Happy New Year!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Since I last wrote, the time has flown by; and it has been a relaxing few days! We have appreciated the 'R & R'. Our appointments have also been postponed to next week, due to the holiday season. However, we are getting together with an old friend of mine this morning (we 'ran into each other' earlier this week; have not seen each other for years); and interestingly enough, he happens to be someone, who may be able to help us with our endeavours! Also, we have a meeting set up with another individual early next week. We have been working on a few other options; and we have quite literally 'thrown everything upon Him' to Direct our Way, and to Provide us with Solution, as per His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan. We are joyfully and confidently Resting and Abiding in Him; as He IS our Refuge and Strength.

When we were 'out and about' this week, we were also at the Liquor store to buy some New Year's Eve's 'essentials'; and there was a 'sparkling wine' tasting, along with appealing appetizers (which were delicious!); and what a wonderful way to encourage a 'happy buying spree!' LOL! The Spanish champagne was on 'special' (it is our favourite 'champagne!') and so we were all the more appreciative for the 'PR' and tidbit price break. Plus, we 'ran into' an old friend of Alan's; and we have invited him and his wife over later next week.

This is only a short tid post; as I hope to be back a little bit later today. A good friend of ours, from out of town, may be coming to stay over and spend New Year's Eve / Day with us. Hence, we had to pick up some extra 'bubbly'. LOL!

Tidbit - There are No Coincidences.

Bittid - It is good to 'step back' and take time out. Also, if circumstances are a bittid overwhelming, leave it all to Him to work out for you. He has a GOOD Plan for each and every one of us; because He LOVES us all unconditionally. We just have to continue to have genuine HOPE, FAITH, and TRUST in Him.

Love the above photo image of 'Seek and Ye Shall Find'.

Here is also wishing you ahead of time, a Happy New Year; and may 2010 be the best year ever, for us all! Am sure it will be a much better year for most of us! We are looking forward to welcoming in the New Year!

Peace and God Bless.

A pink rose in December!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Eventhough, yesterday and today have been at a much slower pace; the hours still have managed to whirl by us! Yesterday morning, I slept in; and alas missed the 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller -; however, was able to appreciatively watch 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - Will share some tidbits in the next day or so.

However, to pick up what I missed from 'Hour of Power', I went online and was delighted to hear the guest speaker, Pastor Josh McDowell! As it happens, my husband Alan, has given away many of his books. ie. 'Evidence Demands a Verdict', to those who appear to be at crossroads in their lives and / or filled with queries concerning Faith. Josh was excellent; and I will gratefully listen to the rest of 'Hour of Power' in a bit. To help encourage those of you, who wish to further 'Seek and Ye Shall Find', here are some of the many insights shared by Pastor Josh McDowell.

"In the University I truly believed Christians had two brains: one that was lost and the other's who were out looking for it. I thought Christians were walking idiots. I met some and was challenged by them. I wanted to know what made a difference in their lives and they said Jesus Christ. I just laughed at them. Then they challenged me to intellectually examine what they said. After much persuasion, I did set out to prove them wrong, probably because I was ticked off.

So I set out to write my first book, Evidence That Demands a Verdict. It would be against Christianity. After going to five countries gathering evidence, I returned to London, England. As I sat in a small museum library, six thirty at night on a Friday, I leaned back in my chair and right in front of everyone, which was probably three people, I said, "It's true, it's true, it's true!"

That brought me, a number of months later on a Saturday night, to place my life in Christ the Savior and Lord. My life was literally changed upside down almost overnight. This is my fiftieth year in ministry, and I'm thankful for that. I think Dr. Schuller started ministry around the same time - when the Dead Sea was not even sick! But it's been a long haul."

Am going to return to the tale at the end of the Christmas dinner evening. If you wish, you can refer to my Dec 26th post, 'The BEST Christmas ever!' if you wish a few bittids. My son stayed on for another hour or so; and it was extra special to have enjoyed a fun visit with him. He thoughtfully, gave both myself and my daughter, the book 'Chicken Soup for the Soul - Celebrating Mothers & Daughters'; and there were a number of wonderful sayings he read to me. One of them is found in 'The Reluctant Rosebud'. ie. There is a quote by James M. Barrie and he says: 'God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December'. Interestingly enough, we have ONE pink rose in bloom in our tidbit garden! When you enlarge the photo, you will see the magnificent pink rose! What a Blessing, methinks! Last year, we were entrenched with heavy snowfall; quite the refreshing contrast this year!

We were out and about this afternoon; and ended up taking meals (nine full bags) to various 'Street People'; ie. The 'Homeless'. We fearlessly 'looked for them' and found them, in various bittid alleys and railway tracks. And wow! Alan and I are all the more Thankful for our Blessings and a roof over our heads! These people have not recently seen a meal; let alone a TLC 'Christmas care package' of food. 'Food, Glorious Food', keeps coming vividly to my mind! The movie musical, 'Oliver' was so illuminating! Our hearts and compassion went out to these 'Street People'. There was also one young woman (who was quite pretty), but her face was distorted horridly by drugs. However, we left her with food and a vest, that Alan had to put on for her. We are Prayful, the food will nuture her today; and that the vest will keep her warm during these cold winter days and nights.

Regardless of one's circumstances / challenges, always best to give and to uplift others! You feel so much better as a result; as you discover your problems are scarce. Particularly, compared to the harsh conditions of the 'Street People'; who are faced more with the reality of death, rather than in their striving struggles to survive.

Earlier in the day, I was soaking in our bath tub (for me, our bathroom is a quiet place for me to have a personal 'Prayer / Talk Dialogue' with Him); and before too long, I was 'Guided' to "Get up! Give away some of the jackets you do not use!". So, I gathered up six jackets (were also from my Mum and my Aunt; that I hoped to wear; but never did), along with a pair of winter boots that Alan does not need. Since, we were not able to locate any more of the 'Street People' today, (they had already 'disappeared' for the day); we have the clothing ready to give to the 'Union Gospel Mission'. Their awesome organization provides so much to so many!

Also, on our way home, we were Blessed with the amazing view of the majestic mountains; with the last rays of the afternoon sun radiating in full force upon them! That glorious sight will remain forever etched in my tid memory; as we would have not seen this glowing scene from our home.

Alan is presently creating up a storm with turkey leftovers in a huge cauldron of yummy turkey soup! It smells so good; and we will be savouring some of this for our dinner tonight! Our neighbours love Alan's homemade turkey soup; and there will be enough to 'spread the wealth'; or rather to 'spread the soup!' LOL!

Today most businesses and banks were closed; inasmuch as Christmas fell on a Friday. Tomorrow will be a full day; as we have appointments set up. My son will be coming over for Alan's turkey soup tomorrow evening.

Peace and God Bless.

The BEST Christmas ever!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! All of us, have so many tidbit Blessings and much to be Thankful for! I know it has been a few days since I last wrote; however, there have been many active moments. Even up to and including the 24th, we continued to work towards our tidbitz projects; to which we will return and revisit on the 28th. We are going to simply enjoy and appreciate each and every day; and whatever unfolds, unfolds! That is true for every day; however, all the more so, during this meaningful time of 'Tis the Season'.

We have appreciated the BEST bittidz Christmas ever! I, for one, have always loved Christmas! This year though, I had been thinking about not putting up too many Christmas decorations, if any. However, when my son surprised us with the Christmas tree (nine feet tall!); and also, both him and my daughter / her family were coming to our home on the 25th, everything was 'thrown into enthusiastic action'. Our house and table looked so festive last night; and everything has been majestically worth it!

Alan and I gave the three year old twin boys a hockey game (from Costco) and they were entranced with the game for most of the evening. So were parents and grandparents from time to time! LOL! The little ones enjoyed the (sherry size) crystal glasses we set for them for their 'gingerale wine' at dinner. I shared with them, that these glasses were / are 'special'; and that they (the grandsons) are very 'special' to us all. The little boys loved hearing those words of gentle yet TLC joyful encouragement; and they behaved accordingly! As in very well behaved! Inasmuch as they had been celebrating the buildup of Christmas events, and celebrating Christmas for the last few days with other family members.

There are two bittid pictures; of the 'Before and After'. In the 'Before' photo,(taken last night) perhaps you can spot the (sherry) glasses at the end of table. The 'After' was taken this afternoon; and, as you can see, there is room at the table to welcome whomever shows up!

