Saturday afternoon reflections

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Here are finally some tids and bits from last Sunday's Vision Channel. Hope these bits and tids may be as illuminating to you; as they are to me!

On 'Hour of Power', last Sunday, a chap by the name of 'Nazareth' was a guest of Dr. Robert Schuller Sr. He is a very gifted comedian! I love his name and it is extra special at this time of year; also, to be able to enjoy laughter (regardless of everything else!) is good! Another guest was Roger Williams; who has the great gift of playing the piano; and then Ken Duncan from Australia, who is wonderfully gifted with taking beautiful international pictures. His photographs tie in so well with one of Dr. Schuller's most recent books, re: daily inspirations for the 365 days of the year. Ken Duncan also shared humour in his 'moose tale'; as well as giving a strong message on FAITH and to FEAR NOT. Suggest you take a look at the'Hour of Power's enlightening website.

On 'Enjoying Everyday Life', Joyce is teaching us to have empathy for our enemies; as they have been deluded by the evil one. Our responsibility is to, in His Name, show them of His Divine Grace, so that they can receive His Blessings in their lives. To have the power to forgive them. If we harbour resentment, anger, bitterness, you name it, there is a 'hindrance with God, because the heart is full of poison' (ie Satan). Act with Grace and forgive others. Why should He forgive you, if you do not forgive others? He teaches us to 'Judge lest, lest ye be judged'. In other words, we will be evaluated on how we treat each other, including our enemies. Joyce has a heartwarming story to share about her and her son, as well as other invaluable teachings. I recommend you check into her website; as there is much encouragement and insight.

On 'Living Truth', Charles was sharing his thoughts on the meaning of The 'Lord's Prayer'. Personally, I have often wondered about The 'Lord's Prayer'. Charles provides an awesome perspective; and for those of you, who are 'curious', tune into him as well, for understanding. Our Saviour instructed us to Pray to the Father thusly. This gives us permission to speak to the Father; as in the first line, 'OUR Father, Who art in Heaven'.

Tidbit - If you have been Blessed with a 'gift'; ie comedy, music, photography etc appreciate and enjoy giving to others; as they will be uplifted. For those of you who feel you do not have a gift, you do; just look for it! Invite Him genuinely into your heart; and it is amazing what transpires! I think too, during these very trying times, it is all the more vital that we turn to Him, to Guide us with LOVE, a forgiving heart, Grace, and simplicity.

Bittid - If you are 'down', think of plights worse than yours; and immediately, you will be all the more thankful for your own set of 'circumstances'. Things could be a whole lot worse; do not allow the enemy to take away your dreams. Instead, 'Praise Him In ALL Things' - always.

Might add, that we are 'stepping into the lion's den' tonight; whereby we are not amongst too many 'friends'. We are asking Him therefore, to Give us Empathy, Grace, Understanding, and to be Empowered to gently encourage and uplift all those we run into this evening. It will take courage on our part; however,'Generosity of Spirit' will Prevail we Pray! We hope that we can be used by Him to share His message to those in need.

Will be watching and listening to these three International Bible Teachers tomorrow morning on the Vision Channel. Perhaps some of you will savour their teachings as well. (You can refer to my earlier tidbitz posts; ie Nov 25th, Nov 18th, Nov 11th, Nov 4th, 2007 etc re: the Schullers, Joyce Meyer, and Charles Price for a bittidz of background. Also, my posts re: 'Armour of God', ie. Sept 25/08 etc).

Here is wishing you a calm and restful weekend.

God Bless.
