Monday morning Reflections

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

There were a few tidbit things I forgot to include in yesterday's post. When we were leaving the 'party' on Saturday evening, there was music playing and a few people were starting to dance! The song happened to be 'Mack the Knife'. Does that ring special memory bells for any of you? That song was my parent's favourite 'dance' theme; and whenever they heard it, they would drop everything and dance - wherever they were! (They were great dancers!).

Anyway, methinks this was NO bittid coincidence; so Alan and I also danced; and for a moment, in our 'whirling about' the dance floor, we forgot about everything else; save enjoying that wonderful 'catchy' tune. Music is good for the soul and the spirits; and dancing is healthy! Alan is a very good dancer; and this time, I did not lead! LOL! Eventhough, Alan is waiting to see the surgeon re: his knee operation, he was fortunate to 'dance around' things. Plus, the few glasses of freely offered champagne did not hurt! LOL! One of the bartenders was very kind to us; he gave us an extra glass; so all in all, it was a fun evening. It was exactly what was needed; and not just us; but everyone else appreciated the genuine good cheer! These tough times perhaps are drawing people closer together and there is more understanding for enjoying a simpler life etc.

This morning I am experiencing a total CALM; and I have just Prayed to Him in a tranquil and secluded spot. He asks us to pick a quiet place and to address Him thusly, as 'Our Father,' at the start of our Prayers. My refuge is our bathroom; with the high white ceilings, large skylight over the tub, and just the bright and airy openess of the location. I feel protected in there, from all the bittidz distractions of the outside world.

Methinks, after I wrote the tidbitz post yesterday, I 'let go'; and now everything is literally up to Him. We have the Faith, the Hope, the Trust, and the Belief that He Will Prevail. Also, I have compassion for those that were not able to give us a bit of a helping hand; that is why they still have their access to 'cash'; as 'Cash is king', nowadays. We unfortunately, (like most people) have been swept up in all this financial crisis / credit crunch; primarily due to the greed displayed by the CEO's of various financial companies / institutions in the United States, which in turn has caused repercussions and a 'domino effect' throughout the world. Anyway, I was more disappointed than angry; and realized that there is too much fear and too little trust these days. At any rate, have turned everything over to Him to Provide our needs. A thought too, is that there are still a lot more people in a far worse plight than ours; so we are just going to make the best of it; and RELY on Him for Solution for each and every day. 'Living one day at a time' as the expression goes. I actually feel 'strengthened'; in the sense that I have, with all my heart, released FEAR and anxiety to Him; as He says, "Fear Not, For I have Overcome the World".

On a more positive note, we ended up watching a heartwarming movie, 'The Christmas Card', last night; and it is very 'down to earth' and 'real'. You might enjoy the inspiration and warmth generating from that show.

Have a few tid things to do; and I believe our neighbours are dropping by tonight for a glass of wine (or two) and some hors'd'oeuvres (from Costco; just take out goodies from freezer and pop in oven; simple!). Our house is due for some vacuuming; Blue sheds hair like crazy; but then he is 95% Blue Heeler! He also has a bit of Australian sheep dog in him; so his hair is a little longer than most; however, he is a wonderful family member! We would not trade him for the world; he has it so good! LOL!

Bye for now. Hope this is of a tid encouragement to all those who read this bit post today. Love the above photo image! Cheers!

God Bless.
