Uplifting thoughts

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It is a gorgeous sunny evening tonight; app 48 degrees Fahrenheit! Spring is definitely here!

We have had a full tidbitz day; three showings. One apparently went extremely well. This afternoon, I saw an old childhood chum of mine at the local shopping centre. I caught a glimpse of her last week; however, since we were short on time; I did not take the time to say a simple 'hi.' This time, I thought 'make the time.'

In her twenties 'Anne' was involved in a 'stampede' (in India) and she was trampled upon; and it is a miracle that she ever survived. She was so mathematically and athletically gifted; and sadly she has been deemed to receive lifelong medication to combat her challenges for the rest of her life. If one did not know her background, or have empathy, one would think she was an 'idiot.' It turns out that she is still a 'savant' (methinks); and she was very receptive when she saw me.

'Anne' was going on about the future (ie Revelation) and she made wonderfully good sense, believe it or not. We exchanged telephone numbers; and I do feel a huge compassion for her. She was also sharing that not many people communicate with her. That her Mum was doing great at her elderly age; and because of communication with her many many friends, the Mum has held and worn her age well.

'Anne' told me that when one does not have contact with the 'outside' world, one 'dies' within. She shared all these tidbits with me. I thought, she is NO idiot. Yes, she has her problems; but don't we all - in one way or another? Also, she enjoyed meeting Alan and she loved our Blueheeler pup, Blue.

Tidbit - Life is too short. If you see someone you know or you sense you can uplift, make the first step and put your best bittidz foot forward. Communication is so key.

After we said our goodbyes, guess what? Our car did not start...car batteries again. For whatever reason, every so often this happens to us. Once it happened on a ferry; not a fun experience!

Back to today, amazing how many people drove by and ignored us. Mind you, they were not driving in a direction where they could literally pull over. 'Anne' immediately limped over and offered to help (her heart is in the right place; eventhough, she does not have, let alone drive a car). No coincidence - but I saw someone who looked as if he would be a likely candidate to help; but he appeared to be in a hurry - perhaps for an appointment? Yet, a short time later, on his way out of the shopping centre, he came over and offered his assistance. Plus the parking spot we were in, had just been vacated as we drove into the shopping centre; so it was easily accessible.

Bittid - 'Do not judge a book by its covers.' My Dad always used to say that; very true.

Be thankful for any and all Blessings. For us, it was a Blessing to have made contact with my old 'scruffy' friend (sadly she looks much older than her age; long unkempt white hair, brown teeth etc - I think it is the illness, that happened as a result of being trampled upon in a crowd of thousands). Scary thought; tragic thing is, her family has kind of 'put her out to pasture' / 'unloaded' her. She lives in a 'boarding house' with five other ladies (they are all older); however, this has been 'home' to her. So, I guess that is good; and most likely where she is supposed to be.

If we were not so tapped ourselves, we would gladly provide a 'makeover' for her. However, this could be a future tidbit thought for us to do, when we stabilize. Two other Blessings, the parking spot and then the kind hand of help with recharging the batteries.

As mentioned in earlier posts, we receive 'Our Journey', the monthly booklet provided by Charles Price's international ministry 'Living Truth.' Alan and I read together this daily journal; and today's title was 'TRUST.' No coincidences, here folks! Matthew 6: 31-34 sums it up! ie. v:34 - "Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Basically Pray to Him to carry your burdens and then totally place your Trust in Him, in His Plan (Our Father Knows Best!) He has for you. As I said in the most recent post, 'and that is just fine with us.'

Alan and I have 'resigned' ourselves to His Will. Whatever He places before us, wherever, fine. We are facing the 'unknown' but that is fine. We are weary and fragile; however we will keep on trekking in Faith.

Writing of Faith, there was an article written in our local newspaper, that was rather critical of the April 8th newly released movie, 'Soul Surfer'. Well, I wrote to the media person who wrote it, suggesting that perhaps he should watch and listen to the short online interview between Pastor Sheila Schuller Coleman and Bethany Hamilton on 'Hour of Power.' And as a result, perhaps he may have a 'rethink' and hence more understanding. I was sadly disappointed by the negative aspersions he chose to cast upon a real life true story. I also quoted from Romans 8:28 - "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God; to those who are called according to His purpose.'

Anyway, I am glad I took a bit stand and I am hopeful that the individual will have a more genuine tid appreciation, re: the the impact / difference that Bethany is making throughout the world. You can refer to yesterday's post for bittids of info if you wish.

Am about to go outside on our bedroom balcony and enjoy the evening sun, while it is still bright and warm. The above photo, taken from our balcony, is of the forsythia in our bittid patio garden.

Peace and God Bless.
