Being Grateful!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Well, the Canucks played great last night; and it was good that they were able to establish their lead in the first period and they fended off the Blackhawks for the other two periods. It is best to score early and often!

Later last night, there was thunder and lightning. There was more thunder and lightning again this afternoon; and it felt as if the thunder was immediately above us; however, it was reassuring to know that we were 'grounded' by the tires of our car. Blue was even fine with all the loud noise; whereas our other dog, 'Rocky' would bark like crazy whenever he heard the roaring sound of thunder. Now, how further bizarre is this? It is presently snowing thickly and quickly; and some of it is even sticking!

To recap, on Alan's walk with our pup this morning, he 'found' us some more 'fallen' daffodils; and they provide such an uplift throughout our house; particularly with all the recent showings. We had a showing and an appraisal done earlier today; so my vacuuming and dusting, along with Alan's scubbing of the floors and cleaning of the bathrooms, puts our house into 'spiffy springlike shape.'

In one of my recent posts, I mentioned that we were / are tapped; 'on empty' (but not in spirit!). Eventhough this is our current set of circumstances; He has always somehow 'sustained' us; and today, He Helped us out again. We are joyful and appreciative; you would think we had won the lotto! (not quite; however, the received Blessing today helped put food on the table and a bit of gas in our tank!). ie. We had a few small tid items at a local consignment store; and they were purchased by someone who fell immediately 'in love' with them. We are happy that it was / is a win / win situation for the buyer, for the shop, and for us.

Tidbit - Trust in Him 100% completely to Provide Solution, even when things appear impossible and / or overwhelming. 'I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.' 'ALL things are Possible' with Our Father.

Reflecting upon the past several months, Alan and I have certainly been put 'through the ringer' and then some; however, we have literally surrendered to Him and 'cast all our cares' upon Him. Also as a further tidbitz, He does not give you any more burdens at any one time that you can carry. So hence, we have turned everything over to Him, including ALL our burdens.

We had a bittidz of news yesterday and at first I was dismayed; jumping to conclusions. However, I immediately turned those thoughts of 'worry' around and into a 'Thank You' to Him. I actually said, 'Thank You' outloud and I kept on Thanking Him. I felt instantly better! Also, He HATES inequities; so that is a solid comfort to us!

Bittid - No sense getting 'all hot and bothered' or 'pre worrying' about situations. Leave it ALL calmly and confidently to Him to Resolve. Also, to 'lament' over past problems does not help either; as the past is gone. Best to accept the present and have Hope and move positively forward. Trust and know that He has everything in Hand; and that He has a good plan for you.

Hope some of these tidbits give you some bittids of encouragement. We are grateful for today! Actually, each and every day, we 'Praise Him in ALL Things.'

The picture is of Blue, our Blue Heeler; he is actually smiling (sitting comfy on the couch). We are so grateful to have him as a cherished family member; am sure a number of you who have family pets, can relate!

Peace and God Bless.
