Celebrating New Year's Day!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

We are majestically embracing this first day of the New Year! January 1st, 2010! Skal, with a glass of champagne! (Segura Viudas; one of the top 10 Best Buys; according to 'Wine & Spirit Magazine, November 2009). Again, here is wishing you all a Happy New Year; and may 2010 be the best year yet for you! We, personally, are very grateful to see the back end of 2009! Am sure there are some of you, who can also readily relate! LOL! Not really a laughing matter; however, a sense of humour, indeed goes a long way! The 2009 tidbit 'ephifanies' we all experienced, will equip us that much better, to overcome bittid obstacles and to genuinely appreciate a more awesome 2010!

We had a successful meeting yesterday with my friend; and his parting words of calm were: 'Everything will be okay; everything will work out.' Interestingly enough, when I was in 'Prayer Dialogue' with Him earlier that morning, I 'heard' those exact words; plus, 'Do not be afraid'. Our friend suggested to 'leave it with him'; and that he would supply us with a few beneficial options to choose from, when we next meet, next week. He is upfront; and we appreciate his candour and expertise. I am thinking: 'There are NO coincidences'; when we 'ran into each other' at the local store. You can refer to my most recent post for a bit of background, if you wish.

We also have a meeting with an individual on Monday morning; as well as having other tid 'irons in the fire'; that we will be apprised of after this holiday weekend. Somewhere, somehow, things will work out! He, indeed, has a GOOD PLAN for each and every one of us! We just have to 'keep on trekking' and confidently endure with HOPE, FAITH, and TRUST, that He has everything in Hand.

Writing of being thankful of Blessings, it is pouring with rain this January 1st morning. Personally, I am glad for this rain, as last year, we had 4 to 5 feet of treacherous snow.

Will share with you a recipe to 'shake up your Segura'. Alan and I are not 'gin fans'; however am sure there could be 'creative' subsitutes, for the gin etc, if one prefers.

"Pomegranate Orange Punch!

1 bottle Segura Viudas Brut Reserve
6 oz Beefeater 24 (or other flavoured botanical gin)
Fresh mint leaves
5 orange wheels
1 16 oz bottle pomegranate juice
Fresh pomegranate seeds (garnish)

In a saucepan on medium heat, reduce the pomegranate juice to a thick syrup, approx 4 oz or 1/3 its original volume. Let cool. Pour the entire bottle of Segura Brut into a large pitcher or punch bowl filled with ice. Add the reduced juice, which will sink to the bottom of the bowl. Add the gin, layer orange wheels on top and spread mint leaves over oranges. The punch will remain clear until stirred.

For 'wow' factor, wait until serving to stir. Pour into punch glasses filled with ice. Sprinkle pomegranate seeds into each glass and enjoy!"

To the right, there is a photo image of a 'Baja Bird', taken by my cousin. What a beautiful bird; as well as a colourful way to welcome the New Year!

Tidbit - 'Less is best'. Getting right down to the simple basics; and just re evaluating and appreciating our Blessings; no matter how small, they may appear to us. Always, have an open and thankful Heart to Him!

Bittid - Negative news can be infectious; however, a positive, upbeat attitude is all the more wonderfully contagious!

I choose to follow the latter; to go for it; and to be optimistic and to totally Rely Upon Him; as 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light!'

A heartfelt 'Thank you', to all those of you, who read my posts. Hope you enjoy a restful and joyful New Year's Day; and for each and every day thereafter in 2010!

Peace and God Bless.
