesterday came and went. Was a full tidbitz day; and things are still in 'delay mode'. However, have been reassured we will know more today. We have a number of 'irons in the fire'; but we have 'turned everything over to Him' (Christ) to resolve.

Tidbit - There are times, when 'delays' can be Blessings in disguise.

Yesterday was one of those days. Guided by Him and the Holy Spirit, we have a calm and a joyful confidence, that will help us make the right decision(s). He has a Purpose and a Plan for each and every one us; as He LOVES us all unconditionally; and WANTS THE BEST FOR US ALL. Alan and I are Thankful for our daily Blessings. ie. Each day is a 'mini Thanksgiving' to us. We Trust and take Refuge, in knowing He has a GOOD PLAN for us. We are also learning tidbit lessons along the way; be it from let downs, greed of others, or whatever bittid challenges show up.

Bittid - When you 'surrender' or 'turn everything over to Him,' it is as if a huge weight has been removed from your heart / shoulders. When things appear to be 'overwhelming' or just 'too much', just cast all your burdens upon Him. He never gives you more than you can carry at any one time. 'Seek and Ye Shall Find'.

Where we live, we have wonderful neighbours. One of them, is a lovely elder Japanese gentleman, and we have invited him over to our home for a meal. He happily accepted; with the caveat that he would like to take us out to dinner first. Alan had suggested to him, not to worry about that; however, I am all for it! LOL! His name is Alan as well; and his wife passed away about a year or two ago. According to 'Maureen' (one of our other special neighbours), he rarely eats dinner at home; usually goes to a restaurant. Even when his wife was alive, they ate out most of the time; and would often invite Maureen (and her husband, - no longer here) on many occasions.

Also, when we were 'out and about' yesterday, we 'ran into' a few people we had not seen for awhile. A genuine and uplifting compliment goes such a long way; and 'Do unto Others as you would have them do unto you' is so tid true.

Was up early this dull cloudy morning; and was appreciative for the peace and quiet. Am enjoying my elixir of coffee and looking forward to seeing what fruition today will bring. Had also a bit of Prayer 'dialogue' with Him this am, and am expecting GOOD and positive outcomes!

Here is wishing you an extra special day! It is what you make of each day; one day at a time. Plus with Him at the Helm, Directing your path (He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light'), you can not lose!

Love these three pictures (taken last March) with their comforting Blessings. It is also of my favourite coffee mug. Cheers with a cup of coffee!

Peace and God Bless.

Thankful for the evening!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Have not forgotten about sharing a few tidbits and tid ephifanies that I joyfully gleaned from the empowering teachings from the Vision Channel programs; yesterday morning, as well as last Sunday. ie. 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org); 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org); and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca). Will happily be doing that, before too long.

We enjoyed a nice evening of 'good cheer' with my son; and, if you wish, you can refer to yesterday's post for a bit of background.

Today we have been tied up with business bittids. There were a few disappointments and delays; so we are on call for tomorrow. Wanted to just say that TRUSTING Him is where it is ALL at; regardless of your challenging circumstances. Basically, you just have to keep on trekking and think POSITIVE thoughts; and RELY upon Him (Christ) to Direct your path and Provide your needs.

Tidbit - As mentioned before, 'Live one day at a time; and do your best for that day'. Do not second guess about yesterday; and do not have angst or fear for tomorrow. Give Him TODAY! Continue to have a Thankful and joyful heart, and 'Praise Him in ALL Things'.

Bittid - 'Keep things simple!' Also, KNOW that He has a Purpose and a GOOD Plan for each and every one of us. That is of steadfast encouragement, methinks!

Am looking forward to being on an evening call soon; as it will give me some helpful tidbitz on being successful at a home-based business. Will also appreciate a glass of red wine (good for the arteries!)while I listen and learn some exciting bittidz from one of the best!

Took this photo a few weeks ago; but was not able to upload the photo image at the time. However, it was to show the 'autumn' floral centre piece (such as it is, picked from our garden) and the picture just happened to include some of our oyster plates, that we have enjoyed collecting, these past few years. Now just to have some oysters! LOL! However, I will content myself with a few 'pearls of wisdom', I will learn from tonight's call!

Here is wishing you a nice evening.

Peace and God Bless.

Enjoying rest and refuge

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

My most recent post, 'Thankful moments', was October 22nd. Eventhough a few bittid days have passed since then, we are still experiencing 'Thankful moments!' Friday and Saturday went by in a 'whir'; and today has been a complete day of 'rest'. Was enlightened with more tidbit ephifanies from the Vision Channel this morning. ie. 'Hour of Power', 'Enjoying Everyday Life', and 'Living Truth'. I watched appreciatively from our bed, along with my much needed elixir cup of coffee, that Alan made for me. I was grateful for staying put this Sunday morning; it was a peaceful 'sanctuary', if you will.

It has been pouring 'cats and dogs' today; so it is a great day to be at home. Will share a 'dog tidbitz' with you in another post; which is about our Blue. On 'Hour of Power', there is a compelling dog story; and for those of you interested, to access it sooner, here is the website - www.hourofpower.org.

Have to admit, that with the past few weeks, we have had some 'extraordinary' challenges; and yet, He has helped us to valiantly TRIUMPH and OVERCOME them. He has already WON. ie. 'Fear Not, For I have OVERCOME the World'. He is our ADVOCATE; and we are taking a bittidz of a 'rest' today. He is PROVIDING us with a restful REFUGE; so that our batteries are 'recharged'; and we are reassured, knowing He IS our Provider. We are enjoying the moments (they are all special moments; it is what you make of them) of today; and tomorrow will take care of itself. He does not want us to 'worry', have 'angst',or 'doubts', or 'fears.' He SIMPLY WANTS us to just give Him TODAY; and not to fret about tomorrow or yesterday (which has already gone).

My son is coming over tonight for dinner and to watch the hockey game with us. It will be refreshing to see him. We went out a bit earlier, and purchased a bottle of red wine (South African!) and some beer (for the game), along with fresh veggies and fruit, and then the dessert, last but not least! LOL! The dessert took us to our local mall; and the vanilla ice cream was a 2/3 savings! Also, at the nearby bakery; the chap (not normally there on Sundays); was most pleasant and gave us a wonderful break on the large lemon meringue pie. LOVE LEMON MERINGUE PIE! He was saying that eventhough, he has lowered his prices, he has MORE customers! To Alan and I, that makes total economic sense (economies of scale); and, it was so inspirational to meet a new and likeminded friend!

Tomorrow, we have an early start. However, we are thoroughly ENJOYING today. Be of GOOD CHEER! Also, when someone asks you, 'How are you?' For fun, joyfully and confidently reply with: 'Never better!'; regardless of your tid circumstances. Very interesting, what next takes place - all positive! I have shared a few tidbits re: 'Never Better' in some past posts. ie. "Never Better!" (1/7/08); and "'Never Better' always stick in my mind!"(1/8/08), if you wish some background.

