Tidbits of good cheer, encouragement and hope!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Just reread my December 9th post - "An 'eureka' Blessing' and that sums up much in our daily walk with Christ.. However, to recap the bittidz since then, we have had some other 'eurekas.'

Eventhough we encountered and experienced more challenges and some unbelievable obstacles, Alan and I  were / are thankful in celebrating the Birth of Christ.

Alan and I were given a 15 pound turkey by some kind friends and by their random act of kindness, that provided our Christmas meal and several other meals. On Christmas Day (had the day off from work), we did a 'team' effort in putting together a lovely Christmas dinner for the two of us. Alan makes a wonderful turkey stuffing (an old Scottish family recipe), however, did not have all the tidbitz ingredients needed, so he had to improvise. It was the best stuffing ever; as well as the 'butterball' turkey!  He mashed the potatoes, cooked the veggies (broccoli, carrots) and I made the gravy (had to be creative there too, as we did not have the favourite supplies in our food larder) and a wonderful Cranberry sauce. We were rather late in getting our Christmas meal supplies; so we gratefully settled for frozen cranberries, which were extremely tasty. The grocery clerk was right; in that we would not even notice the difference from fresh / frozen berries once prepared.

If I say so myself (LOL!) we set a 'nice' and festive table for the two of us and we were appreciative to partake in a Christmas dinner. (Many people around the world do not even have food / shelter; so we are all the more thankful for the Blessings we have been given!). We are also very thankful to a dear person who gave us some food coupons; and that went a long way in providing us with groceries; including the fixings for a Christmas dinner / leftovers. (They are the best part! We also bought a delicious apple crumble pie on sale! That treat, as well as Alan's home made turkey soup from the leftovers, have provided us with wonderful meals). We listened to Christmas carols (A station on the radio played non stop Christmas music!), and we enjoyed our gas fireplace. Regardless of all the 'stuff' going on around us, we reflected upon our Blessings and came to the conclusion, that this particular Christmas has been the most special and most meaningful one ever! I also put up some decorations on the 23rd (had not felt like it; as we had had the 'wind knocked out of our sails,' in a few situations) and that 'warmed up' our two rooms downstairs.

As mentioned in the earlier post, Christmas can be both a sad and / or a happy time for many. We had a mix of both and yet certain tid things that did occur, we are glad about; as they are life lessons.
When one goes through 'trials and tribulations,' there is more empathy, compassion and understanding towards others.  Even if there have been (and there have been!) mistakes made, it is sad to see people 'rub salt in the wounds'  Unfortunately, we have experienced that; and at the same time, it just strengthens our resolve in Him and gives us resiliency.

This morning, I watched Dr. Charles Stanley (www.intouchministires.org) and his son, Andy gives a wonderful message and also honouring his Dad, who very recently turned 80 years young!

ie. To quote: "Life Lessons With Dad
Not all pastors’ kids grow up seeing their fathers consistently live out the biblical truths they teach. Thankfully, Andy Stanley had that privilege. Full of personal anecdotes, fond memories and moving stories about his relationship with his father, Andy’s message will encourage you to live out these biblical lessons in your own life, and pass them on to the next generation."

Andy Stanley's message was about family and that really hit a 'home run' to me. All those of you, who have their family strifes /  rifes etc, today's teaching is invaluable and gave me comfort. I wished I had been taught more like that, when I was a child; or perhaps, maybe I did not grasp my parents' teachings then; as it was not yet my time to understand. (My Mum and Dad did their best for me; as per my Nov 12th post -'Honouring my Mum.'  Eventhough, I was adopted;  I knew my earth parents wanted children; and I am forever thankful for them).

As shared, Alan and I have been going through many unreal 'trials and tribulations.' This past little while, I got to the point where I literally just turned everything over to God to deal with, and that included consequences. I felt an immediate peace within, after that happened and as the bit expression goes: "Let the cards fall where they may." Interestingly enough, in today's message from Andy, he was saying that his Dad basically instilled / encouraged him to Obey God and Leave the Consquences to Him. That is a major TIDBIT of advice!!!!

Yes, I continue to persist in having Trust and Faith in our Heavenly Father; however,  there have been some trying bittid moments that have sorely tested us re: the 'Fruits of the Spirit." Today's message is RIGHT ON and THANK YOU to Dr. Charles Stanley and Andy. They are leaving a legacy. What a wonderful purpose and plan that He has helped them with!

