Glad it is end of the day!

Hi,

Been a rather interesting full day! Being on the phone with our business', doing some banking, working with financial and legal professionals to sort things out for Alan's parents, and ultimately, our patio door blinds were just installed. So nice to see blinds finally covering our patio door windows! Eerie feeling; when all you would see, was cold window glass at night. This will help keep heat in; inasmuch, as it is a cooler time of year.

Tidbit - We just heard from my son, Arthur. That made my afternoon, as a mother. We are glad he is enjoying himself on his 10 day vacation! He will give us a tidbitz list of places / restaurants to check out, when we next return to our beloved Zihua.

Bittid - Life is so short; enjoy! The 2 recent memorial services we attended, really illuminated how fragile and precious life is; and also, just how quickly it can be gone; in a bittidz.

Am going to call it a day; as we have an early start tomorrow. LOVE the above photo image; nice peaceful end to the day!

Enjoy the glow of life!

We went to the "wake" this afternoon for about 60 mins; and we have been home now for a short bit.

Very sedate and somber scene; and of course, why would it not be? The woman who passed away, was only 47 years young approx. Very tragic accident. Apparently, it was written up in the paper; the newspaper we do not receive at our door. Also, who would think it? - that it was someone they knew of, as opposed to reading about a stranger.

It just goes to show you how fragile life is. Here one day, and gone the next.
We went on behalf of Alan's good friend; and I guess the group were starting to feel "no pain"; as it was a "BYOB". Alan and I did not know it was a BYOB; but we were offered and shared a tid glass of red wine, before we left. We really did not have a lot to say; save to exchange sympathetic and compassionate smiles.

We are now glad to be home; still slightly daylight; and a beautiful glowing early fall evening at that! Alan just poured me a glass of champagne; which is very much hitting the spot. Every once in awhile, I enjoy a glass of champagne; always a wonderful treat!

We are so looking forward to our upcoming vacation in Zihua! We have also been "keeping a watchful eye" on our 'waistlines'; so that we are both 'slim and trim'. LOL! I plan to be 'svelt' in my bikini!

Seek and Ye Shall Find

Well, the extra hour "Fall Back" is much appreciated today! It has been an awesome day! I watched the Vision Channel, (Channel 105) with Robert Schuler Jr(8:30 am), Joyce Meyer(9:30 am), and Charles Price (10:00 am). They all have excellent spiritual messages to offer. For those that do not go to Church, these T.V. programs on Sunday mornings, give you wonderful insight and strength.

Christ told us: "Seek, and ye shall find" - so very true. If you invite Him into your heart, and you are genuine, He will enter; and you WILL receive Salvation, and also, Knowledge, and the necessary Guidance you need. As He said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Light". As you take your "baby" steps, in what is called, 'your Walk in Christ', He WILL guide you and equip you moment by moment, and day by day.
Lest we forget: "For God (the Father) so Loved the World, that He gave His only Begotten Son, so that whosever, Believeth upon Him, shall have Everlasting Life in His Father's Kingdom".

And, with having just attended a major funeral / wake on Thursday; and then about to go a "wake" later this afternoon, and with Rememberance Day coming up on November 11th, there is a lot to be thankful for in our lives.

Jesus, died for us. He was sacrificed on the Cross, to pay the price of each of our individual sins and to atone for those sins, so that we could enter the Kingdom of His Father. Eventhough, He was sinless; the price was paid; "Once and for all", for all the sins of mankind. This justified the wrath of God; and, as Jesus said on the Cross, "It is finished".

Many people feel they are "not worthy"; and if they only took a tid of a moment to understand that He also, died for us ALL; and He wants to welcome you into His Family.

When you recognize this Truth, the burden, that has become an "albatross around your neck", will be released. Perhaps, an incident happened early in your life, and you have managed to keep things 'hidden' all these years. Well, if you Believe that He died to appease His Father, God; and we have been forgiven 'Once and for all', you no longer need to feel guilty or unworthy.

I hope this has been a bit of an encouragement. I know of people, even family members, that feel they are not worthy. Tragically, they have carried that weight on their hearts for so many years. They tend to blame others, dodge, whatever fits to keep their "status quo"; well, start with inviting Him into your hearts. It can begin with, but a single step - Prayer; ie as in " Jesus, Help me!" The 3 programs I referred to earlier, are good resources.

What I have blogged today, has all been a combination of 'tidbits' or 'bittids'. As He said, "Love one another, as I have Loved you". Very Powerfully True.

Freedom

A quick post before I "retire" for the night! Just watched the movie, "The Last King of Scotland". Very inciteful and provocative. Many many lives horrifically lost.

Tidbit - There has always been a heavy price to pay for Freedom. Appreciate what you have; and if your freedom is ever compromised, fight for it, with Honour and Truth.

"Rememberance Day" is November 11th; and this year wearing the Poppy, has even more special significance to me; given the increasing unrest in the world. Also remembering all those who gave of their lives in the name of Freedom. They took a courageous stand; fought bravely in the battle for Freedom; the Freedom, that we have been wonderfully blessed with, in our part of the world.