Love the above picture I took a few days ago, of our pink orchids (birthday gift from Alan); it still is blooming fantastically and magnificently brightens up our cosy living room! To think that God created the Universe in six days! Wow! And to create such beautiful flowers such as this, is an awesome Blessing!

Here is wishing you a nice weekend for what is left of it.

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

Thankful moments

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Can not believe that three days have 'zoomed zoomed zoomed' by us! We have been putting our 'noses to the grindstone' with the various tidbitz tasks we have had to accomplish, as well as overcoming some bittidz unexpected challenges.

May have mentioned that we thought we had an agreement (verbal); but the individual 'turned'; and so we have been doing our utmost to take care of things. There are now other options afoot, that we have looked into; and looking back on hindsight, this may be an even better solution. He DOES HAVE A GOOD PLAN!

Tidbit - 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life'. He has already WON; so when He says: 'Fear Not, For I have OVERCOME the world', right on! He has helped us immeasurably; one day at a time, I might add; even if it is little steps at a time. Total TRUST in Him is paramount!

Bittid - Verbal agreements / 'gentlemanly agreements' does not appear to be honoured anymore. Or at least, they are 'few and far between'. My Dad did everything on a 'gentleman agreement'. His word was his word. SIMPLE. However, now, it is best to get everything in writing; confirming after a verbal agreement is 'discussed', to then clarify with assured integrity.

From experience, I do believe in 'comupence'; and / or 'what goes around, comes around', as the expression goes. The GOOD thing is, He already sees and knows what is going on; and Alan and I are leaving the FIGHT to Him to Resolve. As I mentioned earlier, He HAS ALREADY WON! Alan and I have FAITH, HOPE, and TRUST that He will Provide an even better Solution!

Also, 'The TRUTH sets you free'. In the tid meantime, we have been 'working around the clock', with putting our projects together; regardless of the latest display of predatorial greed and dishonour. We have PRAYED for the Holy Spirit to indwell within us, and to 'touch the hearts' of all those He has put us in touch with. ALL in ACCORDANCE WITH HIS WILL, HIS PURPOSE, AND HIS PLAN. We TRUST, that He has a GOOD PLAN for us; THUS, we are enthusiastically expecting a magnificent BREAKTHROUGH! (Am thinking anytime soon, would be nice! LOL!) However, we must 'WAIT upon the Lord'.

We have also received GOOD news on other fronts; more about that a bit later.

Also today, we bought a lottery ticket for tomorrow. The florist shop owner (now a friend), we purchased it from, told us that he is looking forward to receiving a 1% (of the $30 million lotto win) from us! He has never said that before to us; and in this case (a verbal agreement), we shook hands on it! SHOULD IT BE TO 'OUR GOOD FORTUNE'(as my uncle says), I would have no problem GIVING him the $300K. Absolutely not! His life would definitely be changed for the better. He is in his mid 80's, and he has worked extremely hard all his life. My heart goes out to him; and I believe in 'spreading the wealth'. HOWEVER, utlizing it with GRACE, WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING, UNDER HIS GUIDANCE (The Holy Spirit) TO being GOOD STEWARDS with that type of monumental Blessing.

Yes, I am rambling on; but whatever; it has been an interesting time.... Alan just poured me a glass of white (South African) vino; and it is wonderfully hitting the spot. SKAL! According to our florist friend, someone won the second prize in the lotto (purchased from his store) and the man 'promised' to give him something should he win; but he did not honour his word. Our friend is more upset at the fact that the person did not keep their promise or word. If he did not say anything, fine. Made me think of the harsh situation / storm we have ENDURED very recently.

Yesterday, I went to bed at approx 4:30 pm. Was exhausted (not complaining; or not meaning to) and ended up watching some British soaps. I had never seen these particular shows before; and they were highly amusing. British Humour! That was / is a tidbit of a Godsend! Also, I kept hearing the thoughts 'REST, and REST IN ME'. He is our REFUGE AND OUR STRENGTH. That is just 'what the doctor ordered', methinks!

There are times when it is good to 'step back', and simply recharge one's bittid batteries. I did that yesterday afternoon / early evening, and am grateful I did REST. Today has been a full day; and tomorrow, we have an early start. We are hopeful to having everything 'wrapped up' within the next week or so.

Have not forgotten about sharing some bittids re: 'Hour of Power', 'Enjoying Everyday Life', and 'Living Truth' and I will, soon. Wonderful inspirational insights about 'Breakthroughs' and Trust in Him, were imparted last Sunday on the Vision Channel. Not to just listen to / heed / hear counsel for just one day; it is for each and every day thereafter; to Follow Him, totally Trust, and Rely genuinely upon Him. Here are the three encouraging websites again, for those of you, who want to know / understand more!- www.hourofpower (Dr. Robert Schuller); www.joycemeyer.org (Joyce Meyer); and www.livingtruth.ca (Charles Price).

Pizza (from Costco) is cooking in our oven; and I love the delicious smell permeating our home. Mmmmmm. Alan creates such a savoury meal, addiing a tid of this, and a bit of that. LOL! Eventhough, I like cooking, I am very thankful Alan enjoys cooking so much! (I have been spoiled rotten!) We, indeed, have many Blessings to be Grateful for! 'Praise Him in ALL Things'.

Hope some of these tidbits have been an uplift to you; and / or to others you know, that might appreciate a lift during these tougher times.

Love the above photo image; that will be Alan and I appreciatively tonight!

Until tomorrow. Good night.

Peace and God Bless.

Enthusiastic expectations

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Whew! It has been a full day thus far; plus a few unexpected (unnecessary) surprises. Not good ones. However, we are doing our best and are enthusiastically expecting Him to Prevail. (see Joyce Meyer re: 'enthusiastic expectations!') Actually, in that regard, we have an unsolicited meeting tomorrow morning at our home, with an individual who may be able to genuinely help us. We know and TRUST there is a simple solution to all of this.

We have been concerned with honouring a certain 'person'; and yet, it is appearing as if he may not be on the same page? I am being as 'diplomatic' as possible. So, the simplest GOOD plan would be to go with another option; which would be the best, by far! AGAIN, we THANK Him; because He has given us a greater DISCERNMENT, UNDERSTANDING, and CLARITY. 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life'. NO question, whatsoever!

Also when opening up a bottle of wine for dinner, I cut my right 2nd finger quite severely; and it is amazing to see all the blood flowing. However, stitches are out of the question; eventhough, the bleeding has not yet stopped, even now as I type, bandaid and all. Also, I guess with 'pounding' the computer key board, does not help either.