My son contributed the dinner wine, and my daughter brought an appetizer and a pie (strawberry rhubarb). We supplied the rest! ie. the Turkey (21 pounds - think of all the glorious leftovers! "Food. Glorious Food!", which would include Alan's homemade turkey soup!). Plus, Alan's Scottish Oatmeal Stuffing and his special roast potatoes; my homemade gravy and cranberry sauce; along with brussel sprouts and candied carrots. Actually, the candied carrots were delicious; but did not turn out the best; as I had let them 'over caramelize'. Everyone agreed though, the taste was good; and I will make the bit recipe again; but with some tid changes. LOL!

Tidbit - Bury your hatchet; and clear up any bittid issues. Resolve positively to work things out - transparently and peacefully. Life is far too short; particularly when there is precious family and friends in the mix.

Bittid - Christmas is to celebrate Christ's Birth. At the same time, 'family, family, family' is where it is all tidbit at! Each and every family member is unique in their own way; each with their own 'special' gifts. Good to appreciate each and every family member; and to act with Grace. Love, and Genuine Goodwill towards each other.

We have had a relaxing Boxing Day thus far; and we are totally content to stay indoors and enjoy our quiet retreat, with a cosy fire in our hearth. It is a crisp sunny afternoon; and everything is all the more refreshingly beautiful on this wintery day! Our drains are still hugely clogged; so Alan has gone out to find some major 'super duper' draino of sorts, to masterfully handle the job. However, things could have been / be a lot worse. ie. We could be without water and / or food etc.

So, this Christmas has been an extra 'special' one for our family. I am sure, I am not alone when I write this; as methinks with the tumultous events of this past year, more and more people have been / are re evaluating what is close and dear to their hearts. 'Things' are nice; but do not 'cut it', where it matters most. Rather, it is how we all treat one another. "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you". Empowering and awesome message.

We are going into a New Year. Let us all work towards more harmonious relationships with one another; and enjoy more of a win / win rappoire with all whom we meet. Be it in 'our own back yard'; and / or around the world. 'Life is what you make of it'; and TRUST, 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light'.

Peace and God Bless.

Be calm in the waiting

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It has been a busy bittidz few days; especially just before Christmas! Monday and Tuesday flew by; and this day is half over! We have been working towards fruition of our endeavours; and there are still further delays. Now with the Christmas Season falling upon us, things will be 'on hold' til next week or early into the New Year. We have been given some other tidbitz options; and we will do our due diligence in exploring potential possibilities between now and then. We TRUST He has a GOOD Plan for us; and we are simply 'biding our time'; 'waiting upon Him'. We are RESTING and ABIDING in Him; and we will enjoy today, tomorrow, Christmas Day, and the whole nine yards! We have many daily Blessings to be thankful for; and we 'Praise Him In ALL Things!'

Made the shortbread cookies this past morning; was up early. They turned out not to be bite sized; as the cookie cutter I was relying upon, was not the greatest. So I utilized a tid glass instead; and the cookies came out wonderfully solid and large! Feels good to have those done; and our house smells so 'Christmassy' with the aroma of freshly baked shortbread, and fragrant scent of the fir Christmas tree!

We are looking forward to our Christmas Breakfast with my son on the 25th; as well as toasting Christ's special day, with some champagne and orange juice! In the evening, us three, plus my daughter, her husband, and our wee twin grandsons will be over for a Christmas dinner, that we are all contributing towards. Eventhough the economy has been less than stellar, methinks this will be the best and most meaningful family Christmas celebration ever! We are not giving gifts; save to our 3.6 year old grandchildren - a hockey game from Costco and we know that will be well received by all! LOL!

We are expecting a very good friend to visit us this afternoon; and he is welcome to stay on for a bit of dinner and spend the night, if he wishes. He has a four hour drive ahead of him; and it is through treacherous snow / black ice conditions.

We watched the Vision Channel on Sunday; and I will share a few tidbits from each of these three programs; however, I still believe, it is better for you, to tune in for yourselves, to receive the best encouragement and Biblical teachings. ie. 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller -; 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer -; and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - You may know of others, who you can 'Pay It Forward To'; by sharing the websites with them etc.

On 'Hour of Power', Guest Pastor, Max Lucado, gives a wonderful message on 'Why Are We Afraid?' (name of his new book; plus website is: I had some more ephifanies! ie. As Max shares, 'Fear takes away our joy'; basically 'Fear Less and Pray MORE.' Regardless of one's circumstances; that is a good tidbit to 'keep on trekking'. Through the tougher experiences, one becomes stronger, and all the more appreciative of Him.

On 'Enjoying Everyday Life', Joyce is sharing that 'do not be trapped in the past; you can not have HOPE for your past'. 'Watch for the rewards (even little ones) from Him. Be expectant and think in ABUNDANCE! ie 'Pay Day is coming!' (Say it out loud; you may feel a bittid better!) 'Move on - forward and trust that something GOOD is going to happen to me'.

On 'Living Truth', Charles is sharing about Christ, how He Came, with a Gift of Grace, to save us and to transform us. ie sinners. By the Indwelling of His Holy Spirit, He Guides us, Directs us, and Imparts Gifts to equip us, to continue to share the Message of the Good News! He LOVES us all unconditionally; and, He came at great price to offer us all Everlasting Life.

The picture is of our dear Blue, sitting quietly on our antique chair (embroidery done by my Norwegian Grandmother), who is thoughtfully gazing beyond the confines of our bedroom bay window. Alan and I are also being Reflective, appreciating the Calm, and being truly Thankful for all our Blessings, and Joyful for His Birth!

Hope these bittids are encouraging to all those who read this post. In the bittid meantime, here is wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

Peace and God Bless.

Christmas Cheer!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Skal! Just finishing a glass of South African red wine! Alan prepared a savoury meal of pork cutlets / shake and bake from Costco; more economic when you buy the packaged meats in bulk! We do the same with chicken pieces; and Alan always creates such delicious dinners!

Our dining room table is now draped in Christmas tablecloths of red and green. The red tablecloth belonged to my Norwegian grandparents; and the green tablecloth has been utilized by our family for many years. There will only be seven of us for Christmas dinner on the 25th; but I am glad to have started the table setting. Within the next few days, I will bake up some bittidz bite sized shortbread, which will be a scrumptious Christmas touch.

On Sunday morning, I watched the Vision Channel - fantastic; and I was Blessed with some more tidbits of 'ephifanies!' ie. 'Hour of Power','Enjoying Everyday Life', and 'Living Truth'. Their messages on HOPE etc were exactly what I needed to hear at the time! I will share some bittids before too long; however here are their websites again; as methinks you will find them genuinely encouraging and empowering. ie.;; and

We had a great time at our good friends' Christmas party last night. In fact, we were the last to leave! LOL! As we were 'leaving', our host asked us to stay on for a few more minutes - which went into another hour! As the expression goes: 'Time flies, when you are having a good time!' We reconnected with many old friends, as well as meeting some new faces. The food was awesome and 'old fashioned' Christmas merriment was had by all!

Apparently, our host's neck had been extremely painful throughout the entire day and evening; and when I touched the sore area, the ache immediately vanished! I was truly surprised; and yet, he assured me repeatedly, that my hands were 'warm, yet cool'. Interestingly enough, my fingers are even tingling at this tid moment, as I type! So, all I can say is that if that helped him a wee tidbitz, great; and I Thank Him! That was my first 'experience'; albeit Alan has told me, I have the 'gift of healing'.

We are still 'waiting' for word on our projects. The chap was going to meet with the other gentleman yesterday. That did not happen; so there are further delays; hence the meeting has been postponed to a later date. However, not going to let that bit disappointment cloud our hopes and / or take away our joy of celebrating the Christmas Season - Christ's Birth! We are truly hopeful, that He has something in the works; eventhough we do not know what it is; save that it is a GOOD PLAN, in Accordance with His Will and His Purpose. We give Him Thanks for our daily Blessings; and we 'Praise Him In ALL Things'.

Tonight, I received a beautiful phone message from a dear friend, who is in her mid nineties; and she is still with it! She had been thinking about me; and wanted to wish both Alan and I a Merry Christmas! As I did not reach the telephone in time, I called her immediately back. Glad I did; as she was going out for the evening with her daughter, who is a few years older than me. We are good friends as well. Alan and I look forward to sharing some Christmas Cheer and joyful Yuletide banter with our 90+ 'young at heart' friend, over the Christmas Season. She was not sure how much longer she would be around for. So I am all the more thankful I called her right back, as one just never knows. I reassured her, that her positive attitude, her wonderful sense of humour, and being daily genuinely Thankful, are what may contribute to her 'youthfulness'.

We are also looking forward to a good night's rest tonight; so as to be recharged for whatever unfolds tomorrow! We are expecting 'good things to happen!'