Alan and I have spent a lot of time as of late, re evaluating and reflecting upon everything and we will continue to continue. ie. From Proverbs 3:5-6 - 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path." (One of Dr. Stanley's favourite verses too!)   Also, from Psalm 46:10 - "Be still and know that I am God." These passages are awesome and have helped us through difficult times.

Today, another TIDBIT verse that Andy Stanley was sharing is from Psalm 32 - 8. I LOVE this one and wish I had known about it when I was a child as he had done. ie. "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you." This is another verse I will now heartily rejoice in!

Also, another BITTID in Proverbs 22, 'On Life and Conduct;' particularly about borrowing and hence becoming a slave. That gave me the final  resolve necessary, to 'leave the consquences to Him.' That has removed a huge load  from my heart and has provided me with a peace and a confidence from within. The whole passage from Proverbs 22 is an excellent encouragement.

My suggestion is to tune into www.intouchministries.org. Very insightful and empowering teachings!

Tidbit - OBEY GOD AND LEAVE THE CONSQUENCES TO HIM.  Methinks, that makes life a lot simpler and helps erase worries, anxieties, doubts, fears etc.

Bittid - What is Faith?  Hebrews 11 - 1. "Now Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."  It is having the trust and faith in the unseen; not in the visible. ie. Remember the story of Doubting Thomas ('You see Me and believe; think of those who do not see Me; but believe." That's Faith).

This is where Alan and I are at in our lives presently; living one day at a time (and in the unseen Faith and Trust in Him). Many do not understand; and again, perhaps it is not their time yet.  Regardless of our circumstances, Alan and I will continue to continue to daily bloom in His Service and to be Used by Him to encourage and uplift all those we meet. 

As an aside, we have flowers (Roses; my Dad loved roses!) blooming at this time of year in our garden! Heard a Robin also sing a cheery sing song early this morning, as well as seeing chickadees jump joyfully from branch to branch on our big tree in front. Plus, the sun is brightly shining!   We are appreciative of these, as Blessings!

We had an interesting experience yesterday; and the Scripture from Romans 8 - 28  is a majestic example!  "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."  We literally saw honesty and dishonesty at work. Two people; wherein one was not truthful and the other was being honouable. Alan and I were put in a most awkward situation and wanting to do what was right and fair. However,  He magnificently brought the TRUTH to light, by exposing the untruths and the deceits shown.

In closing for 2012 and a positive thought also, for going forward into the New Year, remember that each and every day is a brand new day! A new canvas if you will! So expand your horizons, Seek Him out, and He will Guide your path. Never lose hope, as it is not too late to invite Him into your heart. He will never leave you; as ' He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life!'

Also, want to thank all the ministries that give so generously of their time on the T.V. network stations (ie The Vision Channel and Joy10 T.V). They are also wonderful resources to tune into. Alan and I have also appreciated reading Pastor Charles Price's monthly free booklet, 'My Daily Journey with Christ' and his daily messages have provided us with a greater understanding and empathy in our walk.  So, a special 'Thank you!' Charles; and his website is: www.livingtruth.ca. We have enjoyed his down to earth teachings.

An 'eureka' Blessing!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Today is Sunday, ALL DAY....A day of total rest for us! I know it has been a bittid of awhile since I wrote my post of November 12th.

I have been given more hours at work (which is good) and I am very definitely learning LOTS!  Regardless of experiencing some challenging situations, my goal is to continually uplift others (co-workers and customers); with the hope that they leave the location, feeling better!!!

Alan has been searching high and nigh for various jobs and they are not that easy to find. Seems these days, one has to be computer skilled etc. However, he has been given some tidbit leads and is diligently following them up.

Today, I watched Dr. Charles Stanley (www.intouchministries.org) and, he is right on with his message - 'Solving Problems Through Prayer.' Best for those who are curious for some tid teachings, to check out his website.

Reflecting, Alan and I will have been married ten years as of tomorrow. The time has literally flown by and we are more in love and more thankful than ever for one another.

I also had a bit of an ' eureka' today. ie. Instead of being 'distracted' by 'micro matters' and being discouraged by disappointments, look for doors to open and not waste time on 'closed' doors. Accept the fact that certain doors have been closed and look expectantly forward to positive breakthroughs (from Him). When He closes one door, He opens another. The trick is, knowing when to accept closed doors and embrace new opportunities.