Will be back with some tidbits about 'Hour of Power', 'Enjoying Everyday Life', and 'Living Truth'. Here are their websites for your own perusal; if you wish to check out their enlightening messages. - www.hourofpower.org; www.joycemeyer.org; and www.livingtruth.ca.

Also, earlier today, when it was not raining, we tidied up our bittid patio; covering the glass table / ice cream chairs and raking the fallen leaves (for the compost). Now everything is prepared protectively against cooler temperatures. Alan will tend to our plants in the near future; doing the same type of TLC measure.

Writing of TLC measure, here is the beautiful pink orchid plant that Alan gave me for my birthday; it is STILL BLOOMING! Thus, so is our daily FAITH, HOPE, and TRUST in Him to DIRECT our Path. He HAS a PURPOSE, in synct with a GOOD PLAN for us! BLESSINGS IN ABUNDANCE!

Here is wishing you a nice evening. Will be back with some more bittids tomorrow.

Peace and God Bless.

Thoughts in memory

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

This is just a brief bit post; as I will be back tomorrow with more tidbits!

Enjoyed a refreshing morning; watched the Vision Channel with 'Hour of Power' and 'Enjoying Everyday Life'; and saw some bittids of 'Living Truth'. The rest of the day just flew!

Tonight, we sat outside on our upstairs balcony; and it was so peaceful. Alan and I shared many tid thoughts. One of them was that I wished that my Dad was still alive and that what I know now, I could have spiritually shared with him. Alas, that is not possible. We are told to not grieve or lament upon yesterday. That is true. However, I believe that my Dad is in Heaven, and that he knows my thoughts. He had been gone for 10.5 years; hard to fathom.

Tidbit - Life is too short. Communicate with your family; before it is too late. So that there are fewer laments; should there be words unsaid.

Bittid - Being straight up is best. The Truth sets you free.

Tonight we saw the movie, 'Mama Mia'. What a wonderful movie! LOVED IT! But then, I have always had an affinity towards Greece, for whatever reason. That is one country that I have always wanted to visit! This movie, made me think of my Dad (I was adopted); thus, methinks, a few sad thoughts. I wish he was still here with us. My adopted parents did the best they could to bring me up; and, I am totally Thankful for them! A BIG THANK YOU AND LOVE TO THEM!

Will be back tomorrow. We have a full day set before us; however, we are Praying to Him, in EXPECTATION for GOOD things to happen to us!

Love the above photo image! 'Seek and Ye Shall Find!'

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

Saturday night at home

Good Evening,

It has been a great day; and we anticipate with grateful thanks, a really nice R & R evening at home.

After my morning post, we went out to do some bittidz errands; as well as 'looking for' some 'street people'. Alan had made a huge batch of turkey soup (from our leftover Thanksgiving turkey); and he had a large box of clothing from years ago, that contained socks (washed), T shirts, sweaters, scarves, a couple of jackets, and a warm ski jacket with matching waterproof overalls.

On route, we went to the 'consignment shop' and the $31.50 we received, went a long way.

Should mention on Friday, the 9th of October, the start of the Thanksgiving long weekend, we were given $62.50 from our consigned cup and saucer sales. That gift was a 'Blessing' to us; as it permitted us to buy a ten pound turkey, a package of whole cranberries (which I made homemade cranberry sauce from), 'Idaho' potatoes (for mashed potatoes), brussel sprouts, pumpkin pie, ice cream, and a bottle of South African red wine. Made from scratch thick gravy (it was delicious!) from the juices and the turkey giblets. We also bought our lotto ticket; which ultimately won us $20.00. We were exceedingly Thankful; as our pockets and larder were somewhat empty; certainly devoid of any Thanksgiving festivity food. As mentioned in the Thanksgiving post, we really enjoyed our Thanksgiving weekend; as well as receiving pivotal tidbit good news on Monday; which assisted us for deadline Tuesday - ALL HIS DOING!

So, with the 'new found money' of $31.50 today, we bought another lotto ticket, 2 firelogs, and two tasty Greek phyllo spinach & squash filled croissants. This made our Bakery lady friend happy; as I do not think she had too many sales today. Also, in the local mall, there was a preserves / bazaar sale put on by a nearby Church group; so I ended up treating us to a small jar of homemade apple cider jelly. Ran also into some good friends (old enough to be our parents); and they are still as energetic as ever! An amazing couple; looking as 'young as ever!' A thoughtful tidbitz, methinks a positive attitude, an enthusiastic spirit, and a genuine empathy for others, goes a long way to be 'young at heart!'

Going back to the 'street people'; we 'found' two that were so thankful to see food; as well as socks, a warm scarf to wrap around an exposed neck, and a thick sweater. There was nothing to fear; or at least we were not fearful and they were 'good' people. They were in their mid 60's to 70's.

Then further afield, on the 'east side', we came across a man (in his early 60's). He was on the other side of the street and we were going in the opposite direction. I told Alan to turn around; that that man needed the ski outfit etc. Turns out, he was in need of a jacket etc; as all his belongings (not many) were soaking wet from the previous night's rain. He was attempting to dry them out. He sleeps on the street; apparently it is 'safer'. Our hearts went out to him. When I first saw him, he was attempting to shave and wash his upper part of his body. He was truly appreciative, and we know that the ski outfit will act as a 'sleeping bag' to protect him and keep him dry tonight. Plus the outfit fit him like a glove and the colours looked fantastic on him!

Then we ran into two others, then a band of five, and finally one more, before we ended up at our final destination, The Union Gospel Mission. The bittid clothing that was left, went to their 'free bin'; so that will supply those in need, as well.

I happened to tell our Bakery lady friend and our two older friends about our day. They thought that was 'very nice' of us. I immediately said; That is not why I am sharing this with you. It is because it feels GOOD TO GIVE; and that we all have so many Blessings to be Thankful for; and that this in turn, gives everyone a 'BOOST' of HOPE! When I see them again, I will gently share a witness with them, that it is the 'generosity of spirit' from the Holy Spirit, that encourages us to Give.

A short while ago, we devoured our good friend's home made split pea soup that she also brought over for us, when she came over on Wednesday evening. (She also brought over a bottle of white wine and a firelog! A good friend to have! LOL!). The soup was excellent; and I served them in our two mini tureen 'bouillon' soup bowls; which I 'found' on Ebay years ago. Never have used the bowls; so it was all the more an exquisite occasion! Plus, the savoury croissants from the Bakery. Mmmmmm. Methinks, we will (or me for sure) will be having a tid light supper tonight.

Tidbit - 'What goes around, comes around'. 'Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you'.

Bittid - 'Better to give, than to receive.' Eventhough, it is wonderful to receive; it is also extra rewarding to give. ie. One can not put a price tag on the smiles received; nor can one, put a tag on giving genuine encouragement to uplift the spirits of others.