Love the above photo image, with its awesome message!

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

The morning after and a visit with our Lady Head Vase Collection

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Am thankful it is Saturday morning! It is a dismal day outdoors (relatively mild at 40 degrees Fahrenheit); and both Blue and I relished a refreshing walk; which helped to clear my sleepy head a bit. Alan is still fast asleep; his knee has been really sore these past few days; and methinks rest is best for him at this tid time.

Our friend's birthday party was held at a grand old heritage home; and you could feel and sense within its mahogany walls, that this magnificent historical house, had seen much, and had been a happy homestead to an old established family for generations. We arrived a tidbitz later than we had hoped; as our meeting (you can refer to yesterday's posts, if you wish a bittidz of background) flowed for a good hour and a half. The chap, a lovely guy, is intrigued by our endeavours; and we will be having a meeting with him and the other 'pooh bah', late Monday afternoon. It would appear that there is a deal in the works! As the expression goes; 'Where there's a will, there's a way!' Both Alan and I feel that God is definitely Guiding the WAY, as per His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan.

The party itself was a fun success with a close knit group of about 70 people - ie family members, close friends / neighbours! There was an open bar to begin with, and we all were given a 'drink ticket' for one 'free' beverage before the sumptuous buffet dinner. The setting was in the gorgeous conservatory; and with the beautiful Christmas decorations, several lit candles, and festive table centrepieces, the large airy room abounded with a special and lively 'glow' throughout the whole evening. Our table consisted of 'neighbours'; and we were, indeed, a 'motley neighbourly crew!' LOL! The buffet was to die for; and I heaped my plate full to the brim, and then some! Do not think I will be eating for a while! LOL! The wine that was served, was excellent as well. The family provided a wonderful movie on the life story of our 'young at heart' friend; and then there were speeches to honour her 80th birthday. There was even a couple (her best friend from childhood) who came out from Nantucket, Mass, to share her special day with her! They were very interesting as well; we enjoyed meeting them. Our friend does not believe she is 80! She does not look it; and, in her earlier days, she was a 'knockout!'. That is not to say that she is still good looking and youthful to this day! She is like one of Lady Head Vases - eternally young!

As a tidbit, would like to share a comforting passage from Psalm 143, verses 10 & 11 - "Teach me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God; Let Thy good Spirit lead me on level ground" (verse 10). "For the sake of Thy name, O Lord, revive me. In Thy righteousness bring my soul out of trouble." (verse 11). I 'fell' across those verses this morning; and thought 'Wow!'; given some recent obstacles, now ephifanies; that we have overcome and experienced in our daily walk in Him. Particularly with the recent tidbits unfolding.

Another bittid of 'good cheer' to me, is Job 42, verses 10 to 17. I have been 'led' to these last verses of the last chapter, several times. ie When I cheerfully seek and turn to the Bible, that page lterally opens right up to that particular spot! Always gives me goosebumps (in a good way). Those bittids provide a tid of encouragement too, methinks! Eventhough we still have some immediate challenges to overcome; we are leaving it ALL to Him to handle and 'to fret / fear not'.

Am appreciating a quiet leisurely Saturday morning, and am especially grateful for my elixir of coffee today! We are going to simply enjoy the full day! Living one day at a time! Tomorrow, will be the Vision Channel again in the morning; and in the evening we look forward to attending our good friends' annual Christmas party! Their house always exudes such warmth; and I feel as if it was yesterday, when we were at their sparkling Christmas party!

Here are some other pictures of our Lady Head Vase Collection for your tidbitz perusal. The December 13th post and other past posts also provide references. Some photos may be the same; and my apologies for a bit of the glare, seen from our mirrored cabinets. At least this gives you a bittidz of an idea of our collection, which we are offering for sale.

Alan is now up; so I had best go. We also have a few tid errands to do. Here is wishing you a nice Saturday and weekend.

Peace and God Bless.

Before and after!

Good Evening,

Am back for a tid moment! The above photos are also of our Christmas tree - before and after! The tree smells magnificent!

No sooner had I almost completed my earlier post, we received a phone call. It was from one of the major people we were recently referred to contact. He is coming over within the next short while to briefly meet with us, as well as picking up some extra info for our meeting on Monday afternoon, with another very key interested party. Both individuals are extremely enthused about our endeavours; and appreciate the quality vision of our long term plan of stability! We have met the chap before; so this is all to the good, methinks. They want to offer the assistance we need; and this would be an awesome win / win situation for all those participating in the project! We feel that God has a Hand in this; and thus, we are all the more elated with this wonderful bit of news! Will know more tonight and / or on Monday.

We dressed ahead of time for the evening; as after this get together, we will be going immediately out to the special party for our friend. It will be a fun and memorable celebration for her, we are sure! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Until later!

Peace and God Bless.

Hope is good!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Have not written a post since Dec 13th! It has been a full week and then some! Alan and I are persisting to do our best, to remain steadfast, stalwart, and to be of good sincere cheer! We are relying totally upon Him to Guide our path, as 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light.' We have 'all burners going', if you will; and something has got to show up! He says to 'fret not' for tomorrow; as tomorrow will be here soon enough and will take care of itself. Also, no sense drudging up what happened yesterday; and simply, He wants us all to our best and to give Him one day at a time. ie. TODAY!

We have been thankful to see our bed at night (we are grateful we have a bed, a roof, and food - many places in the world do not) and as we fall off to sleep, we Thank Him for all our Blessings. Regardless of your circumstances or obstacles, remember He says: 'Fear Not, For I have OVERCOME the world'; plus He created the Universe in six days! He also knows the number of hairs each of us have on our heads - throughout the whole world! Now is that awesome, or not!

Also some tidbits that keep coming to my mind and have been an encouraging uplift! ie. Robert Schuller (Jr) shares, 'When you are down to nothing, you know He is up to something - that is something good for you'. Also, Dr. Charles Stanley says, that 'when God is silent; He is working things through for you'. Also Dr. Robert Schuller expresses joyfully, that 'all things are possible with God; that nothing is impossible when God is in them' (or words to that effect). It is also the 'power of positive thinking'; and that when you are beseiged with 'negatives', focus ASAP on the positives AND upon Him! Do not let your dreams be stolen from you. Joyce Meyer has expressed those invigorating insights as well.

As some of you know, we really enjoy watching the Vision Channel on Sunday mornings. I have my elixir of coffee, Blue curled up beside me on the comfy sofa, and I embrace the ministerial teachings from 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller -; 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer -; and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - I mentioned that I would share a few of their enlightening bittids; and at times, I will happily do so! However, still best for you, to tune into them for expanding your own personal understanding and genuine growth in Him.

This week has been an agonizing 'arm wrestle' for us; as we have gone through many twisted valleys of 'ups and downs'. Eventhough, we have experienced several disappointments, let downs, adversities, some sadnesses, etc, we are going to endure, knowing He has a better plan for us. We personally do not understand why certain things are happening or not; yet, we Trust that He has everything in Hand, as per His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan. This is true for each and every one of us. So, if any of you are having your tough times or challenging moments, peacefully 'turn everything over to Him'; and 'keep on trekking' - with Hope, Faith, and Trust in Him, having the calm confidence, that He always Provides Solution. We believe God Answers All Prayers; in one way or another and all in HIS Time frame.

On a more upbeat note (best to always dream optimistic!), we are going to a dinner / birthday party for our dear neighbour and friend this evening. She is 80 years young; and, she is amazing! Eventhough, she is old enough to be my Mum; she is very 'young at heart!' May Alan and I be like her when we hit that magnificent age and stage! On Sunday evening, we have been invited to an annual Christmas party; so we are looking forward to that fun gathering, meeting with old and new friends.

Here are some tid pictures of our Christmas tree and our Blue! The first photo of Blue, is in our living room; and the other is in our den / family room. The Christmas tree is nice feet tall in our front foyer / hall! If you wish, you can refer to my recent December posts of 'Much to be thankful for!' and 'Bolstered spirits' for a bit of background!

Have to go to attend to some bittidz matters. Here is wishing you all a nice Friday / weekend; and I hope to be back soon with some tidbitz good news! Meanwhile, we are Abiding and Resting in Him. He IS our Refuge and Strength.

Peace and God Bless.

Lady Head Vase Collection and thoughtful reflections!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Where has the time evaporated? To 'play catch up', from the December 11th post, our good friend, indeed, came over for a quality visit, which ended up being five rapid hours! Alan's knee was bothering him; so he 'retired' just before 8:00 pm, and I had to turn into a 'party pooper' just before 10:00 pm to diplomatically suggest to our friend to go home! LOL!

