Monday Reflections

Good Evening!

Our day has gone by very quickly! Am hoping to share tidbitz re: 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer) and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price) tomorrow. Once again, here are their wonderful websites to directly give you some knowledge and understanding. (www.joycemeyer.org & www.livingtruth.ca). If I can blog sooner, I will; just that we have a fair bittidz on our plate, now that the Christmas Season and New Year's festivities have returned to hibernation.

The neighbour, Alan (and 3 other men) were helping, finally was 'pushed' back into the underground parking facilities. Alan gently nudged him to the garage entrance, with our four wheel drive car. We have 'extra' empathy for this man and his family (I lost both of my parents to the 'Big C'; as did Alan with his Mum). 'David' and his wife went on a cruise some four to six weeks ago, and he has suddenly become very ill. He has lost 20 pounds; and it looks as if the 'Big C' or 'something' (the Norwalk?) is taking an invasive toll on his entire body. His dear wife, naturally is devasted! We have offered to 'be on call', if needed in any tidbit way; plus, their 'children' live in another province, a few thousand miles away; so we are 'here / there' for them in a bittid!

She asked us, if 'Would we mind floods?' She was referring to herself, as her face is full of sadness; and her tears are like a rushing river, full of gushing tormenting torrents. This tends to make us all re evaluate our problems and lives, don't you think? I gently shared with her about one of my best friends, who tragically and suddenly passed away two years ago (I wrote a post in tribute to her); and that she never 'opened up'; was like a 'tight drum', to maintain the 'status quo'. Most people thought "everything was 'fine'" with her; well alas, it wasn't! So methinks, this is 'good' for her, that she can share and be encouraged to 'talk' out her fears, sadnesses etc.

For Alan's kindness, his wife brought us a lovely bottle of George Deboeuf 2002 Merlot. It looks to be an enchanting bottle of red wine! She could not stay; however, she enjoyed seeing our Christmas decorations; inasmuch as her caring for her husband, there has been no time to put up, or enjoy any Christmas decorations.

It has become 'cold' again; and Alan has shovelled most of the walks / pathways for our neighbours, most of whom are elderly. We had to go out earlier; however, if one sticks to the 'main roads', driving is okay; it is when you 'venture' onto the uncleared 'side streets' that things become quite chaotic!

We have been experiencing our various tid challenges as well; however, we are of the firm belief that He WILL Provide Solution for us; all in Accordance with His Will and thus, in His Time. We are in need; no question - however, more important, is that we have 'surrendered' to Him, for His Purpose only. We must not rely on our own understanding. Charles Price, of 'Living Truth', touched on 'where your 'treasures' are going to be stored...ie on earth or in Heaven?' There are a lot of people who are primarily motivated by money, and / or a 'me me me' agenda; and they may find that their 'treasures' will be stored on earth. However, not too late to 'change' and accept Him genuinely into your hearts! We are Grateful for ALL our Blessings; and we are leaving everything up to Him! 'Good works' are nice and go a long way (ie when in accordance with Him! -great!); however,; the 'good works' standing alone, are not going to 'cut it'. It IS GENUINELY where your heart IS; and how well He knows our hearts!

Where we live, it is a 'nicely knit group', that all care and help one another. I noticed that more so this morning; when cars were stuck etc, as well as the incredible mounds of snow, which brings everyone closer together. And then too, our poor neighbour, who is having his grave difficulties. Life is very fragile and short; so we are all the more reflective; and He, is whom we Serve. Methinks, maybe I will keep up the Christmas decorations for a bittid longer; and 'whosoever' drops by, can enjoy some 'Christmas' ambience, a cosy fire, along with some warm hospitality, and happy cheer! Alan also gave 'David' a little tidbit of a book, 'More than a Carpenter' by Josh McDowell, to read; this may give him a bit of an uplift at this dismal stage.

Tidbit: 'Seek and Ye Shall Find'.

Bittid: 'Praise Him In ALL Things'.

The above bit photo is of our abode, with tiny tid 'Christmas outdoor lights'. It is hard to see; my apologies to you. The other picture (also taken last night), is the view of our neighbours, to our right, as well as the walkway / pathways, that Alan shovelled (again) this morning.

Good Night and God Bless. Peace be with us All.
