Being thankful for Blessings!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Well, it has been an interesting tidbitz of a time! Not ever a dull bittidz moment!

To recap, we are doing our best to retrench and to stabilize. We know thus far, that He has sustained us. We have been 'jumping through hoops' etc; but at the end of the day, we have much to be thankful for. We had a 'helping hand' yesterday. Am sure you know by now, that Alan and I 'live one day at a time' and we do our best with whatever shows up.

Also, my son brought over a Christmas tree and that sparked me to dig out all our Christmas decorations. I was only going to put a tid few out this year (given we have moved and the garage still looks like a 'disaster zone'). Well, one thing led to another and a good number of decorations are brightening up our dining room and living room! My son and his girlfriend came over last night and we had a joyful time in decorating the gorgeous tree. Alan cooked up his homemade version of pizza and we had 'rum and egg nogs.' Also, my son reconnected the stereo that he and his sister gave me several years ago. It works like a charm and it is wonderful to have music again in the house! I have been appreciating and listening to a radio station (103 - 5 FM) that apparently, play Christmas music 24/7.

Last night, when Alan and I fell happily into bed, I had a few more tidbit ephifanies. ie. Just being totally grateful, at peace with whatever daily unfolds, and being appreciative of genuine kindness. I asked Him to provide me with Blessings. Given that He wants us to be joyful, live a life in abundance, and to be of good hospitable cheer to others etc, in His Service, to be used by Him. It hit me that this time, I ASKED Him for Blessings and that I was Thanking Him (joyfully) in ADVANCE for these Blessings. I felt as if a huge burden had been lifted from my weary heart; which as of late, as been greatly saddened.

Went on to think that it is true, that 'The Truth sets you free' and to just 'keep on trekking' with honour, integrity, and truth etc.

Tidbit - 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.'

Bittid - Christmas can be a sad time. Family strife / divisions etc. Make the best of all things and be steadfast in your Faith and Truth. If you focus upon Him to Direct your path, He does. 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life.'

With a combination of events, my (and Alan's) Christmas spirit has been rejuvenated. ie. My son was very generous in bringing us a tree, and he extended other kindnesses as well.

We are going to enjoy this Christmas; more so, even than the past ones. We will go to Costco, pick out a turkey and appreciate all the other trimmings that go with a scrumptious Christmas dinner. My son too, will be coming over for a Christmas dinner; so that will be even all the more special to us.

We have been involved with other matters this week; and time will tell with those.
We are still in a bit of a 'waiting game'; however, we have received other Blessings along our journey! (Our Father knows what is best for each and every one of us!).

Interesting what has and is happening, methinks. We just have to keep 'hanging in there' in Trust and Faith in Him; and be genuinely thankful for all things. Plus, it is all the more necessary to uplift and touch the hearts of others; particularly those who are in worse straits than you or us.

Many Tidbit Blessings!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Hope you are all well. I truly appreciate the readers of my posts and I hope I am genuinely helping you (via the Holy Spirit) and others to have a hope and an uplift in your daily walk. I think giving genuine encouragement is tidbitz key; particularly in these very challenging bittidz times. Revelation is certainly happening!

One does not know the tid truth until they have quite literally 'stepped outside the box' and experienced various setbacks. For example, we have lost our business and our home. Yet, IN FATIH, we are steadfastedly moving forward to retrench and restablize. Have nothing to hide; and as is it said: "The Truth will set you free."

We have encountered those who have chosen to be vindictive, manipulative, and conniving. I will leave the thoughts to you, as to why 'whomever' choose to live in this manner. Sad bittid thing is, 'they' may think they can fool othes by their 'actions, words, and deeds' but, at the end of the day, they and they alone, will have to account for their treatment towards others etc. And, I am sure you know who 'they' have to answer to and Who has the last Word. Again, Revelation is majorily unfolding right before our very bit eyes. The Rapture is totally possible in our life time, and those who are left, well????? They will have a few things to ponder and think about.

Tidbit - It is not too late to turn to Christ and invite Him into your heart. Ask Him for His Help and for Him to Direct your Path. Even in asking Him to help with a hardened heart which is burdened down with resentment, bitterness, and anger etc. Simply Ask Him to take all the sadness' away etc.

Bittid - Forgive others and do not blame others (easier said than done, at times). Let it all go; and allow Him, in His Majesty to do His work for and within you and to touch others' hearts. He loves us all unconditionally; even with our warts, imperfections, failures, trespasses and all. It is NOT TOO LATE to accept Him into your hearts; hence your lives.