Saturday found us doing a bittid of errands, as well as food shopping at Costco, in preparation for our Christmas family dinner. We also found a wonderful gift at Costco for our wee twin grandsons; and the price was appreciatively affordable.

As I write, Alan is bailing out the sinks; alas, the drain is still clogged. A bit of a bother, methinks. Earlier today, we went to our local Safeway and picked out a frozen 20 pound turkey on sale; and it is now in our freezer until pressed into service for the 25th December. We also went to the Dollar Store; and 'found' delightful party favours for the table. ie. Fun games.

Upon arriving home, we also discovered that one of our good friends and neighbours, has been diagnosed with cancer; she has her 'chemo' starting tomorrow. We feel just sick about it. She is not much older than we are. Alan and I may be experiencing our challenges with our endeavours, but this really makes one sit up and take tidbit notice for one's Blessings! I mentioned to her dear husband, that Alan and I will say Intercessary Prayers for them; as they are in our hearts, thoughts, and Prayers. He was very touched; and in a small way, I witnessed to him. Also shared with him, that a sense of humour, a positive attitude really helps; from what we have heard from others, who have had to face and survive the 'Big C'. We have offered to be of assistance in whatever capacity is needed. He told me that he will have a good task for us; to which I replied, "Okay, just let us know".

Earlier today, I watched the Vision Channel with my three favourite programs. ie. 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller -; 'Enjoying Everyday LIfe' (Joyce Meyer -; and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - They are empowering with their Biblical teachings and encouraging insights! For those of you who are curious, best to do your own due diligence, and check them out! Plus, you may know of others who are 'down and out' and / or 'hurting' etc, so these ministerial messages offer solid impactful knowledge, as well as wonderful resources! I will share a few tidbits / bittids from them within the next few days. However, I recommend that it is still best if you tune into them for your own empowerment and heartfelt clarity.

Am posting some tidbitz pictures that are of our Lady Head Vase Collection. We are selling them; as it is 'time to pass on the mantle' to other collectors for their enjoyment and benefit. We will 'keep' a few; but most of them will find new homes. As time goes on, I will post some more photos; so that the Ladies can be seen / displayed more clearly. Plus, in the New Year, I will be able to take better photos.

Hope you have enjoyed a nice weekend and a restful Sunday. Alan and I have a full bittidz week ahead of us; so this weekend has, indeed, been a reassuring refuge to us. We Seek our Refuge and Strength in Him. 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light'.

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

Much to be thankful for!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world1

Not too sure where to begin; I guess where I last left off, which was Monday, December 7th. As you can see, I have not written any posts til now. Eventhough we have been doing our best to bring our endeavours to fruition; there has been nothing concrete thus far. We have quite literally thrown everything upon Him, in accordance with His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan. We trust that He has a better Plan for us, then we know of; so we are doing our best to enjoy each and every day. We are truly grateful for all our daily Blessings!

During these past four days, we have found that some of the people we have been dealing with, 'say one thing. and do another'. In a way, perhaps it is 'separating the wheat from the chaff'. Our options have become simpler.

On a more positive note, my son came over on Tuesday (Dec 8th) to help us decorate the beautiful nine foot Christmas tree, he surprised us with on Saturday morning. You can refer to my Dec 7th post, 'Bolstered spirits!', if you wish a tid of background. The tree looks magnificent (we think so!); and it has been years since we have had a live Christmas tree, gracing our home! I will post some pictures before too long. On Thursday, December 10th, was our wedding anniversary; and the seven years have gone by so quickly! We appreciated our special day; and thanked Him for His 'Answer to Prayer'; that Alan and I met in June, 2002. Have written a bit of our story; if you would like to peruse (approx 10th of) June 2007, 2008, and 2009 posts for tidbit history. We believe that He will Step in, and Answer our current Prayers; since He has 'linked us together' and has helped us OVERCOME many challenges. We have been through many many hoops and this weekend, we are going to 'step back', and genuinely 'Praise Him In ALL Things'. He wants us all to continue to focus upon Him.

Within the next bittid while, my best friend is coming over with some 'bubbly', as a belated celebration of our anniversary. Have also spent the last few days decorating our house and it is now 'Christmasized!' I was not going to put many decorations out; however, was encouraged by our upcoming Christmas dinner with all my children! Plus, the Christmas tree really adds a wonderful sparkle!

Have not forgotten to share a few tidbits from 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer -, and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - We have been distracted by a few other bittids this past week; so my apologies for not getting to it. I still feel that for those truly interested in learning more, it is best, to seek out their enlightening websites and / or T.V. programs.

My friend just called; and we invited her to dinner (Shepherd's pie from Costco). She offered to bring a bottle of red wine; who am I to refuse! LOL!

Will keep you posted. Here is wishing you a nice Friday evening and weekend.

Peace and God Bless.

Bolstered spirits!

Good Morning, or whatever the best greeting is to you, in your part of the world!

Where have the tid days gone? Too quickly, methinks. We have been diligently working towards fruition of our endeavours. Our projects have taken a lot longer than we would have ever expected or envisioned. The worldwide financial debaucle of the past fifteen months, has been more of a hindrance, than a help. Am sure a lot of you, can relate; going through hoops, and then some! Timing too, plays such a huge part. We are now faced with making a major tidbitz decision; and that will depend on the progress made today and tomorrow. We have a couple of options in mind; but we are Asking Him to Guide our path, as 'He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the 'LIGHT'.

On Saturday morning, we received a surprise visit from my son. He brought over some cinnamon buns (wonderful with freshly brewed coffee!) and a nine foot high Christmas tree! Alan and I have never had a live tree; so this was extra special for us! The ONLY place for the tree, is in our front foyer, with the sixteen foot high skylights. Inasmuch as Alan had to rest his leg, my son moved our other plants (one now very large) to make room for this magnificent creation. My son will be coming over this week; and we three, will enjoy a festive evening of decorating the tree, listening to Christmas Carols, and perhaps having a sip of rum and egg nog. LOL!

We had some small plastic trees; which I ended up giving away to my children. As we had the 'Charlie Brown' artificial (but very real looking)good sized tree, that Alan 'found' in our garbage compound a few summers ago. Writing of plastic trees, yesterday, Alan 'found' another small one, perfect bittidz condition, as it was carefully preserved in a plastic bag! Amazing what people 'throw out'. Wow! We were at a friend's yesterday afternoon for her Christmas 'craft and bake sale'; and in support, we bought a few items. As it happens, the three tiny decorations will look great on our new found treasure.

Saturday night, we went out to a 'Wassail Party'; and apart from the refreshing appies / food, and 'bubbly', at no cost, it was a nice touch of appreciation for all of us who attended the event. Alan fortunately had a comfortable chair to retreat to; when his leg was sore. He is recovering well; walks with a cane; and will be seeing the physio today and the surgeon tomorrow.

Yesterday, I embraced the Vision Channel! Watched 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller -; 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer -; and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - The three programs are so enlightening and refreshing. Eventhough, this past week has been a tough one; my spirits were / are gratefully bolstered! Thank you to these illuminating ministries!

At the moment, I will share some tidbits from 'Hour of Power'. Art Linkletter was a guest on the show; and when he was asked in the interview by Dr. Schuller: "What's your secret of keeping going?" His gem response was: "And so you have to learn gradually through life that the tragedies and the opportunities are both coming, and if you live with faith, and you live with humor, and you live with curiosity, and you live with the idea that you're going to make the best of everything that happens, because that's what the Lord wants you to do." I like that positive response!

More bittids - 'No barrier is too great for God's power'; was delivered by Pastor Jason Frenn. ie. "Faith is your greatest asset in overcoming the barriers that keep you from moving forward. If you have enough guts to walk through that door, God will open the door. And when you act in accordance to what you believe, the hand of God moves". "Friend, I want to tell you, I don't know what it is that you're facing. I know that there are people who are facing financial difficulties, marital difficulties, physical difficulties. I know there are people having problems with their family and, as you go into the holiday, you're thinking, "Here we go again." I know there are people here who don't know where they're going to go to get their next meal. I know that some have no idea what tomorrow holds. But I do know one thing - that God loves you and he comes with power to set the captive free and he will work powerfully in your life because he loves you he sees you as the apple of his eye, and that's the truth. I wrote this book entitled "Breaking the Barriers." It's very near and dear to my heart and, if you're facing issues, I want to highly encourage you to get a copy of this book. As a matter of fact, if you're facing a lot of barriers you might want to pick up a case. It's a great way to start the new year. A great way to go forward and begin moving in the direction that you believe God has destined you to walk."