On our way to the 'street people', the sun came out; and lo and behold, a magnificent rainbow appeared! I thought, 'Wow!' To me, this low in the sky rainbow was awesome; and was a bountiful Blessing!

There is a 'special' warmth about this inviting photo image, methinks. As mentioned earlier, we are home for the night; and it is now pouring 'cats and dogs' again; with dark overcast skies. You can refer to yesterday's evening post, if you wish a bit of background.

Also the Canucks are playing again tonight; and I wish them all the best. Also, there may be a good Saturday night movie to watch later. Hope you enjoy a nice evening as well.

Peace and God Bless.

A morning calm

Good Morning, or whatever the best greeting is to you, in your part of the world!

It is Saturday morning; pouring with rain, and heavy duty fall weather. A good tidbitz day to stay at home!

Am thankful that the photo image uploading works; felt rather isolated without the inclusion of pictures to my posts, for this past month or so. A huge Thank you, to my son!

I love the majesty of Fall, with all its vivid colours and splendour! Also, an appreciative acknowledgment of thanks, to whomever took the beautiful and artistic photo of the delicate Autumn morning mist. I will enjoy utlizing that picture, as a Fall feature, as methinks it is a glorious vision to the eyes.

Also, tomorrow morning, I look forward to watching the Vision Channel! Methinks it is best, to 'take bittidz notes', whilst I embrace the Biblical teachings / encouraging insights from 'Hour of Power', 'Enjoying Everyday Life', and 'Living Truth'. The 'notes' will help me share a few tidbits with you. However, better to check into their quality websites, to receive the information first hand; as they have wonderful resources to be of assistance.

Did not watch 'Living Truth' with Charles Price (www.livingtruth.ca) last Sunday, as a neighbour popped in for a planned visit. Also, 'Enjoying Everyday Life' with Joyce Meyer (www.joycemeyer.org), was awesome, and I was further enlightened by her message, which endorsed my ephifanies all the more! There are NO tid coincidences, folks!

With 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org), the teachings were / are so uplifting. I enjoyed the stories shared by Sheila Schuller Coleman, about her personal childhood experience with the 'electric fence', and also her ordeal re: the 'crossing over the chasm'. To quote a part of her invaluable message:

"If you want to find your life, lose your life to Jesus. Lose your life to His God-given dream for you. Lose your life to what God wants you to do to help others, to make a positive difference. Lose your life to making it count. I pray every day, "Lord, I choose to lose my life. I lose it so You can use it. I will live it away, I will give it away." That, my friends, is the secret to a full filling, overflowing life. And I tell you, it's a lifetime guarantee."

I know I am being a bit repititive; however, for those of you, who are feeling discouraged, weary, afraid, etc, check these inspirational websites out. Or,'Pay it Forward' and let others know, that you know may be 'hurting',sad etc. These International Bible Teachers offer solid Biblical teachings and Hope. It is never too late to 'Open your heart' to Him and when you INVITE Him in, He will NEVER leave you.

This morning, I enjoyed my Prayer 'dialogue' with Him; and I asked for the Holy Spirit to Infill me and to Guide me throughout the Day. He helped us through a very tough time (as per recent posts) and that has strengthened our resolve, knowing He is THERE FOR US. He has a PURPOSE and a GOOD PLAN for each and every one of us. All we have to do, is 'SURRENDER' to Him, and let Him Direct our Path. 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life'.

Tidbit - Have total TRUST in the Lord. He PROVIDES SOLUTION.

Will add that sometimes, 'Prayers' are not answered as quickly as one would like. However, we have to remember, that it is in ACCORDANCE with His Will, Purpose and Overall Plan; as He knows what is best for each and every one of us. TRUST in Him, KNOWING He ALWAYS has a GOOD Plan for you. There are times too, when 'Blessings in Disguise', ARE for the best.

Bittid - First thing in the morning, continually throughout the day, last thing at night, focus on being Indwelled by the Holy Spirit. ie. Be joyful, enjoy a daily confident calm, as well as appreciating each and every day, to 'Rest and Abide in Him', as He Shows you the Way.

Have found / am finding that Alan's and my life is far simpler, when we just genuinely 'turn everything over to Him'; as He helps us OVERCOME all obstacles. There is more joy, more appreciation, more Blessings, hence, MORE ABUNDANCE! - GOOD PLANS! We THANK Him all the more!!!!

Hope these bittids provide some good cheer and encouragement. I love the above photo image, with its empowering message!

Peace and God Bless.

Evening Blessings

Good Evening again,

My son was over for dinner tonight - We thoroughly appreciated - Pizza from Costco (Alan dressed it up with pepperoni, salami, peppers, red onion, old cheddar cheese, and other tidbit seasonings), my 'creative' Caesar salad, and a glass of South African Red Wine; followed with bakery bought pumpkin pie and vanilla ice cream. Eventhough the Canucks came in second tonight, we enjoyed a delicious repas and a nice visit with my son.

My son is very good on the computer; and he may have corrected the 'upload image'. I happened to pick the above photo image; and it fits! ie. Happy news, now that the photo image is working again. Blessings!

Once again, we are thankful it is the weekend; and these next two days will give Alan and I a bittid of a restful reprieve from the 'rollercoaster' upheaval we have experienced recently. Also, I will get back on track with the home based business I have just become involved with; ie by learning more about the wonderful products, and digesting the compensation plan. To say, we have been distracted with other matters, is an understatement.

Also, we are continuing to expand with our next plan; AND, we are leaving everything to Him to Resolve and Direct our Path. 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light.'

Tis now bit time to say Good Night; feel that the 'sandman' is beckoning to me.

Apart from saying an Intercessary Prayer for the Canucks (they are still 'warming up', methinks), I will also Pray that the 'Homer Refs' make reasonable calls in all their future NHL games. Not a case of sour grapes; simply a tid observation.

Until tomorrow.

Sweet Dreams, Peace, and God Bless.

Thankful for Friday evening

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

The time has just whirled by us! A lot has happened since I last wrote yesterday morning!

We had a good meeting yesterday afternoon; and combined with other tidbitz tasks, we arrived home in the early evening hours. We will have more info to share after Monday / Tuesday. Also, we had an unexpected phone call; and we may hear more from them over the weekend. It would appear that 'another carrot' is being dangled under our noses. However, we are Seeking His Counsel, before we make such a major decision. We are leaving everything to Him to Conduct and Direct; and we are in His Hands. We trust and know He has His Purpose, along with a GOOD Plan for us. What occured Tuesday, has buoyed and encouraged our spirits! The last two posts give you some bittidz details, if you wish a bit of an update.

Earlier this morning, Alan saw his doctor / surgeon for the renewal of the prescription, Celebrex, (buying it from Costco, is far cheaper) as well as confirming his knee operation, slated for November. After the appointment, we picked up our monthly kitchen larder of supplies from Costco. Costco has such wonderful items; and our large calculator that we bring with us, is very helpful in keeping us focused on sticking to our list.

