Enjoying a Saturday at home!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Am happy it is the weekend; rain and all! Yesterday was such a relaxing and quiet day; and I really appreciated the quietness of all those peaceful moments. The time went by so quickly; but then when you are participating in something you enjoy, that always helps! Right? ie My hobby is collecting Lady Head Vases, and nothing like 'spiffing' them up a bit with a good tid dusting; which was long overdue LOL! For those of you, who 'collect', you can appreciate the passion in the hunt for adding wonderful pieces! LOL!

With the global financial meltdown and subsequent domino effect, everthing appears to have taken a bittid of a beating. (that is a bit of an understatement). ie Equity in property has gone down, as well as other tidbit items. If you are a 'Seller', this may not be the best timing for you to sell; and yet, if you are a 'Buyer', this is most likely the best time for you to buy. Why? Because the prices have dropped so dramatically; and 'buyers' can 'swoop in and scoop' up tid bargains. I have understanding for 'both sides of the coin'; however, overall, I think a lot of us are 'cutting back' on our spending habits.

The Lady Head Vases were worth a fair chunk of change; however, now, methinks they like most items, have decreased in monetary value, for the time being. Note, I say monetary; as I full heartedly believe that 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. ie I LOVE our Head Vases; and appreciate their exquisite uniqueness ; and I 'collect' them, simply because I enjoy them!

Have also started to 'collect' Oyster plates; and in fact, have made a committment to 2 good dear friends, to invite them over for 'lunch', whereby I will serve them different oyster dishes, using our oyster plates and various oyster accessories! Am looking forward to that fun tidbitz 'event'; however, for the time being, we are 'watching our pennies'; like most people.

Have not added any more Head Vases or Oyster plates; primarily because of the current bittidz economics. Should write too, that there is no more space left! LOL! Nevetheless, I do always manage to 'find room for one more!' LOL! Am sure those of you, who are 'collectors', can appreciate that enthusiastic sentiment! 'I suppose' that if 'someone' came along and 'fell in love' with the whole Lady Head Vase collection (I might keep a tid few), and offered me a fair price, I might be tempted to pass the torch on to another avid collector! However, I know what I paid for them; some at lower prices, others at a premium; and yet, it all 'balances' out in the end.

Tidbit - 'You come into this world with nothing, and you leave with nothing'. So, if you happen to be 'Blessed' with material 'possessions', great. Although, it is what you do with them, whilst they are 'on loan' to you. Greed and avarice are not good; however, if you put Him FIRST, nothing is impossible! Enjoy the 'Fruits of the Spirit'; by simply remembering to genuinely Thank Him for ALL Blessings, that He Bestows upon you. I like that daily thought!

Bittid - Choose to EMBRACE each and everyday! 'Praise Him In ALL Things'. I love the above photo image with the grapes on the coffee mug!

May be back a bittid later; however, if not, then see you tomorrow with another tidbit or two! Am looking forward also to watching the Sunday Vision Channel again! Please feel free to refer to my recent posts for further encouraging info re: access to - 'Hour of Power' (the Schullers), 'Enjoying Everyday Life'(Joyce Meyer), and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price).

Tonight, we will savour a large pizza (a Costco Deluxe Delicio!); and by adding a few bits and tids of cheese, green peppers (from our garden!), & other seasonings, it will be a scrumptious meal! Plus a glass of red vino (South African, 'Two Oceans;), and we will be set for a nice evening at home! "Skal", at that time!

Should mention too, that we watched an excellent and inspirational movie last night - 'Escape to Victory' (Sylvester Stalone and Michael Caine). Am grateful we saw it; as it provided a noble tidbitz about the bittidz of 'character' of POW's during the Second World War.

Bye for now.

God Bless.