Truthfully, I was feeling a bit discouraged on the Sunday morning; yet these words from these wonderful people, were just what I needed to hear; and hence more empowering ephifanies! My suggestion for those of you going through some challenging times, check out their websites, for the inspirational teachings they impart. In the next post or so, I will joyfully share a tidbit re: 'Enjoying Everyday Life'; followed by 'Hour of Power', in later bittid post. God does ANSWER Prayers; and so far, it would appear, that Alan and I have received either a NO, or just a bunch of 'delays'. I TRUST that He has a better plan; and we have 'resigned' ourselves to HIS WILL. What will be, will be. A cliche perhaps. but true.

We are celebrating our Christmas dinner on the 25th; and all my children (includes our wee grandchildren; twin boys - age three) will be here! Fortunately, we have 'leafs' for our dining room table, so that will accomodate us all. Methinks, this will be the best Christmas ever; as we will all be together! My parents will be there 'in spirit'; and we will say a 'Skal to Absent Friends' in their memory. My parents used to put on awesome Christmas dinners; and thankfully, my children remember those fun times as well! My daughter has offered to bring an appetizer, a bumbleberry pie (or a strawberry rhubarb pie), some beer, wine, and / or champagne. We will supply some wine, the turkey, Alan's Scottish oatmeal stuffing, homemade cranberry sauce and gravy, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, and a yummy yam casserole (flavoured with Madeira). We will also be doing a Christmas morning breakfast; and methinks my son, who lives close by, will participate with us in that as well.

Have to go for now. May be back later today; if not tomorrow. I love the above photo image; with its powwerful message!

Peace and God Bless.

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Today's post will be a short one, methinks! As you may know (from past posts), I really enjoy watching the Vision Channel on Sunday mornings. ie. 'Hour of Power', 'Enjoying Everyday Life', 'Living Truth'. These T.V. programs are very special, and have helped me in my daily walk in Christ; hence growing in experiences and ephifanies.

Would like to quote from 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller -; some enlightening excerpts from Ken Duncan, a wonderfully reknown world photographer; and then some! Best if you check into his website as well, to do your own due bittidz diligence. He is a frequent guest on 'Hour of Power'; and his tidbitz teachings further encourage my journey in Christ. ie Answer to Prayer.

"You know hat God honors His word. Sometimes I've had conversations with God, saying, "Hello God! What's going on? I have this need and You said You're going to help me with it." And He always comes through. Always. Sometimes He may come through at five minutes to 12, but He always comes through".

"Now I want to encourage you out there, today, it doesn't matter what's going on in your life. Look, you only find out the reality of our faith when you face things, when you get out there and go". (Methinks from 'Gina's Tidbits', that is a for sure; inasmuch, as Alan and I have been / are stepping right into the fray).

"I'd like to end now with a prayer and encourage anybody out there. Life is tough. But you know what? Our Jesus is tougher than any circumstance that's going to come our way. And tough things are fantastic because that's where to find out how real Jesus is! And people see it. They say, "Man, what is it about you?" That's what gets them excited."

Our day has been another 'interesting' one; and we TRUST He has already put a GOOD Plan in place. That being said, we are enjoying today, and are all the more appreciative for our Blessings, He has given us. 'Praise Him In ALL Things'.

My son is popping over tonight; and Alan is creating his pizza, with green and red peppers, extra cheese (which is the best touch!), red onions, seasonings, etc. He has been moving about a bittid; and we are hopeful that Alan's knee operation has been a success; as, he has been resting and elevating his leg, as per doctor's (and mine! LOL!) orders for the last 6 days. We will know more next week when he sees the surgeon, as to his prognosis.

Will keep you posted. All I can say is that we are empowered with positive thoughts and have left it all to Him to 'Step in' and Resolve. Plus, the insights from Ken Duncan are illuminating; inasmuch as he has gone through his share of experiences in times of difficulty / challenging moments. As a tidbit, we have Ken's beautiful book, 'Where Jesus Walked'. that he did for 'Hour of Power'. This wondrous book literally graces our coffee table in our living room!

Love the above photo image of the Queen Elizabeth Pink Rose; we have two of them; and we are looking forward to the Spring, when they return in full bloom!

Good Night, Peace and God Bless.

Thankful for evening

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Our day was 'interesting'. Call it a 'waiting' period. We are anticipating good news; because we trust that He will Provide the Solution.

As it happens, the eluded errors caused by one individual, may yet be a 'silver lining' for Alan and I. As mentioned in the most recent tidbitz posts, Alan spoke with both key 'poohbas'; and they were totally 'agog' with the obvious ommisions. It is almost as if the person, abused the 'invested power' placed upon them. Thus, the info is inaccurate and invalid. To the bittidz point, whereby one of the 'poohbas' is very grateful that Alan is taking this person to task; as this individual is not someone they want to represent them in their industry. Pretty serious stuff, methinks.

There are No coincidences. Yesterday and today I had the occasion to speak with two men by the name of 'Jeremiah'. There is a wonderful Biblical Old Testament story associated with the young prophet, 'Jeremiah'; and I had the tid chance opportunity to talk with two people on the telephone, by that awesome name! This experience, further endorses that Alan and I are on the 'right track', methinks.

Tidbit - Thank Him for all it is worth! Regardless of your own situation; even if it appears to be a bit 'bleakish' at the moment. Be of 'Good Cheer' and 'Fear Not'; and place your complete TRUST in Him; joyfully and confidently KNOWING calmly, that He has the BEST Plan for you!

We are 'prepared to throw in the towel' in some regards; yet 'something' steadily keeps brewing within, saying 'NO, do NOT do that', hang in there' and, 'Wait Upon the Lord'. OKAY; will do. We understand that everything belongs to Him; so we have nothing to lose! FYI, thus far, He has ALWAYS Provided our Daily Bread.

Bittid - 'He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT'. I have ASKED HIM TO SHOW US THE WAY, AND TO BE OUR GUIDING LIGHT. It is amazing how much better one feels, when you give / throw 'everything' over to Him.

Eventhough, we have been infiltrated with some glaring deceits (people 'running' from being 'exposed' by their own 'words, actions, and deeds'), we are becoming better equipped in discernment and experiencing tidbit gems of 'ephifanies'. Lessons we are learning; some of which have been unpleasant. I am being 'diplomatic' here.

Keeping things bittid simple; not becoming overwhelmed; and FOCUSING upon Christ to Guide us, works best!

By the way, it looks as if the sink drains have finally become unclogged! Tomorrow morning will be the 'telling' signs. We did not have to use the 'recipe'. (If you wish, you can refer to November 28th post of 'Enjoying being home').

Here is wishing you a nice evening. Love the above photo image; that is Alan and I tonight; we will be thankful to see our bed! LOL!

Peace and God Bless.

Opening a new door!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of thw world!

Have not written til now; been a full tidbitz day! Am not sure what to say; save the TRUTH of it. We 'discovered' that the errors / ommisions made (please refer to the last few posts), have already done their bittidz damage. The person was clearly not accurate in the interpretation; and chose it to be of their own 'perogative'. Glad Alan was in touch with two major 'pooh bahs'; and they agreed with us, that the proper service was not given. So, we will be taking a firm stand against the injustice that we have recently encountered. When you genuinely know something is not right, do not be 'lukewarm'; because if one is, things never change.

We have been 'learning tidbit lessons' along the way. Even with a couple of people we 'trusted'. Hmmmmm. Maybe, we were just being 'too nice' and giving 'them' the benefit of the doubt. We are Praying (not babbling) that He shows us the Way; as 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light'. We believe that He has a better plan for us; as per His Will and His Purpose. The interesting bittid thing is, that we are feeling very calm and confident that He, does indeed, have a better plan for us. (That goes for each and every one of us!)

Tonight, we are going to 'sleep on things'; as we will be making a major choice tomorrow. We have been 'let down' (again - not complaining here; just an observation); and yet, I feel 'stronger' and more courageous within! 'If push comes to shove', I have no problem at all, on making a key tidbit decision. Alan and I have been more concerned about others; (which is good); BUT, but.....hello....So now it may be easier to simply proceed - in another direction, which has more positive implications. We have Asked Him for Guidance; and to 'Show us the Way'; and that if 'One door closes, another door shall open'. So be it, as that may be part of His Purpose! We are thankful we can 'sleep on things'; and depending on what does or does not occur tomorrow, we will make our minds up, forthwith.