My son is coming over this evening for dinner and to watch the hockey. We are looking forward to seeing him; plus we are thankful that it is the weekend. It is pouring with rain; so we are glad to be home for the night. A tid time to relax, as well as a quiet time to recharge our batteries; and to refresh, reflect, and refocus on our upcoming goals.

Will be back tomorrow. In the meantime, here is wishing you an uplifting start to the weekend.

Peace and God Bless.

Ephifany after overcoming!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Believe it or not, we are still recovering from the last few days of 'overcomoing'. Whew; but are we ever THANKFUL! Thank you God! His Prevailing Help, gives us the courage to continue with what lies before us; knowing He Provides. Just 'rest' in Him; and let Him Direct your path.

Made a few bittid changes in yesterday's post,'Overcomers!'; so you may wish to reread it.

Also, wish to add, in addition to my comments yesterday about the banks (one of the Big Six in particular), of course, there is the value of having 'rules and regulations' - that is why the Canadian banks are the strongest in the world.

However, it would appear that this bank cares more about their shareholders and profits, than showing a level of flexibility to their customers. Shareholders are naturally important; however, this bank has not exhibited the best 'PR' to their customers; eventhough their slogan suggests otherwise. We like the people in the bank; and they have their 'jobs' to hold onto; which we can appreciate. However, we have observed that it is a tense environment, and the turn over of staff in their branch / branches is unbelievable. Methinks, if there was more flexibility and customer assistance, there would be more clients; and that most likely would help this Big Bank generate a better position in its overall standings.

Am telling a tidbit tale on us; that perhaps Alan and I were putting too much trust in the bank to help, and in other institutions, when we should simply TRUST Him to Guide our Way; as 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light'. Let the Holy Spirit do its work, as He has a Purpose and a Plan for each and every one of us. As I said, He has a GOOD Plan for all of us.

We have been reassured by the wonderful bounty that we received from Him on Tuesday. Once again, we are all the more encouraged, knowing that He Provides our daily needs. Thanksgiving / Giving Thanks to Him, is what it is all about! So again, for those of you who doubt, or have fear or angst, or are discouraged, turn to Him and Invite Him genuinely into your heart. Let Him and the Holy Spirit provide the rest. 'Seek and Ye Shall Find!' Our experience is living proof that He Shows up!

Once again, for those of you who have questions etc, here are some awesome websites that you can refer to; that will give you insights and further knowledge. -www.hourofpower; www.joycemeyer.org; and www.livingtruth.ca.

We have an appointment this afternoon re: our Phase Two, Plan B; and we are Prayful for good results!

Peace and God Bless.

Overcomers!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It has been a full plate and then some! No complaints; however, there have been a lot of obstacles along the way; even when things looked to be 'worked out.' A 'particular' bank for example, took over an hour to 'verify' funds etc; and it did not appear to matter to them, that 'time was of the essence.' We will also be looking to solidifying a relationship with a competitor bank. From public opinion, Alan and I know, we are not the only ones that have been put through this type of rigamole 'procedure'. Perhaps, some of you can relate; and maybe, when there are enough clients that 'leave' this establishment, 'they' might ultimately 'get the message'. We think this was not necessary; save that 'they' want to capitalize on as much interest (withholding funds) as possible, to retrieve their lower standings / shares, compared to the other 'Big' banks (six in total). Hmmmm. Guess I shared a tidbit. I have no hard feelings; just expressing a bittid of customer dismay; and I know that there are many others, who have also experienced needless dissatisfactions. Even our good friend (who is coming over shortly) declared she has no dealings, whatsover, with this particular bank.

For those of you, who are genuinely concerned, we were successful in our final endeavours yesterday. ie. Plan A of Phase 1. We are so elated and relieved that 'things worked out'; I can hardly type or sit still! LOL! We KNOW that He Guided our Path and the Outcome. We TRUSTED in Him (Christ) totally; and we were magnificently provided for. That just encourages us all the more to be that much more joyful and appreciative for all of our Blessings. AND, that having the TRUST in Him, that He has a GOOD Plan for each and every one of us!

We had a predatorial situation re: our home; and it did not even have to be this way; and yet, we still had to go through all the gymnastics to resolve everything. We called upon Him in earnst, and He Prevailed in the 11th hour. So for those of you, who are utterly discouraged etc, and think the world is crashing in around you, think again! Pray constantly and BOLDLY to Him, have the unseen Trust in Him, and Know the TRUTH in His message, when He says: 'Fear Not, For I have OVERCOME the world'. He DOES, indeed, Provide your needs, all according to His Purpose and His Plan.

Alan and I have been 'on cloud nine' ever since we 'put to bed' the 'deadline' of yesterday. Eventhough, we are a bit weary, we have accomplished various tidbitz tasks today. Our good friend is coming over in the next bittidz, for a tid visit, as well as partaking in homemade turkey soup and turkey sandwiches - prepared by 'Chef Alan'. My part is setting a gracious table, and the pouring of red (South African) wine into our beautiful crystal decanter (was a wedding present from my first marriage; and I have never used it, believe it or not). She will bringing a bottle of 'sparkly' to celebrate; and a log for the fire. It is pouring with rain, a dark overcast night; so we will enjoy a nice evening.

Tidbit - Do not rely upon your own understanding. Lean upon Him to Direct your path. Do not rely upon 'man'. There is a passage from the Bible that confirms that message; I will quote it, when I locate it. All I can say is, that is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

ie. Do not rely upon an institution / bank to assist. There are so many 'procedures' etc. Instead, be positive with a macro 'outside of the box' thinking; and RELY totally upon Him to Guide you - to 'whomever' He wishes. Methinks, He thinks MACRO! We would like to think we 'follow His counsel'; but we may have been too dependent upon 'others' to assist us, along the way. Turns out from experience, they, alas, were / are more of a hindrance, than a help. However, we have emerged in a stronger vein of FAITH, Knowing and Trusting that He will clearly Prevail! We have appreciated and reflected upon these enlightening ephifanies as of late!

Bittid - When you KNOW that He Helps you, be all the more confident and joyfully exhuberant; and that He has a GOOD PLAN for you; and He will Guide your path, according to His Purpose.

Have not forgotten about sharing ticbits from 'Hour of Power' and 'Enjoying Everyday Life'. For those of you, who wish to know more - here are their illuminating websites: www.hourofpower (Dr. Robert Schuller), and 'www.joycemeyer.org (Joyce Meyer). Also 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca) for some further bittids.

We are extremely grateful and appreciative for our home and for everything else, for that matter. Here is hoping that you may be uplifted in your own set of circumstances. We have been 'overcomers' (Thanks to Him!) and we are forever THANKFUL! Each and every day is like a 'mini' thanksgiving to us; however, it has now been all the more 'fast forwarded' to us.