Bittid - Please remember to turn your clocks back one hour, re: Daylight Savings Time; that is, depending where you live. "Fall back" in the Fall; and "Spring forward" in the Spring, is what "they" say. Am looking so forward to the extra bittidz of sleep! Always, a tidbitz treat to me!

Upon reflection

Hi,

The funeral this past Thursday, feels so far away; as if many days have passed. I say that, because yesterday was a day, when I was in a 'bit of a funk'; and I experienced a fair tid of sadness. I thought about all the people that meant something to me, that are no longer with us, in this world. The service and the reception afterwards on Thursday, really illuminated to me, 'how short and precious life is'. And, that none of know when our number is up; so make the best of your life.

We have another "wake" to go tomorrow afternoon; in this case, we did not know the person who so tragically died; however, we are going on behalf of Alan's good friend. It was his friend's longtime girlfriend; whom we have only met a couple of times. I guess yesterday, lay claim to a full tidtitz of my emotions; and I just simply "vegged"; in front of a fire; a safe retreat from the cool fall weather.

Tidbit - When the body says "chill out"; give yourself a bittidz recharge rest, follow that refueling plan. You are not much good to others, if you are "worn down" with "battle" fatigue etc.

Bittid - It is good to reflect and give thanks for what we have; and at the same time, not to lament for too long over the past. ie deaths or whatever the sadness may be. Yes, genuinely remember those who have passed away; but think of them with gratitude and as a passing gift / or wonderful moments, shared with you, in your life. And, if you are fortunate enough to have the comfort and cheer of good friends and family, gathered around you, so much the better! If not, distress not; for life is too short to be sad or weary for too long.

"Praise Him in All Things"; even in sadness or despair. He is your Refuge; just reach out to Him.

A Grand Tribute to a Special Human Being

Hi,

Went to a funeral yesterday afternoon and did not return home, until later in the evening. The service was, "fantastic"; a weird description; to tid in the least. Our friend did not have an Eulogy; instead, it was a request for a "Sermon"; and I believe it touched the hearts of all those who were in grand attendance. The service was held in a beautiful big old church; and everything was done with style and grace. It really hits home the message that we are all very fragile, as human beings.

Our friend experienced both the heights and the depths of life; BUT, she always steadfastedly kept the FAITH in Him. She was a strong and courageous woman; just to mention a few of her many attributes.

She was a Christian Warrior in His Service. I knew she was always "feisty" and spoke her mind; although many critized her for her straighforwardness and astute and intelligent bluntness. Fortunately, I was in her "good" books! She was a "straight shooter"; and, if she did not like you, you knew it. A lot of people, I believe "misread" her; and isn't that so often the way? Particularly, if you are in His Walk. She has left a tremendous legacy; and yesterday's tribute to her was solid, without a doubt; and totally right on! Also, yesterday, was "All Saints Day"; rather interesting tidbit. The above photo image is the awesome Church; wherein the memorable memorial service was held, in Loving Gratitude for our friend's life. I am glad I had the honour to have known her, and that she touched my life so. And, that impactful message was driven home all the more yesterday; not just to me; but to all those who chose to listen.

We were invited to go back to the lovely old family home for a "wake"; and I think it may have well continued on to the wee bittid early hours of the am - today! Shades of the past, old friends, and enriched with colourful history, were all present; as in the "old guard", if you will. I felt right at home; because of the close association that our family had enjoyed with their family, for all these years.

Tidbit - Appreciate Life! Live it well!

The golden leaves of Fall

Hi!

Was up a tid early this am! Thought it best for Alan to have a bit of a rest; given the toxic reaction to a severe bite he 'received' on the weekend. You would think, how can one little ittzy bittzy spider or whatever, do such damage!

A confession. Left the kitchen in a total turmoil last night; so, it was beckoning to me this am. You feel so good when things are tidbitzy again; blinds are open, another new day etc! Most appreciative too, that we have an automatic dishwasher! Makes life a lot easier! Alan does more of the cooking; and I do most of the cleanup; and it works brilliantly!

Posting of 'brilliantly;, the sun was shining so vividly; that the fall leaves were a " yellow /gold" colour! Both Blue and I enjoyed our "wake up" walk! Love the above photo image of the "golden leaves!" It was Hallowe'en last night; without incident; or at least in our area. When I saw the golden glow of the leaves, I immediately envisioned wee leprachons; dancing with their "pots of gold".

Last night, about 3:20 am, there was a 'magnificent' sound of thunder; it felt as if it lasted for a couple of minutes! It was literally, right above us; so there was an extra loud boom in the air! Our 'puppy' was a bit frightened by the sudden noise and the shuddering vibrations. Ten tid minutes later, the rain came down in deluges; this went on for some 5 mins; and then it all abruptly stopped? And then this am; beautiful suuny day, blue skies. Go figure. Now, as I post, there is a weather change, yet again....dark clouds swiftly erasing the once blue skies; with rain looming on the horizon.

Tidbit - Appreciate Autumn and its majesty!

Bittid - Amazing how much we all depend on the weather; and how our lives are so affected by it.

As mentioned in a recent blog, we have a memorial service this afternoon to attend; so the afternoon and part of the evening will be spent with old friends; of all ages.