Anyway, this is going to be a different Christmas for Alan and I; because of the various 'trials and tribulations.' That being said, we will enjoy the Season and Celebrate the Birth of Christ. We have so much to be thankful for and we are grateful for our Blessings, in whatever way they show up! Somewhere, somehow, we will truly appreciate and enjoy a turkey with the full trimmings!

Should mention too, that today, we we won $50 on a 'scratchy' ticket we recently bought. It happens to be our Wedding Anniversay today; so this is an extra bittid of a boost! Eventhough, it is our ninth anniversary, it feels as if it is the first! Alan and I are very thankful that we were provided with 'An Answer to Prayer'. ie. We were given each other by Him! Money helps; however, it IS the heart that matters and counts the most; and He is keeping track of all that is going on. In ALL regards.

We are going to appreciate and embrace Christmas; and all we can say is 'Praise Him In All Things!' We also know that Christmas can be a very sad time for many; so our hearts go out to them.

A good foundation

Have not written a post for a bit and then presto, two in a tid row!

Want to add an addendum to yesterday's post ('Never tto late!' - December 5th).

When I went to Sunday School, I walked; but then it was in the daylight, not at night. There would be no way that I would have my young children walk at night; eventhough the distance to their Monday Night Church Club, was much shorter than the winding route I took.

Also, the program they attended was done in such a way that it was fun and my children looked forward to the Monday evening. I believe it helped my children; and gave them a positive start to their week. I wish I just knew more then. I am not lamenting, just saying the tidbit truth of it.

As mentioned, I used to go to Sunday school and as it happened, I really did not enjoy it. I decided one time (a beautiful sunny morning) that I would not go and I went over to my friend's house instead. Well, the minister of that particular church was not one of my favourite people. Put it that way. When I went back the following Sunday, he took it upon himself to ream me out in the church service in front of the whole congregation! I was only 8 years of age then. The custom was to go to the service first, then to attend Sunday School afterwards (makes sense, now that I think of it). However, the minister came down the aisle to where I was sitting and leaned over me and in a pious manner, asked me out loud, 'Why was I not in Sunday School the week before?' (or words to that effect). Well, I jumped up and said, "I will tell you why. Everytime I am here, you always are asking for money, money, money." You can imagine the expression and sour scowl on his face. Well, he got extremely annoyed / agitated and practically yelled at me, that he was going to tell my parents. I calmly added, 'Please do.' And, that was my last time there. I ran into him several years later and his comment was: 'I remember you" (and he was still pointing his gnarly finger at me); my response was: 'Yes, I remember you too."

So, I suppose I did not want my children to experience what I had experienced. That being said, I wish I had taken more of an active part in the Monday Night Church Club. Again, I was the only parent present for that dinner. Now that I think about it for a bittid, I asked the pastors: 'Where are the other parents?" The reply: "Oh, they never turn up."

So, it really wasn't until I met my second husband, Alan, that after his gentle Christian 'witness' to me, that I genuinely accepted Jesus into my heart. I am so thankful I met Alan; and apart from falling in love with him, I am forever appreciative. Over the years, I have embraced learning more about Christ etc. Apart from Alan, who has been like a daily 'teacher' / messenger, the ministerial programs on the Vision Channel, as well as reading the Bible, have all helped me in my Walk in Christ. Also, did you know, that the Bible has always been / is the best seller of all time?

Will also say (again, not a regret; because you grow and learn from mistakes) that having Faith and Trust in Him, really helps in the 'down times.' ie. Marriages, the way you treat others etc. When I am feeling discouraged etc, I just pick up the Bible and start to read it. I feel so much better! The Psalms are extra special to me. Small wonder God said that 'David is a man after My Own Heart.' Eventhough David had his various sins etc, he is one of my Biblical all time favourites.

I guess what I am trying to suggest is that it is not too late to invite Christ into your heart. Revelation is happening, and best you accept Him sooner rather than later; as it may be too late. Also, for all ages, young and old, just turn to Him and a 'door will be opened unto you.' He IS there, waiting at the Doorway, all you have to do, is invite Him in and He will never leave you. Knowing that, helps one through the rough patches and gives you an extra sinewy inner strength. Plus, Christ left the Holy Spirit in His Stead, so call upon the Holy Spirit too, and you will find that your lives will never be the same.

Tidbit: He wants a real relationship with you. Simply 'talk' (Prayer dialogue, whatever you are comfortable with) to Him. 'Seek' Him out. Proverbs 3:5:6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path."

Bittid: Again, young and old, open up your hearts to Him and let Him in. Know that He is your Advocate, your Saviour, your Deliverer, your Redeemer, your Helper etc. How about being your best friend, even? He helps you keep and steady the course.

