Encouragement and FAITH

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

First of all, my apologies that I did not write a tidbit post yesterday. We were up and out early, and by 8:30 pm, we were grateful to see our bed! In a bittid, it was a great day! Had a major appointment yesterday morning and within the next few tid days, we Pray to be given 'the nod!' We then enjoyed a wonderful visit (and delicious lunch) with my daughter and our wee twin 2 year young grandsons. The bit time flew! After that, we returned home for a 3:00 pm appointment and that concluded shortly after 8:15 p.m. It was as 'if time stood still'. Will fill you in, when something of that interesting meeting, comes to eventual fruition! My home-made rustic 'ham and cheese grilled sandwiches', along with a glass (or two!) of South African red wine were a welcomed treat, whilst we 'brainstormed' on the script for our movie.

Tidbit - As the expression goes: 'Never put all your eggs in one basket'. Particularly these days, where there is 'chaos', confusion, fear, frozen credit markets, whatever, around the Globe. We are working on various options; and if we leave a 'legacy' at the end of the day; then perhaps our efforts will impact and benefit many.

Last night too, there was the hockey game on - Canucks and the New Jersey Devils. Somebody always has to come in first or 'second'. However, our Canucks have 'come in second' in the last number of games (six?). Both Alan and I, (we are not the only ones, am sure!) are totally surprised! Like what is going on here, folks? Is it dressing room problems, or have the Coaches been 'tuned out?' We really like and appreciate Alain Vigneault; and eventhough the Canucks have their injuries; we, as loyal fans, are perplexed with their lack of 'something?' Alan is suggesting (and he is an avid Canuck fan!) that the Canucks are currently an embarrasment and that they should not collect their pay cheques, if they keep playing like this. Well? Hmmmm. My thought is, that I will say an Intercessary Prayer for our ailing Canucks; and Pray that they will have a 'revival' of enthusiasm, and simply enjoy executing successful goals. I like that Alain Vigneault speaks up for his team and that he has faith in them!

Bittid - Very easy to put all the pressure on onself; thus 'overthinking'; and 'crippling' oneself instead. "KEEP IT SIMPLE!" Methinks, in my humble opinion, that the Canucks should ask Him to carry ALL their burdens and to 'Guide' them in their playing! They will be heartily included in one of my daily Prayers.

"Never Give Up, Never Back Down, Never Lose FAITH" is from the inspirational and true story of 'Facing the Giants'. 'Praise Him In ALL Things' was also what the courageous football team said each time before and after a game! If you wish, you can refer to my post. 'And FAITH is GOOD' of April 24/08 and to March 12/07 (about the Canucks). (I wrote my first post on January 22/07; where have all these months gone!!!).

Hope these are some helpful bittids of encouragement to all, who read today's post. Will be back with more tidbits later.

God Bless.
