The Sea to Sky Highway

Well, the day has come and gone! I guess that can happen when one has been away for a couple of days. Bits of tids of "things" pile up! And yet, at the same time, got a lot of tidbitty things accomplished!

Tidbit - There are times when you do not feel like doing the "boring" yucky tids of bits...however, if you apply an "attitude switch!" - ie, this has to be done; and may as well attack it today...It is amazing how good you feel when "that" task (I say task)has been started and / or ultimately completed! Maybe we should go away more often! LOL!

This photo is of the "Sea to Sky Highway" - the route to Whistler Mountain. It is an absolutely gorgeous drive; and it is so wonderful, to see all the work being prepped and beautified, to widen the road, to 4 lanes, for the 2010 Olympics. The famous Canadian artist, Tony Onley, often depicts these "blue misty isles" in water colours; and he has done many a scene along this breath taking highway.

We had a fabulous 2 day stay; Monday, walked about the Whistler village; then went on a Timeshare tour; not what we had planned for our afternoon; however "best laid plans of mice and men!" We were "nabbed" for 90 mins - we even said, we would not be "buyers" at this time. We were told, not a problem; we can give you a dinner certificate anyway; plus we get a $15 payment, for "steering" you there for the "presentation."

Tidbit - It always is nice to help someone out! Right? LOL! Look what happened to us! A lovely surprise! So, "unexpected" things can also be good!

And, it was a fun "adventure"; we had nothing to lose! It was an interesting experience; and we enjoyed our dinner at Hy's, all the more, with our $100.00 gift certificate! No complaints at our end! I gulped down raw oysters on the half shell; I think I was given an extra one! Also, there was a cute tiddy bit of a wine decanter; and I asked our outstanding waiter about acquiring one, if possible. He came back with one, that had a bit of a tid of a chip; and that made my night as well! We will just get the rim smoothed; and the decanter will be "as good as new!" It holds a 1 / 2 litre of wine. We also drank sooooooo much water; the Whistler Mountain water is just the best!

And then, it was time to go home again the next day...back to reality!

Tidbit - Taking a few tidbit of days tidded here and bitted there, is a positive R & R plan! It makes you appreciate everything, all that much more!