11"And the (A)LORD will continually guide you,
And (B)satisfy your desire in scorched places,
And (C)give strength to your bones;
And you will be like a (D)watered garden,
And like a (E)spring of water whose waters do not fail.

Also, this verse too!

Matthew 6:26 (Amplified Bible)
"Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?
The enemy wants you to be fearful of tomorrow. So your main goal needs to be to enjoy the life Jesus died to give you today. Do what you can to live in righteousness, peace and joy, and trust Him to do the rest."

Hope these bittids give you an uplift and offer some tidbits of encouragement. I felt compelled to write this; as it comes straight from my heart. Hope it touches yours and / or others you know.

Again, I really appreciated watching the interview and the insights provided by Pastors Hagees and their wives, 'on building a good foundation.' ie Within the family etc. Truly, if I had been a member of their household, I would have hung on every single word, and would have enthusiastically enjoyed attending Sunday School etc! The ministerial programs offered on the Vision Channel provide a wonderful knowledge and encouragement to those who have questions about Faith, God, etc.

That being said, I am truly thankful for each and every day and its Blessings. We have much to be thankful for. 'Praise Him In ALL Things.' Also, when things are not as you wish etc, say 'THANK YOU' outloud to Him and keep saying it! You do or you will feel as if a huge weight has been lifted from your heart. By doing that, you automatically have cast all your cares upon Him. He Provides the rest.

Never too late!

It has been a tid of a while since I last wrote a post. I guess, suffice to write, that there has been a fair bit of 'trial and tribulation' that we have encountered along the way.

Alan and I have been doing our utmost best to 'put body and soul together.' given the past and even recent events. Today, it was yet another full day of 'trekking' in His Service. It has been and is an interesting daily journey in our Walk in Christ.

Hard to describe the tidbitz; save that we have to keep Trusting in Faith that He has a Purpose, and a Plan, in Accordance with His Will, and IN HIS TIME FRAME; and that He PREVAILS. We have been experiecing several delays and disappointments; but we are remaining STEADFAST in our Belief in Him that He Provides Solution. Indeed, He has SUSTAINED us thus far and Alan and I are so thankful! ie. We were given recently a wonderful miracle of 'provision' from Him; and we are still 'shining' in the afterglow of His Majestic help to us.

That further being said, the notch has been 'turned up all the more.' ie. GOOD vs. evil. There have been various 'strange' situations as of late, and it has been unbelievable (but not surprising either) about the bittidz disruptions, deceptions, and discouragement that we have seen.

Tidbit - When things are tough, keep turning to Him (Christ) to Direct your daily path. Ask, Seek, and Knock all the more!

Yesterday, I embraced a number of Spiritual progams on the Vision Channel. I say 'spiritual' rather than religious. All very enlightening, methinks. I was weary and totally enjoyed a 'day of rest.' I watched 'Hour of Power', 'Living Truth', and Pastor Barber in the morning and then in the evening, Dr. David Jeramiah, 'Amazing Facts', Pastors Hagee (father and son!), and Joyce Meyer (Enjoying Everyday Life). All were so insightful and refreshing! I was extra interested in hearing what the Pastors (the Hagees - good on all of them!) had to say about building good solid family foundations. ie. Parents / Children / Grandchildren. Truthfully, I may have failed with my children a bit in the spiritual regard; and I only wish I knew more what I sadly know now. (that may not necessarily be a whole tid much either, but my eyes have certainly been opened! WIDE).

Also, STRIFE (as Joyce Meyer was mentioning) is not the best. Today, Alan and I had some disconcerting news and we made a choice and that was to not wallow about re: STRIFE. (Good word, Joyce!) Rather, take strength and rise above it!

Bittid - Rise up above STRIFE etc. Instead, be JOYFUL and Fret not. Know and Trust that He has a good plan for you; that He loves you unconditionally!

I felt a bittid better when I heard both Pastors Hagees and their wives speaking that it is 'never too late' - even for the Grandparents etc. So, as a young 'grandma', I take solace, refuge, and strength in their empowering ministry. Thank you! I certainly am not complaining, however, I wish I had that info when I was growing up. (Well perhaps I did, and ignored it). Yet, I know my parents did their best and I am thankful. I thought though, I did the best too, for my children, particularly as a 'single' parent.

