Here is to good neighbours and friendship!

Good Evening,

It ended up being a beautiful sunny day; cool and crisp, very icy conditions; but pleasant. It is now nightfall; however, it is a refreshing relief that the days are becoming longer. Mentioned earlier today, that snow is forecasted again, for tonight.

Our kind neighbour that I mentioned in today's earlier post, dropped by a tid while ago; returning our large size soup bowl and tray. She was able to enjoy 2 meals from the soup! We gave her back her gorgeous red poinsetta; and as it turns out, one of her daughters is coming over for a 'belated Christmas Dinner!' So, the poinsetta may give them both a bit of Christmas spirit and special uplift!

Our other neighbours (further afield; and only a few years older than us) are coming over this evening, at approx 7:30 / 8:00 pm ish. We left it to them to call us, when it would be best for them to pop in for a tidbitz visit during the Season. We look forward to seeing them and hearing about their Christmas etc! We will light a fire, as well as appreciating our plugged in glowing Christmas decorations. (ie. A wonderful large Santa, with a lighted candle in his moving hands, from Costco; perhaps some of you have the same dear Santa Claus, as well!). Our friends, are also bringing two bottles of wine; as per her words, 'need to be finished!' So, fine by me; as I am more of a wine enthusiast, than Alan, who appreciates his beer. He likes his beer; and I LOVE champagne (and wine); we have two different tastes; yet the combination works - beautifully! Alan just returned from picking up some beer; as our neighbour prefers beer as well. We were 'running low'; so this is all to the good; - 'beer larder' replenished! LOL! Fortunately our neighbours can just walk over; eventhough the path is frozen and slippery. Driving at the moment, is not the best plan anyway; ie black ice.

Tidbit - Appreciate each and every moment of each and every day! Things always work out for the best; including the 'best laid plans of mice and men!'

Bittid - Be thankful for good neighbours and a good friendship with them! Skal! Am enjoying a glass of sherry; which seems to taste extra delicious, during these Christmas festivities!

Do not have a tid photo of the 'Santa'; however, here is a picture of our 'Charlie Brown' Christmas tree, as well as other bit decorative items. If you would like, you can refer to my post of November 30/07 for a bit of tid background about this unique Charlie Brown Tree!

God Bless you ALL!
