Our 'Rocky'

Hi, It is now afternoon here!

We went to our appointment, and now it is just another matter of 'waiting' for the outcome; given the current world 'credit crunch' situation.

We have made the decision to not go to Pasley this upcoming weekend, for our Canadian Thanksgiving; eventhough it would have been great and a wonderful change of scene. Alan's leg is very sore (he does require surgery; sooner rather than later; methinks I made tid mention of that in a recent post); and with the cooler and damper Fall weather coming upon us, it may be better for him to stay put and be warm.

In the next little bittid, we will be going out to buy our turkey (the local supervalue has a 'Thanksgiving Special' on Frozen Grade A turkeys, cranberries (buy one and get one free), and other such festive delights. I love homemade cranberry sauce; so I am looking forward to preparing that tidbit treat! Yum yum. And then brussel sprouts, mini candied carrots (I have a delicious recipe for 'Candied Carrots' - Now, I just have to find it! LOL!) potatoes, gravy and stuffing (can not forget those key essentials!) AND, pumpkin pie with whipping cream, flavoured with a bit of vanilla and sprinkled sugar! The plan is to cook our Thanksgiving meal for Sunday dinner; and whomever shows up, is welcome; and we will enjoy 'leftover's' (they are the best!) for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday etc! Love turkey sandwiches with gravy and cranberry sauce! Mmmmmm! We even went and voted at the Advance Poll (our election is Oct 14th); thinking that had we gone to Pasley, we would have extended our stay a day or two longer.

Our adopted and lovable 'mutt','Rocky' ('Rockford' in full; he was 5 or 6 mos old when we took him in!) died four years ago today. Apparently, he was named after the 'Rockford Files'; a T.V. show I just loved; and interestingly enough our 'Rocky' had quite the 'T.V.' personality! LOL! The above is a picture of him (Rocky wanting turkey is the actual caption!). He was a wonderful 'puppy,' thought he was 'human', and was 12 years 'young' when he sadly passed away from cancer. My Dad's birthday is tomorrow; and cancer took him in the end as well. I will remember and honour my Dad in tomorrow's post.

Will be back in a later bittidz today, and will share some insights (Vision Channel), as mentioned in my tidbitz post of this morning. However, I feel it best if you check the Schullers, Joyce Meyer, and Charles Price out for yourselves, so you will receive their messages first hand.

Tidbit - Each day is like a 'Thanksgiving'. We have much to be Thankful for; even during these 'rocky' tough times.

Bittid - 'Praise Him In ALL Things'.

God Bless.