Peace and God Bless.

Thoughts of Thanksgiving

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Feel as if it has been an age since I last wrote a post; eventhough, it was only two days ago.

Yesterday morning, I embraced the Vision Channel and watched 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org) and 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org). The programs provided me with some more enlightening ephifanies; and I will share a few tidbits with you in later posts. Alas, did not watch 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca) as a friend of ours came over for a tid visit.

We were thankful it was Sunday and for the most part, it was a 'day of rest'. However, we still had some calls to follow up with re: our Tuesday deadline. Later in the afternoon, we cooked up our small turkey, and later in the evening, appreciated a wonderful Thanksgiving meal of Alan's Scottish oatmeal stuffing, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, homemade gravy, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and ice cream. This Thanksgiving has been an extra special one for us; and we 'Praise Him In ALL Things'.

Tidbit - Psalm 91: v 1 & 2 - Security of the One Who Trusts in the Lord

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!"

I read those reassuring Biblical words, as well as the other fourteen verses of Psalm 91 today. That particular passage gave me such wonderful encouragement, and it was shortly thereafter, that we received some bittids of good news, which will boldly assist us in tomorrow's endeavour.

Bittid - Be of good cheer, 'keep things simple', and be genuinely appreciative for each day. Also, remembering to always Thank Him for Blessings.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, Alan and I treat each and every day like a 'mini Thanksgiving'.

Methinks, we will be seeing our bed sooner rather than later tonight, as we have a bit of an early start tomorrow. It is a perfect night to stay comfy and warm indoors; as it is a cool, crisp Fall evening.

Hope those of you who celebrated Thanksgiving, enjoyed a hearty one!

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

Saturday 10 October 2009

Happy Thanksgiving!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Yesterday came and went. A full day of calls, people, etc. If you wish, you can refer to my recent posts for some tidbit info. Our 'D Day' has been extended to this coming Tuesday; as it is the Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend. We are thankful for these few added days, as that gives us the extra time to have 'our ducks in line'.

As a bittid, we have been let down yet again. The greed is very apparent. We have also walked away from 'tempting' options; but in our hearts, we know that we would be 'selling ourselves short'; as well as jepoardizing a loyal and trusting friend. Loyal and trusting friends are few and far between; and we are grateful for his genuine friendship with us. It is amazing though, how many people do 'sell themselves short', due to fear, doubt, anxiety, greed, whatever shoe fits. What is even worse, Alan and I would be 'selling Him short', if we gave way to these 'carrot dangling' 'quick fix' temptations. We would not be 'prudent', nor 'honour bound' stewards of the Blessings He has Given us.

However, we know He has a Purpose and a GOOD Plan for us. There are definitely lessons being learned by Alan and I along the way. Am thinking what Charles Price, of 'Living Truth', said about 'bitter blessings'. You can read my post, 'Better Blessings' of September 29th for reference.

We know that Christ does not give any of us, any more burdens than we can carry at any one time. And, if you genuinely Ask Him to carry your burdens, He DOES - asap! Will say that we have had a number of burdens; and as of late, it would appear that they have all been saved up! Not complaining; but it has been an interesting less travelled road. However, we are ABIDING and TRUSTING in Him to Provide, and to SHOW us the Way; as 'He IS the Truth, The Way, and the Light'.

In this morning's quiet 'dialogue' Prayer with Him, I did ask 'Should we keep on trying?' - because so far, we have been disappointed, let down, and sadly have 'discerned' ulterior motives. However, there is something 'within' (the Holy Spirit) that keeps 'saying' to me: "Do Not Give Up; Do Not Quit". In a tid, we are Prayful that something will show up prior to Tuesday. Guess what I am encouraging you, is to keep on going, no matter what 'trials and tribulations', you are experiencing at this bit moment. ASK and LET Him Guide you, one day at a time.

Am also looking forward to watching the Vision Channel tomorrow morning. ie. 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org); 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org); and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca). They and their ministries provide such wonderful inspiration; as well as being well regarded International Bible Teachers, who offer enlightening encouragement and solid insights.

Will keep you posted, when there is more to share.

To all of you, who are celebratiing the Thanksgiving Weekend, here is wishing you an 'extra special' one! We all have much to be Thankful for, and we are very appreciative for this meaningful weekend.

Peace and God Bless.

Total trust

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

If you wish a bittid of background, you can refer to some recent tidbit posts, as well ss yesterday's post, 'Overcoming obstacles'. We have some major hurdles that we are going through, and today is 'D Day'. We have been diligently working towards resolution; placing all our Faith, Hope, and Trust in Him (Christ) to provide a Solution.

As most of you know, these are tough times; and am sure a number of you have, or are aware of others who have had their share of challenges. In brief, we have seen better years; as this past year, starting with September 2008, has been a difficult one. We also know that He has Guided us through each and every day; that He has helped us 'overcome' obstacles. We are RELYING upon Him to do the same today.

These past few weeks have been full of Prayers, and it gets down to simply TRUSTING / ABIDING in Him to Provide Solution. Here is a tidbitz quote from yesterday's post, which sums it up.

"Christ has helped us 'overcome' all other past obstacles. He says, 'Fear Not, For I have Overcome the World'. We take stock and Faith in that magnificent message and therefore, would He do any less for us? He IS our 'Helper' to overcome. 'I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life.' We are in a 'waiting' mode; and we Know He has a Purpose, and a Good Plan for us, to suit His ultimate Purpose."

The last few days we thought there had been a viable choice; or so we were led to believe. Hmmmmm. We found out quite differently last night; in fact quite the opposite. Another let down - be it from further delay, ulterior motives, whatever. It has been a very interesting time, methinks. Enlightening ephifanies, comes immediately to my mind. We then went with our next and last option; and we will know in a short bittidz while, whether this will be or not be. We have Prayed to Him that He may touch this person's heart, who in turn can assist us, if he wishes. Actually, this would be the best, easiest, and simplest way! Clearly, "He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light" (and Life). Thus, we are waiting upon Him to Prevail; as we have surrendered and cast all our Burdens upon Him to be our 'Helper'.

When we received the devasting news last night, we humbly and numbly sat at our tiny round kitchen table; and throughout our dinner, we Prayed in earnst. Alan made up some prawns (from Costco), some rye toast, and believe it or not, that delicious but simple meal really hit the spot. Along with some of our tid cherry tomatoes from our garden, and a glass of ice water. A bit of 'food for thought' methinks.

Will keep you posted. All I can say (write) is to 'Keep on trekking'; and ALWAYS Trust in Him to Provide your needs. Eventhough, there are times, when things are not abundantly clear. With what we went through last night, we 'fell upon' yet another option; and it does appear to be the best of the lot! KNOW that He has a GOOD Plan for each and every one of us; as He LOVES us all unconditionally. Hope that is a tidbit of comfort and a bittid of uplift to all those who read my post.