Earlier I said 'The Lord's Prayer'; and we are grateful for 'Give us this day, our Daily Bread' - He did so! Eventhough, we have gone through some very trying bittid circumstances; we know that God ANSWERS ALL Prayers. Even if He Answers with a NO, or there are 'unexplained' delays (which we have experienced in abundance), I can now turn it around immediately thinking, "Thank You, Our Father, You have something FAR BETTER / GREATER in mind for us. We Trust you completely; so we will Abide and Rest in You. You have a wonderful Solution; and we know it will be Provided!" He wants us 'To dream big and come BOLDLY before Him!' We all 'grow (uniquely and at differnt times) in our walk with Him'; and through our various tidbitz experiences, we all gain a better understanding and appreciation of Him. I know, that Alan and I have certainly had a few 'eye openers'.

Alan and I are continuing on with 'GOOD CHEER'; and this is where, more than bittidz ever, one must remember to genuinely 'PRAISE HIM IN ALL THINGS!' We are thankful for our 'Daily Bread' today; as He Provided our meal - quite literally. Plus, we SKAL with a glass of red wine from South Africa!

Tidbit - Do NOT Give up! Simply turn all the more to Him, and THANK HIM! TRUST in Him completely.

Have been reading the Bible, listening and watching the Vision Channel; and methinks, that one just needs to have the 'unwavering Faith / Trust' in Him, that He Prevails and Provides; even if things take a tid longer! It is all in His time; not ours.

Bittid - Instead of being negative (when things appear to take longer to resolve etc), 'turn it around' to the 'power of positive thinking'. The best way to not let the devil gain a 'foot hold' or a 'strangle hold' on you, is to BE JOYFULLY STRONG, UPBEAT, knowing that HE (Christ) HAS ALREADY OVERCOME THE WORLD. FEAR NOT! With Him, ALL things ARE possible! ALWAYS!

'What you see is what you get.' As mentioned, there have been a few bit 'indicators' that have not been positive for us; so I am thinking: "Okay, He definitely has something much better in mind!" Thus, I / we are infilled with an enthusiastic hope, that perhaps, He is opening a new door!' I love the above enlightening photo image!

Peace and God Bless.

Take heart and have hope

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Today has been a really restful and refreshing tidbitz of a day. Was up early this morning, took Blue out for his walk, and then enjoyed my elixir of coffee, whilst I embraced the Vision Channel. The programs provide such empowering teachings. Hope to share a few bittids from them, within these next few days.

This afternoon, I appreciated a gentle fire; while I read the passages that the three International Bible Teachers imparted in their T.V. messages. A few of the verses really jumped out at me! ie. Philippians 4:13 - " I can do all things through Him who strengthens me" and, Colossians 3:16 - " Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you; with all wisdom: teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God". I like the word 'richly'; and, indeed, the Bible IS Truth. The Bible's quality teachings and life's lessons, are every bit as applicable today. I look forward to daily reading the Bible; to appreciatively learn more and more of The Word and Christ! 'He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT'.

I love the above photo image of 'Seek and Ye Shall Find'. Open your heart and invite Him in. Again, here are the three ministries, with their inspiring websites for you, to gain a better understanding and clarity of Jesus Christ and the Bible. ie. 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller -; 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer -; and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - Thank you to them, as well as to other ministries, who enlighten all those 'who seek'. ie. By giving of their solid insights, genuine encouragement, and helpful resources.

Alan had a relaxing rest today; inasmuch, we have a full week coming up. We are anticipating a positive outcome tomorrow or Tuesday. Will keep you posted, when we have more tidbits to share.

Hope you enjoyed a nice Sunday. We all have many awesome Blessings to be thankful for! Methinks we will be seeing our bed a tid sooner tonight; as we will be having an early bittidz start in the morning.

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

Enjoying being home

Good Evening,

It has been a very dark, dreary day and now a black night. I had to go out earlier this afternoon; and ended up buying a lotto ticket. As the tid expression goes: 'If you don't buy a ticket, you don't win'. Hmmmmm. Guess that is true enough.

Sad to say, our downstairs sinks are clogged? ie. The two kitchen sinks and our wee powder room sink for the last day or so. We have been utilizing 'Draino'; and hopefully, that will work out / cut the grease or whatever is emeshed in the pipes. Was able to find a 'recipe' for declogging sinks with grease (should have taken the name of the person who recommended that idea; and now I can not find the name to give him the credit!) We have not tried his 'recipe' as of yet; but it certainly makes sense to us; as we already have the stand by 'ingredients' at home. Apparently, baking soda, coca cola etc are also bit suggestions from other sources. Here is the 'recipe' to help unclog grease (ie bacon fat etc).

"Things You'll Need:
4-quart kettle
1 quart water
2 cups vinegar
1 cup salt
dish soap
2- to 4-cup measuring cup
rubber gloves

Step 1
Put on the rubber gloves and remove excess water from clogged sink with your measuring cup.

Step 2
Heat up water, vinegar and salt until it boils. Remove it from heating service and pour into clogged drain. The brine mixture breaks down oil and fats naturally. The process may take several minutes, depending on the amount of grease plugging your drain. If your sink is a double unit, running hot water from the tap down the other drain causes a suction that will aid the clog to come loose.

Step 3
Once clog is dissolved, run hot water from the tap combined with dish soap for about 2 minutes. This helps to remove any grease residue that may remain in the pipes, and leaves an acceptable scent from your drain."

Never did get a chance to light a tidbitz fire ( a 3 hour firelog) and curl up, as per my earlier post of today. However, am looking forward to appreciating the cosy fire setting / ambience tomorrow afternoon! Other bittidz matters surfaced; ie clogged drains. Will let you know, how that works out! LOL!

Also, we received the bittid ammendments / corrections this morning; so it is just a matter of having the info relayed to the appropriate party, digested, and then a tidbit response; Prayfully favourable! We are optimistic there will be a positive outcome! As I mentioned earlier, we are leaving everything up to Him; as it is all in in His Hands, in Accordance with His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan.

We hope too, there is a good movie(s) on tonight; as we are thankful to be home for the night; and not having to go out anywhere. Am sure some of you, can relate! Also, Alan continues to rest (he slept in til 12:15 pm today; the pain killers have been extremely soothing); so this is a good quiet night of restful respite. Love the above friendly photo image; it radiates such a welcoming warmth, methinks! Skal, with a glass of red wine! (South African!)

Here is wishing you a nice evening, Peace, and God Bless.

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Glad it is the weekend! (again! LOL!) Just returned from taking our Blue out for his morning constitution, in the pouring rain. Ran into a few neighbours along the way. Funny, I had been thinking about these two separate neighbours; so by seeing them was / is no coincidence! Our walk was that much more enjoyable, after chatting with them in the rain! Blue and I are now really appreciating our warm and dry abode; Blue having been fed his breakfast, and me, with my elixir of coffee! It is a perfect tidbitz day to stay indoors, 'Rest' (in Him), and reflect upon our Blessings, He has Given us. Alan is still sound asleep; however, rest is what is needed to encourage a strong recovery. Alan literally has to have his leg raised up on pillows; and thus, is quite limited for the next few days.

We 'jumped through some more hoops' on Thursday and Friday; and alas, more delays; due to bittidz errors and some ommisions created by the professional responsible. We have asked for the worthy ammendments; so things are still 'in limbo'. We are hopeful, however, that by Monday / Tuesday, our concerns will be put to right (or to 'rest').

We are just stepping back and taking some tid 'time out'. We are leaving it all to Him to work everything through, According to His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan. I know He has a good Plan for each and every one of us. Even this latest 'mix up', may prove to be a better Plan! Alan and I have a positive outlook; and hence, 'Praise Him In ALL Things'.

Tidbit - Best to just keep 'on trekking'; and never give up. Simply RELY upon Him to 'show you the way'; and while you wait for His Direction and Guidance, be of GOOD CHEER and enjoy each and every day, as it unfolds.

Bittid - There are 'reasons' for delays; and they may even be 'Blessings in disguise'. Plus, at the end of the day, when you give Him genuine Thanks for having made it through the day, you will enjoy a peaceful night's rest. He does not want us to be 'angst' or fret about tomorrow; and yesterday has already passed; so it is the PRESENT - ie. TODAY, that we must appreciatively focus on. Christ wants us to FOCUS upon Him, and to give Him our best, one day at at a time, on a day by day basis. Far less stress when you daily release all your Burdens upon Him, and let Him Provide you with the 'restful refuge' of Solution.

Hope this gives you some tidbits of encouragement. Also, am looking forward to watching the Vision Channel tomorrow morning; as they offer such wonderful insights and solid Biblical teachings. ie. 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller -; 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer -; and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - Will share some bittids from their uplifting programs; but methinks, it is better for you, to tune into them (and other ministries), for your own personal bit of clarity and understanding. Also, if you wish, you can refer to yesterday's tidbit post and / or some earlier posts, to give you a bittid of background.

