The fruits of the Spirit!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

We have 'Hamish' back with us and he will be staying with us til Saturday morning. A cute wee little 'rug rat' with lots of personality. For a nine year young dog, he is like a 'pup.' He remembered us from before and literally jumped up and down for joy! His owners (Scottish) were amazed at his 'perkyness.' When Hamish was last here, Shadow was with us. They were a 'Mutt and Jeff' combo; and they got along well with each other.

A good friend who is going through his 'trials and tribulations,' did a recent random act of kindness to us. We were blown away; particularly, as he is experiencing tough times. However, he has 'been there, done that' and he is infilled with the Holy Spirit. He reads the Bible daily; and refers to the Book of James. Chapter One ('Testing Your Faith') verses 2 & 3. These are joyful bittids to one's ears!
Verse 2: - 'Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,'
Verse 3: - 'knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.'

To quote our friend: "I have been reading the book of James tonight and wanted to point out James chapter 1 verse two and three. It talks about how when we are under pressure our faith life is forced into the open and shows it's true colors. Wow! Is that ever true!
Sometimes it seems as if the trials just will never end, doesn't it though? All God wants is for us to turn loose of everything and focus on Him. I keep thinking of the parable of the rich young businessman who ran to Jesus asking how he could get into the kingdom. When Jesus told him to give all he had to the poor, The man knew He could not do that and so walked away. Look at what he walked away from in order to keep his stuff! He could have walked with Jesus and entered the kingdom of heaven, instead he chose the temporal things."

The whole chapter is full of encouraging tidbits! Of course, the Bible is an awesome testimony to the TRUTH.

Also, Galatians 5: verses 22 & 23 are uplifting. Again, the whole Chapter' Walk by the Spirit'
Verse 22: - 'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,'
Verse 23: - 'gentleness, self control; against such things there is no law.'

I write posts as a bit of a journal; but more importantly to uplift and encourage others.

That once you invite Christ into your heart, He never leaves you. The Holy Spirit lives within you, and you find that your life is transformed for evermore! When I write, I am 'guided and directed' by the Holy Spirit.

In tid closing, here is a comforting verse 9 from Galatians 6 - 'And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary.'

With all that is going on around the world, hang on to your Faith in Christ. He LOVES you! He IS our Advocate; and will always see us through the storms. Simply TRUST in Him! Cast all your cares upon Him; and He provides the rest! Like the photo image, Cast your net!'

Peace and God Bless.