Peace and God Bless.

Overcoming obstacles

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

The wonderful Hymn, 'Amazing Grace' keeps going through my mind. The words are so true! As I have mentioned in previous posts, we are simply leaving everything to Him to Provide our needs. He IS our Solace, our Refuge, and our Strength. Interestingly enough, I was momentarily 'Guided' to read Psalm 46 and verse 1 says: "God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble". These words are of extra 'special joy' to me; and another enlightening ephifany, that there are NO coincidences!

Christ has helped us 'overcome' all other past obstacles. He says, 'Fear Not, For I have Overcome the World'. We take stock and Faith in that magnificent message and therefore, would He do any less for us? He IS our 'Helper' to overcome. 'I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life.' We are in a 'waiting' mode; and we Know He has a Purpose, and a Good Plan for us, to suit His ultimate Purpose.

Thought I would share a quick bittid of an update. Will let you know when we know.

Tidbit - Genuinely Thank Him for your Blessings; even during the times of strife.

Bittid - 'Praise Him In ALL Things'.

This morning, when I was in a Prayer 'dialogue' with Him, the tidbit words, 'Be of Good Cheer', 'Rejoice', and KNOW THAT I AM THERE WITH YOU. That is the essence, methinks.

Hope your day is a good one. He wants us to just give Him TODAY. Not to fret about yesterday or to have 'angst' for tomorrow. Give Him the best of you, today.

Once again, I write the posts as a bittidz journal; as well as a tidbitz uplift of encouragement (me included), to all those who read my posts. We are anticipating a positive outcome of GOOD news.

Just realized that the time that this post is being published is at 12:34 pm. Makes me immediately think '1,2,3, 4 - who are we for?' My quick response is Him! Amen.

Peace and God Bless.

Trust and Abide in Him

Good Evening or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

We have had a bittidz of a hectic time; and yet we are doing our best to be upbeat! Regardless! We have surrendered all our Trust in Him (Christ), and we are patiently waiting upon Him to Provide our needs. Yesterday, was one of those days; whereby we did just that! The day before, we experienced many hurdles; and major unexpected challenges to boot.

Last night, I ended up going to bed extremely early; as everything had caught up with me. Plus, I kept 'hearing' the tidbit words, 'ABIDE IN ME'. We have had a very full day today; and it is just a simple bittid matter of calmly waiting for Him to Provide Solution.

Also, it is my Dad's birthday today; he would have been 91 years young. I know he is at peace; he was a 'special' human being; and I am thankful he was my Dad!

Should add, that I still am not able to access any photo 'upload images'; very weird. From what I have read, it may have to do more with 'internal' updates for the computer? Trust that these issues will be resolved sooner rather than later, by the 'powers at be'.

Also, here are some quoted passages from my October 7/08 post in remembrance of my Dad.

"The above photo image is of a 'Queen Elizabeth Rose'. For those of you, who like to garden, you may be familiar with this beautiful pink climbing rose! Perhaps you grow them and appreciate their beauty as well! We have two in our bittidz patio garden; one that I gave my Dad many years ago; and when we moved here 2 summers ago, we planted the second one alongside it. Should mention, that we transported our Q.E. Rose from our old home; and it is very 'happy' here. Both roses have 'merged' magnificently; and even as I type, we have a few tid new blooms on the bush; as well as having some Q.E. roses in an attractive vase on our dining room table. Plus, they have such a gorgeous fragrance! We also have a bright yellow climbing rose, which is thriving along the back fence; as well as colourful geraniums, in our pots and in our tidbitz balcony planter box.

Today would have been my Dad's 90th birthday, if he were still alive. He LOVED his roses; and he had a 'green thumb'. Gardening took his mind off many things. He was always 'calm' and 'slow to boil'; which are good qualities in a person, methinks. I did 'A Tribute to my Dad' in my post of April 30/07, if you wish to read for a bit of background; also a tid post on April 30/08. I have a cup of coffee in hand; and I am raising my mug and saying 'Absent Friends', and 'Happy Birthday Dad', and 'Thank both you and Mum for having adopted me'.

Interestingly enough, our government contacted me two weeks ago re: if I wished to locate my 'blood parents', as I am an 'adoptee'. Who knows if the 'blood mother' and 'blood father' (never married) are still alive etc? They would be about 78 / 79 yrs approx; inasmuch as I received prelim data about 'them' back in 1995; when I wished to know some medical / health data, as per my own children's medical / health history. Last week, I was sent the various 'forms' to fill out; and then a 'search' would be initiated, upon me completing and returning these 'forms'. I have put things 'on hold' for the time being; and if I were to follow through, who knows? My 'earth' parents, the ones that brought me up, through many trials and tribulations, (I am sure), ARE my parents, as I knew/ know them. However, maybe the natural parents have wondered about 'things?' I certainly do not want to cause any 'grief' or interfere with their lives; although perhaps 'they' might not feel that way; but then, they might. Hmmmmm. Anyway, we have our trials and tribulations happening as we speak, so I think for now, I will concentrate and focus on what lies before us; appreciating one day at a time."

Sorry I have not written a tid post as of late; we have had our bit 'noses to the grindstone'. Will fill you in on the tidbitz, when everything is resolved. That being said, we will be all the more 'thankful', during this upcoming Canadian Thanksgiving weekend!

Good Night and Peace.

God Bless.

Sunday 4 October 2009

A thankful heart

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Another beautiful 'Indian Summer' / Autumn day with all its magnificent colourful splendour!

We watched the Vision Channel this morning and once again, three illuminating programs - 'Hourofpower' - www.hourofpower; 'Enjoying Everyday Life' - www.joycemeyer.org; and 'Living Truth' - www.livingtruth.ca are full of insightful teachings of the Bible.

Early this morning, I had some quiet Prayer 'dialogue' with Him. Thanking Him again for all our Blessings; Thanking Him for His encouraging words / 'whispers' / thoughts, "REST in Me; for I AM within you". Plus Thanking Him for daily taking care of us; and that NO problems are ever too big for God to handle. Also some more bit tidbits of enlightenment came to me - "Be Calm, Be Cool, Be STEADFAST, Fear Not, Do Not Be Afraid, I am with you every step of the way; and I am Providing your needs. BE UP". I thought, 'Wow!'

'Hour of Power' is empowering, as Robert Schuller Snr shares his impactful and positive message about 'Living the FULL Life'. Also, Austin Gutwein, is an awesome encouragement to people of all ages. You are never too young to envision a dream and to be an ongoing fruition in His Service and helping others. Austin began his calling at age nine, and at fifteen, is changing many lives for the better.