I remember also, that my children went to a Monday night 'Church Club', which had a 'fun dinner wrap up.' I thought I did my 'parental' duty by dropping them off and picking them up and thinking that this was a great and fun way of teaching for them! (I mean, my parents seldom went to Church on Sundays, and I walked several blocks; rather than being driven; and to boot, there were no 'fun' dinner wraps ups). Well, there was much more to this Monday night group, than I thought. ie. There was a particular 'dinner' to which all the parents were invited. Guess what? I was the ONLY parent who showed up! Can you believe that? During that 'gathering,' there was made mention of a special 'camp retreat' and I thought, 'Wow, where do I sign up?' Then I realized there was something 'more' to it. ie. Bible Study. At that time, I lacked 'understanding'; so did not appreciate the full value of what was actually being offered.

However, I took and take heart now in the Hagees' tidbit message. 'It is never too late.'

We are glad it is evening; as it was a long day. We have much to be thankful for; and 'Praise Him In ALL Things.'

Timing

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It has been a 'timing' issue for the last twelve days. Alan and I have been on the tidbitz go with various options and again, it would appear to be another 'waiting game.' The strange bittidz thing is (or maybe it is not peculiar), that I am feeling a sense of calm and peace. We know that Our Father has everything in Hand; and that it ia just a matter of 'timing.' - HIS TIME. He, as Our Father, He knows what is best for each and every one of us!

Have been reading daily passages from 'My Daily Journey with Christ', by Pastor Charles Price of 'Living Truth.' They have all been enlightening excerpts and I will quote a couple of them. ie. "People of Vision" - "Living in the will of God starts with finding a vision from heaven. David wrote, 'Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4). That doesn't mean He will give us everything we want, but that our desires, our goals, our ambitions, our purpose will be derived from delighting ourselves in God. He puts His desires into our hearts. Delighting in God unites our will with God's will."

The other one from 'My Daily Journey with Christ,' is "Live Confident of God's Will" - "The responsibility to be in the Will of God is not one He has given to us, rather it is one he has promised to undertake. The King James rendering of Proverbs 3:6 says, 'In all thy ways, acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.' Our task is to acknowledge Him - submit everything to His sovereignty - and His task is to direct our paths. I don't want to make this too simplistic for there are other factors in actually making a decision. However, instead of asking Him for guidance, try thanking Him in advance for it."

Before reading this message, I was Praying and asking Him to direct our path, as per His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan. This is most timely and gives me a solid uplift of both hope and encouragement.

We have been also fighting a 'flu' bug for the last few days; so we have not been feeling our best. We were totally thankful for the weekend; particularly Sunday, which was a wonderful day of complete rest. The body literally said, just rest me. I watched some of the ministries on the Vision Channel in the evening, and they were right on. Revelation is happening right before our very tid eyes and we all need to be 'ready.' Eventhough the flu bug has 'slowed us down', I take it as a time to ponder, to reflect, and to re evaluate. All I can keep saying, joyfully, is that we have much to be thankful for! Also, many appreciative thanks to the ministries out there, who give freely and tirelessly of their time to help 'spread the message of the Good News!'

In certain matters that Alan is working on, the chap has gone out of town for a bit. Well, that may be a 'Blessing in disguise', as we have had more time to think things through. We are wearing many hats presently; and methinks, this 'waiting' is for the best, as a better Solution is going to be Provided by Our Heavenly Father. As Psalm 46:10 says: "Be still and know that I am God." 'He is our Refuge and Strength.'

Tidbit - Anticipate success, WITH His help; and appreciate the waiting, but with confident expectation, that it will be in His Time. Enjoy the journey along the way.

Bittid - Be receptive to the Truth; as 'the Truth sets you free.' You can not fool Our Father; He KNOWS ALL (our thoughts, what we are about to say, do, or write etc). Because He loves each and every one of us, He wants a genuine daily relationship. If everything appears to be overwhelming, just turn everything over to Him, ttusting in Faith, that He Provides Resolution. Just be straight up with Him; even in the tough times and continue to be of good cheer.

A tidbit ephifany

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Am refering back to my October 30th post, 'Sharing and Caring' and will recap a conversation I had with an inspirational person on Saturday afternoon. There was one ephifany tidbit I forget to include, and will add the bittid comment afterwards.

"Yesterday when we were 'out and about', I was waiting in line at the bank. The gentleman in front of me started a conversation - basically about having 'patience' and that aren't we glad we have God to help us be 'patient?' I heartily replied in the affirmative; adding that I Pray many a time for Patience, as I do not like waiitng in line etc. Well, I honestly can not remember all the words we spoke back and forth; save that I felt I was given words to speak. I asked the man: 'What does he do in the Service of God?' (or words to that effect). He gave a very humble response that he is a minister, who should know better and is always learning etc. (I said I had much to learn!).