Here is wishing you a nice 'R & R ' weekend. Am looking forward also, to lighting a fire and curling up with a good book. ie. The Bible! Plus, our Blueheeler, Blue, ('His Royal Highness', we xometimes refer to him as! LOL!) will be snuggling up beside me on the sofa as well. Yes, we let him up on the love seat; and he has his own pillow, that he happily lays his head upon.

The two photos (have been pictured in recent posts), are of our fireplace hearth, as well as Alan and our five year young 'pup'; whom we also call at times, 'Sir Blue'. LOL!

Peace and God Bless.

Tranquil and reflective moments

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Yesterday was a full day. Eventhough it would appear that Alan's surgery went well, he is in a great deal of pain; now that the freezing has worn off. His knee was very painful yesterday; even with the prescribed pain killers etc. However, he did manage to have his leg raised for most of the day; in between tid exercises that he has been suggested to do. Alan will be seeing the doctor next week; and then physio will begin shortly thereafter.

Other bit matters were attended to yesterday, to determine what takes place today and over the next few days. There have been more bittidz challenges; and one has to wonder whether, 'Is this all worth it?' However, we will know more in a short while; and then a major tidbitz decision will have to be made. We would like to think we will receive positive news; and then we will run with it! And then, yes, it will be all worth it! However, we do have other options to pursue, if need be.

Tidbit - When everything is 'overwhelming', just step back, take a deep breath, Thank Him for your Blessings, cast your burdens upon Him, and Ask Him to Guide your path, as 'He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT'. You do feel as if a huge weight has been lifted from your heart. Rest and Abide in Him.

Bittid - When things appear to be at a 'standstill', just 'wait' - patiently, with a calm confidence, knowing He has a better plan for you. Continue to hope, trust, and be of good thankful cheer!

Eventhough our Prayers have not been answered as quickly etc as we would like, we believe with all our heart, body, mind, and soul, that He has an even better Plan for us. It may be that all the hoops we have gone through (and there have been many), have prepared us for something far greater. Alan and I take stock in those tidbit thoughts, knowing He will Provide a Solution, According to His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan.

Before I got up this morning, I had a quiet 'Prayer Dialogue' with Him; 'Praised Him in All Things', and Asked for the Holy Spirit to indwell within Alan and I; and to use us, According to His Will. I also joyfully Asked with grateful anticipation, for good things to happen today! Again, all According to His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan. That last sentence, is a major ephifany to me; as it IS According to His Will, NOT ours.

Earlier, took our 'pup', Blue for his morning walk. It is cold and crisp (frost on the roof tops); but a beautiful clear day, nonetheless. It felt wonderfully good to breathe in the fresh air and a enjoy brisk walk; and now I am appreciating my elixir of coffee, as well as bringing you up to date a bittid. Alan is still in bed; best place for him at the tid moment. Methinks, 'rest' is best for him. My Dad used to say, that 'sleep is the best' way to encourage recovery and healing.

For those of you, who celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, hope you all had a gracious one. We treat each and every day, as a 'mini thanksgiving'; as there are many Blessings to be Thankful for!

The picture is from my November 3rd post, 'The Beauty of Prayer'. Am glad I took the fleeting moments to photograph the glorious foliage, as now our little tree is bare. Will keep you posted, when I have a bit more to share.

Peace and God Bless.

Surgery was successful!

Good Evening,

Yahoo! The surgery appears to have been successful; or at least that is what the top surgeon has said. I think I was in a 'worse state' than Alan. Even our Blue was despondent about his 'Dad'. LOL! After I dropped him off at the hospital (only patients allowed in the pre op centre), I was a bittid of a 'nervous wreck'. I knew the operation was going to work out; however, I felt a tid at loose ends. I ended up going to get a few groceries (soups, crackers, light food) and ran into a few friends. They were not feeling their best; and when I left them, they were in better spirits, mehopes. Then I came home; and it was as if I was being Guided to REST; so I did, gratefully.

Basically, Alan and I are in a 'waiting' mode re: our projects. So there was nothing more that could have been accomplished by me today; save 'resting and abiding in Him'. That to me, was also what the 'doctor ordered'; and I am glad I 'heeded' His tidbit advice. When I received the phone call from the hospital to pick Alan up, I was refreshed and optimistic! He does not require crutches; and he is able to limp about, even without the use of a cane. Mind you, the freezing is still in. Now, the tidbitz trick is, to make sure that he does not do too much, let alone, too soon. So, I feel as if I might have to be a bit of a 'sargent drill major', to enforce him to stay off his feet and to keep his foot propped up. LOL! A bittidz of exercise is good; but not too much for these next five to seven days.

We are going to enjoy some pea soup tonight; to me, pea soup hits the spot; particularly when one is weary or a tid run down. Just as well as the operation was today; as opposed to tomorrow; as this gives us the next two days to follow up with any loose ends. The other day, we went to Costco; so our larder is relatively full!

We have much to be thankful for! Glad now it is the evening and we can rest! Love the above photo image! Perhaps I am just a tid worn down; and the 'rest' will certainly be a wonderful respite. As I mentioned in today's earlier bit post, we seek Refuge and Strength in Him; and, we are leaving everything to Him to work out, in Accordance with His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan.

My son just popped in for a bittid visit (and a sandwich - made by Alan); he and I are both surprised at how well Alan is handling his post operative surgery. Once again, a bit of the freezing is still in; so it may be a different story later tonight and / or tomorrow. However, he is armed with some pain tidbit killers, if need be.

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

Rest in Him

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world.

The last two days have rapidly flown! We have been getting as much done as possible before Alan's surgery which is today. As I may have mentioned, the surgeon will do his best; but he will know more what is what, when he opens Alan up. Alan has been advised that the operation may be successful; however, if not, he will have to live with a constant chronic knee problem. Hope the well regarded surgeon is successful; as Alan, since the accident, has endured 27 months of major discomfort.

We have been directing our tidbitz efforts towards fruition of our projects by the end of this week, or early next week. We had hoped it would have all been achieved sooner; however, there have been further delays and some let downs. One avenue appears to be 'not on'; however, a 'door we thought shut', may open. In a tid, we have not left any 'stones unturned'. We have spent a great deal of time 'getting our ducts in order'; so that we are 'ready' to make a major decision, if need be.

As the expression goes: "It never rains, but it pours". Personally, I wish it was not all happening at once; inasmuch as Alan will be 'laid up' during everything else. However, with His Help and Guidance, there IS a Solution, According to His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan.

Will say, we have done our bittidz best; and now it is totally up to Him to Provide the rest. Maybe Alan's operation is a bit of a 'Blessing in disguise'. 'REST' may be an applicable word; as He IS our REFUGE and STRENGTH.

Tidbit - 'When one door closes, another door opens'.

Bittid - 'Seek and Ye Shall Find'. 'Rest in Him'; and be encouraged by ASKING Him for the Holy Spirit to GIVE you Understanding, Wisdom, Words of Wisdom, Discernment, Grace, the 'Fruits of the Spirit'; and to be used by Him for His use, The rest will unfold as per His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan.

Our Prayers appeared to have been answered - ie by 'delays'. Could even be a 'No'. ie A door closing; but then, there will be another door opening. We are not going to lose heart. Alan and I believe that He has a much better Plan than we even realize; so we will continue opptimistically forward, renewed with FAITH, HOPE, and TRUST; and to be full of GOOD CHEER. This is where we THANK Him for all our Blessings; and we genuinely "Praise Him In ALL Things". Plus, we 'cast all our burdens upon Him'. Am experiencing a calm and a confident expectation that something magnificently will unfold! Not sure when, but He has it all in hand. That is true for each and every one of us! We just have to have the courage to 'Wait Upon the Lord'.

It is pouring with rain and a miserable dark yucky day. However, I am extremely grateful for the rain today; as it is gently soothing and reviving my weary bittid spirits. Am also appreciating my 'elixir' of coffee; now into my second cup! Funnily enough, I have always needed my two cups of coffee; be it a small or large cup. Two is a major must! LOL!

We have already received a few tidbit phone calls, wishing Alan well today. Fortunately, we have a pair of crutches, which he will need to lean upon, when I pick him up. Methinks I am dropping him off at the hospital; only to return to pick him up at the end of the day. However, I will find out the procedure when I am there initially. There is a large parking lot; however, it is outrageously expensive. Many homes surround the hospital; so there is no nearby parking to be found; save for metered parking, several several blocks away.