'Enjoying Everyday Life' is also FULL of encouragement towards a 'new life', when you genuinely embrace Christ, as the centre of your life. Methinks, it is best to listen to / watch her broadcast; as she provides wonderful inspiration and educational resources to learn more about the Word of God, and to enjoy a personal relationship with Him. Ask Him to Guide you, and receive and use the 'gifts' He has Given you. It is so tempting at times, to choose the 'easy way out'; however, not to compromise integrity for a quick fix. The path might not be easy, but know that God has a Good Plan for you; because He LOVES YOU unconditionally; and, God IS LOVE. 'Forgiveness is the beginning of all healing; when you RECEIVE God's forgiveness.'

In my 'Morning Blessings!' October 3rd post, I mentioned about a 'decision' that Alan and I are pondering; and I quote: "We have been presented with a recent resolution; but it is not necessarily in our best interest; not even for the short term. Although, tempting. However, we have been Asking Him for His Guidance, Understanding, Power of Discernment, Clarity, Wisdom to help us make the 'right' and viable choice(s). We do have various tidbitz 'irons in the fire'; and more options will be revealed early week." This dovetailed with Joyce's message about not 'taking the easy way out'; NO coincidence here, folks! This is yet another ephifany for me!

Last but not least, 'Living Truth', with Charles Price, who gives Alan and I such a refreshing yet solid teaching. Best for those of you who wish to know more, tune into his website. Here is one of the tid bittids from today's message. "We surrender ourselves to the fullness of the Holy Spirit, not as an event but as a day by day by day relationship with Him and we find that no matter what you are facing, no matter what situation you are in, no matter what hardships you face, there will be a deep deep satisfaction". Charles shares that each day is a fresh new day; and when you are satisfied by God, you are a Blessing to others. Another ephifany!

Tidbit - Appreciate and Be Thankful for your Blessings, and enjoy one day at a time. 'Keep things simple', and make the best of it; as each day is like a FRESH NEW canvas.

Bittid - RELY upon Him to Guide your Daily Walk; as, 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life'. 'The Truth sets you free'.

Peace and God Bless.

Morning Blessings!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Yesterday was a full day and then some! We took to our bed early; and literally 'slept on things'. My Dad always counseled me to 'sleep on things'; particularly if one was not sure re: making a major decision.

Fortunately, we had a sound and solid (probably much needed!) sleep; and as per my Oct 1st post, 'Appreciating small Blessings!' the wonderful words, "REST in Me. for I AM within you" have really inspired and encouraged my spirits. To quote from that tid post: "Before I fell off to sleep later last night, I was in major Prayer 'dialogue' with Him. I kept hearing "REST in Me, for I AM within you." I thought, 'Wow!' Those magnificent 'words' were of / are a huge comfort and a reassuring refuge to me!"

This morning, I was up early; nice to enjoy the peace and the quiet of the early morning and our home. Plus, it is a gorgeous Autumn morning! I lit a fire, turned on our display cabinet lights (to appreciate all the more our Lady Head Vase Collection), and inhaled my morning elixir of coffee. I was taking a bittid reflective moment to have further Prayer 'dialogue' with Him; and I kept hearing the tidbit 'whisper', 'that eventhough we as humans, have our problems and challenges, nothing is too big for God, and that God is bigger than our problems'. That is such an awesome message, methinks!

We have thrown all our burdens upon Christ; which is what He wants us all to do! We have done our bittidz best; and at the same time, we TRUST that He has a wonderful Purpose and Plan for us. We agree full heartedly, that we must not Rely upon our own Understanding; but to have the absolute desire to simply turn everything over to Him to Resolve and Provide our needs.

We have been presented with a recent resolution; but it is not necessarily in our best interest; not even for the short term. Although, tempting. However, we have been Asking Him for His Guidance, Understanding, Power of Discernment, Clarity, Wisdom to help us make the 'right' and viable choice(s). We do have various tidbitz 'irons in the fire'; and more options will be revealed early week.

Took a bit photo this morning; and when our computer 'upload image' works again, I will display the cheery picture; as it depicts a warm and cosy atmosphere of our exquisite fireplace, as well as our beautiful purple orchids in abundant bloom. If you wish, you can refer to my September 2nd post, 'Beauty in bloom!'

Glad it is the weekend! Tomorrow morning, we will embrace the Vision Channel; and I look forward to experiencing some more enlightening ephifanies. There is always something to learn! The wonderful websites again, - www.hourofpower.org; www.joycemeyer.org; and www.livingtruth.ca. provide excellent Biblical teachings, as well as empowering encouragement; should any of you wish to be uplifted and have a greater understanding of Christ.

Here is wishing you a nice R & R Fall weekend. Hope you are feeling more upbeat after you have read today's post. Eventhough, Thanksgiving is right around the corner, we feel we all have many Blessings; and that each and every day is like a 'mini Thanksgiving!' 'Praise Him In All Things'.

Peace and God Bless.

Appreciating small Blessings!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

We are now home for the night; and we look forward to watching the hockey game; as well as enjoying Alan's delicious homemade soup. It is pouring with rain; so it is the perfect Fall night to stay cosy and warm indoors.

We have had our 'nose to the grindstone'; and the tidbitz 'irons in the fire' are starting to gain in momentum / fruition. We have left it all to Him (Christ) to handle; as we know we can not rely upon our own understanding. We have appreciated some wonderful Blessings; and I may share them with you, should we receive more bittidz news tomorrow. All I can say is, that He has been Guiding us towards a joyful Solution.

Before I fell off to sleep later last night, I was in major Prayer 'dialogue' with Him. I kept hearing "REST in Me, for I AM within you." I thought, 'Wow!' Those magnificent 'words' were of / are a huge comfort and a reassuring refuge to me!

Thus, throughout today, we have experienced some pretty awesome 'miracles' methinks; and we thankfully rejoice and jubilantly say 'Praise Him In ALL Things'. As I enthusiastically said to Alan, 'I never thought I would be thanking Him for these little things!' You can refer to my September 29th post of 'Better Blessings'. Charles Price of 'Living Truth' (www.livingtruth.ca) sums up 'trials and tribulations' in such an insightful way. "Thank you Charles"; as it has encouraged me all the tid more, to continue to flourish in my growth in Jesus Christ.

The hockey game will be starting in a bit. 'Go Canucks Go!' We are turning on the heat for the first time since last winter. It is a chilly 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside; and the damp cold of the coast tends to go right through one. We spent an hour (including the driving to and fro), at Costco; and now our kitchen larder is full again! Hurrah! Most of the items will 'stretch' and last us for about a month; and our calculator really helps us keep an eye on our expenses. My son may be coming over to watch the game and have a bite of dinner with us.

Here is wishing you a nice evening, and may Peace be with you.

Good Night and God Bless.