It was a very stimulating discussion. He also told me almost immediately that 'God loves me.' My response was that: 'He loves each and every one of us unconditionally. That we have been given CHOICE as to how we best live our lives. However, I choose to have my path directed by Him. Also, one can choose to be 'down in the dumps' or 'rise up' and make the best of it and work with 'change.' All in attitude and to keep on trekking in Faith etc.' (the words were just spilling out of my mouth; and the man was looking at me in amazement!). We talked about having a 'joyfulness', an uplifting spirit, and so forth. I even shared that I did not like going to Church (years ago); but that since I met my second husband, I changed my thinking, thanks to him. ie. That 'We are the Church, the Body of Christ.' As I mentioned, this man was almost in 'awe?' (I do not know if that was the right word; but perhaps refreshing is a better description?).

Anyway, after he finished his business, on his way out, he came over to me and wished me a good one! I replied 'Thank you! I will! And the same to you!' Personally I hope to run into him again. I sensed right off, that he was 'different', he stood out (I even mentioned about taking a stand and that even with the recent example of a plane crash / survivors. ie. What people did - did they all just stand and gawk and watch and do nothing? And that, good on the courageous few folk who stepped up to the plate, risked their lives, and took a stand to help). It also hit me afterwards, that I recognized his face, but can not place him. However, it was a 'shining moment' which was inspirational and empowering, I believe for us both."

To requote as I had mentioned, I asked the man: 'What does he do in the Service of God?' (or words to that effect). Well, the other tidbitz of it was, that I asked him if he was 'In His Service?' Then the rest of the conversation just took off and 'flowed' very naturally. Again, I think he may have been surprised by my bittidz questions; but I had discerned that he was very definitely different and stood out amongst the crowd. Also, I could sense he was not from here and eventhough his face looked most familiar, I could not place him? Perhaps I should have asked his name? Anyway, it was an ephifany type of experience for me, which I enjoyed.

Was up early, had a good tid helping of breakfast (1/2 grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs which I love, sesame seed crumpets & honey) and my much needed elixir of coffee. Now am getting on with matters that require a bit of attention.

Tidbit - Skipping out on breakfast is less than healthy. One needs breakfast to start the day off well, in all regards.

Bittid - 'Praise Him in ALL Things.' Ask Him to use you, in accordance with His Will, Purpose, and Plan. Trust and Rely upon Him to Direct your path and remembering also, to Thank Him for your Blessings along with trials and tribulations, experienced during the day.

Appreciation for the little things!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It has been a full few days. We just came in the door from Costco; love that shopping facility! Alan and I 'splurged' and treated ourselves to our Christmas present. ie. A Canucks comfy fleece navy blue jersey each! A tidbit, best to purchase a larger size to be on the safe side.

The Canucks are our home team! All teams experience their bittid ups and downs; however, we know the Canucks have what it takes to win the Stanley Cup this year. Regardless of unkind comments, public put downs etc, they will come through. In last year's Stanley Cup Finals, the Canucks had a number of injured players (Kessler, Edler, Mahorta, Erhoff, Raymond, as well as one 4 game supension to a player (Rome). That did not help in the 7th game. However, that being said, the team is recovering from their past injuries; so in a tidbitz nutshell: "Go Canucks Go!"

I think too, that every time the Canucks play, I will say a Prayer for their success! Eventhough we do not have the money to go to a game; we will enjoy cheering them on from our T.V. Of course, we will be wearing our cosy fleecy warm jerseys!

Also, Hallowe'en came and went. We had about 30 tid children trick or treaters that came by and it was refreshing to see that their parents came with them. Our little grandsons came by earlier in the afternoon with their Mum; and that was fun seeing them in their costumes. Fortunately, the weather for the evening was cooperative and the fireworks were at a mimimal - much to the relief of our pup, Blue.

We will be having an early bittidz start tomorrow; as there are a number of options that we are working on. In time, things will become more clear.

Tidbit - Rely on Him to direct your path daily, and give Him thanks for your Blessings! When you do that, you have a peace within; and a calmness and joyfulness radiates through to also touch others. They may be in need of a bit of 'generosity of spirit' / good cheer to brighten their day and outlook on their lives.

Bittid - Be genuinely appreciative of the little things! ie. Alan and I are happy with our Christmas gifts today! In Costco, you would think Christmas is already here; given all their wonderful savings, promotions, decorations, etc.

It is now a dark day outside and pouring with rain; methinks a good night to stay home and simply chill out. We also picked up from Costco some cooked prawns with a delicious chili dip, and that will be an extra special dinner tonight. Yum!