Am Prayful that Alan's surgery will be a success; and am presently saying an Intercessary Prayer(s) for him in that regard. Love the above photo image!

Will keep you posted.

Peace and God Bless.

Generosity of Spirit!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Wow, is all I can say! Had a spectacular afternoon yesterday; went to a wonderful art exhibit and stayed for three hours! It was, indeed, a special time to be in touch with old friends, and meet new people. The artwork included unique lifelike animal sculptures, as well as elegant vases and lamps. We did not purchase anything yesterday; but we will do so, when the timing is better for us. My childhood chum was happy to see us; and he offered to be 'commissioned' to do up a piece for us. That is something we look forward to, at a later date; and again, when things are 'ship shape'; we will travel to their part of the world and pick up whatever artistic creation it will be. You can refer to yesterday's post, for a bittid of background. Both husband and wife have been Blessed with an awesome gift!

The warm home of our friends, is absoluting stunning and tastefully decorated; with beautiful dark woodwork / beams throughout the whole house! Exquisite contrasts of off white furniture, hardwood floors, rugs, etc. The windows and skylights provide magnificent unfettered views of both the ocean and the mountains. Their outstanding kitchen is the main gathering place; and from there, tidbitz appies and white wine were served.

One of the bittitz that caught my attention, was the small fully laden apple tree, springing right up outside their lofty kitchen window. I thought, Wow! What a treat; to see this little tree, bearing so much wondrous ripe fruit! And, at this time of year! 'Fruits of the Spirit', methinks. I believe that our friends are truly Blessed; and we are happy for them and their new cosy home! We were given the Blessing of just being included; amongst old family friends and genuinely connecting / reconnecting with others.

One of the people we met, is a mother, whose daughter, was a good friend of my daughter's, when they were in high school together. She and I agreed we would keep us and them in touch! We also met a gentleman who lives in Mexico; and Alan and I have been invited to stay with him and his wife. There are NO coincidences; and I discern, these kind people are all part of His awesome Mosaic! 'Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you'. Yesterday, was a day of a 'mini thanksgiving'; as well as a celebration to everyone's good fortune. ie. Generosity of Spirit!

This morning, I embraced the Vision Channel; and I truly appreciate all their insightful messages; hence more ephifanies! May share some bittids with you; but once again, best to direct yourselves to their websites, as they provide both enlightening encouragement and solid Biblical teachings. 'Seek and Ye Shall Find'. A few tidbits; which may touch your hearts, when you tune into them. ie. On 'Hour of Power', Dr. Schuller was empowering in his illuminating message re: 'Heroics in Faith', as well as inspiring 'positive emotions.' On 'Enjoying Everyday Life', Joyce emphatically shares - 'to not give up in the hard times; and to do things for the right reasons'. On 'Living Truth', Charles shares a wonderful explanation about motives and effective Prayer - ie 'Journey into the Heart of God.' The Lord's Prayer is the most powerful Prayer of all; as it addresses everything.

Here are their empowering sites again! 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller -; 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer -; and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price -

Tidbit - We have much to be Thankful for and we should treat each and every day as a genuine 'mini thanksgiving'; giving Him Thanks and sincere Praise all the while! (regardless of challenging circumstances).

Bittid - Be joyful for others and their Blessings!

Hope you do yourselves a tidbit favour (or others you know - 'Pay It Forward'), and really take an open look at these ministerial websites; or other sites you appreciate. Particularly, if you are discouraged, depressed, downtrodden, in despair, whatever. Even those of you, who are generally upbeat, there are always new ephifanies to experience; to learn and grow in your walk with Him! The Bible IS the best teaching; and these ministries help give us all a better understanding about Him. He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT (or LIFE).

Love the above photo image with its impactful and powerful message! 'Love Conquers All'.

Peace and God Bless.

Enjoy! Rain or shine!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

We are thankful it is the tid weekend! It is pouring with rain; and methinks best to stay indoors and not have to drive / go anywhere today! That being said, we will be going to some friends' home; as they are hosting an art exhibit 'Open House' for the full day. It is a husband and wife team, who are the artists; and the husband was a good childhood chum of mine. In the summers we would 'play' together (I was a bit of a 'tomboy' in those days); and it will be interesting to see him again, as it has been many many years. I won't say how many! LOL!

We received the gracious tidbitz invitation on Tuesday evening, when we were at the exploratory meeting (as per my bittid post of November 18th). We have been invited to this exciting event, for the last few years; however, we have not been able to attend. I am glad our friends have not given up on us! We are looking forward to getting together with old friends, and also to meeting some new people. Eventhough, we are not in a position to buy any of their artwork today, we will enjoy the gathering, as well as 'filing the info away' for 'future reference', as in acquiring one or some of their unique pieces, when we are able to do so. Methinks it is a better bittidz to attend, than not! It will be a learning experience; and we have been told, it is lots of fun! Good friends, good food, good wine, how can one miss!

Yesterday afternoon found us preparing for next week; as Alan goes into hospital for his operation mid week. As the tidbit expression goes: 'It never rains, but it pours'. We are thankful that finally Alan is having the surgery; as his knee has caused him utmost grief for 27 months. The surgeon is not sure if he can repair the badly torn miniscus etc; but he will at least be able to see 'what is what'. Alan has been told he will need to be off his feet for a week.

Therefore, we will enjoy today and tomorrow; and the rest of the week will take care of itself. Tomorrow, I look forward once again to the wonderful Vision Channel - 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller -; 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer -; and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - This past week has been on the go for us; and we have been distracted with our endeavours. I had hoped to share some tidbits from these three awesome ministries of last Sunday; and I still encourage you, that it is best to check them out for yourselves, to receive the best bittids! You can relate via your own experiences and ephifanies, methinks!

Must go now; but may be back later. It depends. If not, hope you are enjoying a nice R & R weekend. I love the above friendly photo image!

Peace and God Bless.

Be of 'good cheer!'

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

First of all, 'Happy Thanksgiving' could be our behaviour and attitude each and every day; as in being thankful for all our daily Blessings that He Gives us. Greeting and treating each day as if it is a 'mini thanksgiving!'. However, the actual American Thanksgiving Day is the fourth Thursday in November; for some reason, I thought it was the third Thursday.

Yesterday, just 'zoomed zoomed zoomed' by us; and we appreciatively fell into our bed last night! We overcame some challenges; and today and the next few days, we still have some more hurdles to work through. Alan and I have simply turned 'everything' over to Him; as He IS the best Overcomer of all!

We want to have as many bittidz things 'ship shape', before Alan has his knee surgery next week. Confirmation of verbal and written communication, is so important; as it could have been so easily 'missed' in some of the bittid details yesterday. Plus, Alan and I are a tidbitz weary; and it would have been our error, had we not spotted their error. 'Best to nip things in the bud', as the tidbit expression goes.

In the middle of the night, I received my 'second wind'. Apart from being in 'Prayer dialogue' with Him, I was 'Guided' to 'get up' out of our bed, to read certain ' directed' passages from the Bible.
ie. Isaiah 45 about how 'God uses Cyrus'. Prior to reading that chapter in full (verses 1 to 7), I had Asked Him to 'Use me, According to His Will'. This particular Bible belonged to Alan's Mum; so it is all the more special and dear to my heart. Also, a small piece of paper, 'happened to fall out' from one of the pages. On there, were her handwritten thoughts; and she was suggesting that one should read Isaiah 45:3. I thought, 'Wow!' To me, that is an enlightening ephifany; thus, I took further Comfort and Refuge in the message. No coincidences, here folks!

After I read this encouraging story, I was yet again 'led' to read what Paul writes in Philippians 4 - 'Think of Excellence', verses 1 - 9. ie. In verse 4 - 'Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice!' In verse 6 - 'Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God'. Also, more bittids to help you seek Solace in 'God's Provisions', as Paul illuminates in verses 10 - 23. The teachings in this chapter are further tidbits of endorsement!

The Bible remains to be the top seller of books in the world. If more people read the Bible and followed its teachings, there would be a greater level of Understanding, Civility, and Grace amongst fellow men. What is written in the Bible, is very applicable today!

Tidbit - 'Do unto others, as you would have them, do unto you'.

Bittid - Appreciate the tidbits of insights and lessons learned each day; knowing that He does Answer our Prayers; albeit not as quickly as we would like at times. 'He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT'. He always has your best interests at heart.

Took these pictures of our hearthside, and of Alan and 'pup' Blue last night; as they are also upbeat 'lights in my life!'

Have to go for now; however, wanted to share a few bittids of hope and encouragement with you.

Peace and God Bless.
