Food for thought!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Happy New Year's Day! Last night we had the option of opening up a bottle of champagne, but chose to enjoy it today instead. Alan made a wonderful Eggs Benny brunch; and we added a tid of orange juice (a nice healthy touch - LOL!) to the champagne! It was a great way of starting the New Year!

We have been blessed with another bittid day of brilliant sunshine; albeit very cold temperatures. However we are thankful that we do not live in other areas of the world, that are afflicted / ravaged by storms, earthquakes, disease, wars.

Read the suggested Bible passages earlier today (Genesis 1 to 3; and Matthew 1 & 2) and I plan to follow the Copeland's study plan for the daily Bible Reading; so that in a year's time, I will have read the Bible in its entirety. I hope to write daily tidbit posts mentioning the chapters read each day. Hopefully, this may encourage those of you, who also wish to know more and discover the Truth in the Bible.

As it is a 'holiday' (feels a bit like a Sunday); I will start in full gusto tomorrow on the Tony Gazelle Machine.

We are appreciative for today, another quiet day to reflect upon our Blessings.

We are amazed by the ever growing maze of deception, greed, avarice, and arrogance in this secular world. Particularly when the 'love of money' is ever present. Those who have a 'love of money', attempt to justify their position at the expense of others.

Sadly we have observed this characteristic (a prideful nature) when money becomes their 'god' or 'first place in their hearts.' We hope they will rethink (sooner rather than later) and choose genuinely to invite Christ into their hearts. When that happens, you change, as does your heart; and your new character comes from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

At the end of the day, God looks at your heart and if you have accepted Him as Your Lord and Saviour, you will have Heaven as your eternal address. If money, pride and arrogance rule your lives (even if you have done 'good works'), this will not cut it with Him. So best you Invite Him in. As I said, when you do that, everything else changes. Hence reading the Bible provides you with the Truth and it is just as true today, as it was 2000 years ago.

Happy New Year and may this be the best year yet for us all!

To quote from my Dec 29th post: "I love this photo image as it provides to me such a restful calm, a quiet comfort, and a peaceful refuge of inner strength. Again, INVITE Him IN. He is waiting!"

Peace and God Bless.
