Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!
We have a contrasting mix of turquoise skies, and dark grey clouds; and it feels as if it is going to snow any tid minute! It is like a 'romantic and almost melancholy' landscape; the temps are hovering between 32 to 36 degrees F; perfect conditions for snow! The mountains are all blacked and blocked in; no doubt fierce snowfalls / blizzards happening as I write! Glad to be home and that it is, as if a 'long weekend!'
Just received the bit weather forecast! Snow is hugely in the picture; things 'may' warm up early next week. Last night, we enjoyed leftovers of Alan's wonderful tidbitz turkey soup; and our 'poinsetta' neigbour is home again, after her Christmas visit with her family in another province. Also, Alan took her over a large bowl of soup, on a lovely floral tray; and she was delighted; inasmuch as her lardeur was rather bare! We have been Blessed to have her as a neighbour (she likes to water our flowers and plants, when we are not home during the warmer months - we do the same for her); and we have appreciated her beautiful large red poinsetta; which we will attempt to return to her, for her merriment and pleasure. (Wrote a post, 'Our Climbing Hydrangea!' of August 13/07; she is a 'hydrangea' fan).
Tidbit - Life is a 'two way street'. As the bittidz expression goes: 'The gate swings both ways'. Even nicer, when someone gives with a 'generosity of spirit'; and expects nothing in return. ie. Our kind neighbour.
Bittid - New Year Resolutions. Methinks if you make a 'promise' or a Resolution, then stick with it! If you know you may not totally honour it, then best not to set yourself up for a bittid fall! Instead, do your tidbit best to graciously and gratefully embrace each day! Regardless of what each day brings; appreciate living one day at a time - no more, no less! Keep it SIMPLE!
Thought I would re: post this ('The Art of Marriage about ss Major a Tidbit, as it gets!!!', March 3/07); methinks it can be applied to all of us; married or not; particularly during these tough times. Personally, we are thankful for 2008; and yet we are also glad to see the 'back end' of it! We, like most of us, are looking forward to 2009, being a much better year!
A good marriage must be created,
In marriage the little things are the big things...
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say "I love You" at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating
gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is not only marrying the right perrson,
IT IS BEING THE RIGHT PARTNER.
The above photo enlightens the post of December 31/08; and a smaller smidgeon photo of the same beautiful large plant was ahared in yesterday's post. Our neighbour may still wish us to keep it; however, whatever happens, we have really appreciated the majestic plant for the days that we had it grace our home!
Til a bit later.
God Bless.
