Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!
We have had an interesting day thus far! Perhaps the tidbit of 'rest' yesterday, recharged our bittid batteries for today. Have managed to 'touch base' with a few key individuals; and there are more options open to us.
Last week, when I was reading various passages from the Bible, I was 'Guided' to Proverbs 19 - 'On Life and Conduct'. The page just fell open. The Chapter hit a heartfelt chord with me; and Verse 14, keeps resounding strongly within me! "House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord". For some reason, those tidbitz words, as well as the whole of Proverbs 19, gives me solid comfort. Quite literally, I have been meditating upon the specific words; ie. 'a prudent wife is from the Lord'. The word, 'prudent' takes on a whole different meaning to me; it is refreshing; as in 'making my heart sing'. Basically, Alan and I are looking to be prudent with our options.
In yesterday's bittidz post, I shared that we must not rely upon our own understandings; less disappointments. When we RELY upon Christ, He directs our path; in Accordance with His Will, His Purpose and Plan. We know and trust He has a GOOD PLAN; so we are following His Counsel, being 'prudent', hopeful, Prayful, and 'Waitful' for Him to Show us the way.
As Pastor Sheila Schuller Coleman (Hour of Power - www.hourofpower.org), expressed on Sunday morning, God turns 'upside down' plans, 'right side up'. Her message was just what the 'doctor ordered!' I thought 'no coincidence' here; another encouraging and enlightening 'ephifany', as in 'music to my ears'.
Joyce Meyer on 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (www.joycemeyer.org) shares how important it IS to have God in our lives; and that He wants to do things for us; but we must put Him First.
Both 'Hour of Power' and 'Enjoying Everyday Life' also interviewed wonderful guest speakers; who shared their illuminating stories.
From 'Living Truth' (www.livingtruth.ca), here is an excerpt from Charles Price, as he expands on the IMPACT on peoples' lives, when they meet Jesus. Charles gives such a good explanation, methinks it is better to quote his message, for easier understanding. ie. “Then Nathanael declared, 'Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.” John 1:49.
"Jesus finding people. People finding Jesus and those people finding other people who find Jesus. It's an ongoing process and is the only means by which God has entrusted His Gospel to spread, through ordinary men and women, boys and girls whose hearts respond to His direction. Andrew, along with another disciple of John the Baptist, heard John proclaim, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” Andrew found his brother, Simon, and brought Him to Jesus. Jesus left for Galilee and found Philip. “Follow Me,” He said, and then Philip found Nathanael and brought him to Jesus."
If you wish to learn more, best to tune into these ministerial websites (and / or other sites) to appreciate a greater understanding of Him.
Love the above photo image; very true. Believe it or not, we can see the sprouting green growth of daffodils in the surrounding gardens! Perhaps 'Spring is in the Air!'
Peace and God Bless.