Tidbit - Focus on God's guidance, and have Him direct your path, as per His Will, His Purpose, His Plan, and in His Timing.. Leave everything to Him and cast your cares upon Him and just have the FAITH in Him to Provide Solution.

Bittid - Keep it SIMPLE. Do not get bogged down by the confusion and / or deception of distracting and time wasting details. Look to the more macro picture (ie. the unseen FAITH) and RELY totally upon Him to Prevail, as per His Promise to us.

He has sustained us thus far; so we are keeping that as THE focus, that He IS the Provider of Solutions. "Be still and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10) Let Him carry your burdens and fight your battles.

Above, is the photo of our dear Blue, who passed away in February. We miss him terribly, and trust that he is in Heaven at peace and free of his devastating and tragic illness. We will also, raise our glasses to Blue, as in a 'Skal' to 'Absent Friends' when we enjoy our Christmas turkey dinner.

We may not have the exterior trappings,  however, we have the interior trimmings of the Holy Spirit! We will be celebrating the Birth of Christ; and we are thankful for the daily bittidz Blessings He gives us. We have very much to be thankful for!  We will simply continue to appreciate each and every day and keep an open mind and heart. 

Also, this time of year can be both happy and sad times for many; so our thoughts and Prayers go out to all those who are experiencing tidbitz tough times.

Honouring my Mum

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It has been a very relaxing Remembrance day (Monday). My Mum's birthday is today and I miss her. (I miss my Dad too; as well as others dear to my heart, who have passed away). We do, indeed, have so much to be thankful for.

In my case, I have already mentioned it, that I was adopted. My Dad said that I was 'made to order' - as in a 'carbon copy' of him and my Mum's makeup etc,  To me, my children are a gift!  Interesting are some of the tidbit traits they have inherited - ARE from me, their Dad, blood parents / blood grandparents, as well as with what I grew up with in the environment that I was raised in. In a tid nutshell, I am totally grateful that I was adopted into a family who wanted children and who gave me the best that they could give me, with what they had. I have from to time, been a bit curious (primarily for medical reasons for  future generations) to check into, as to who my 'blood parents' might be. I have not been given much info; save that, both were athletes (which explains things) and so forth. If they are alive today, they would be app 82 and 83 yrs of age.

Today, I am honouring my Mum. She did her best with what she was given and you know, I learned a LOT!!!! (or now, I am!).  She was from another 'ERA' (as was my Dad) and I was brought up in an 'European household' (hurrah!) - where there were manners and ethics etc. Today, I think some of us are known as 'dinosaurs.' We grew up in an era where there was NO entitlement or 'attitude' allowed etc. I know of what I tidbitz write; very sad to say.

Alan and I love each other; our love grows stronger each passing day. I am thankful that he is a Christian (he has been misunderstood most of the time) and that he has shared the message of Christ with me. We know that Revelation is HERE. Just a matter of time when we are Raptured.  We can rejoice, knowing where our future eternal address is going to be!  At the same time, it is very disheartening to see what is going on throughout the world these days and who will be left behind.

Both Alan and I have been experiencing bittidz tough times (since Sept 2008) and we have been relying on Him to Direct our path and Provide for us. He has done that! We do have a few 'sticky wickets' coming up; however, we are abiding in Faith and Trust in Christ, that He will Sustain us, as He has steadfastedly. Today, we have been looking at many options for Alan and something just has to 'gel.'  I have been given more hours of work; and my shift has been moved to a later am time (which I am thankful for too).

Just fiinished reading the monthly booklet, 'My Daily Journey with Christ', published by Pastor Charles Price, of Living Truth. (www.livingtruth.ca or www.livingtruth.com) Alan and I are very appreciative of the monthly booklets we receive in the mail, from Charles; as they have helped us immensely through our daily walk in Christ. We really appreciate Charles and his teachings and for those of you, who wish to know more, tune into his ministry.

Today for ex. 'God Doesn't Promise To Tell Us What He Is Doing' has been extremely invigorating, considering all that we have been experiencing each and every day! ie. To quote Charles: "Our trust in Christ is not a blind mystical 'we just hope everything will work out', but rooted in God's revelation of Himself in His Word." 'David encourages us to pray the words he worte in Psalm 110:133 -  "Lord, direct my footsteps according to Thy words." In Psalm 37:4 (I love this one!) he writes: "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Personally, I am with that 100%!!!! I can see why David, was a man after God's own heart!!!!

Tidbit - Just keep having the Faith and the Trust that there will be a 'breakthrough' from Him; as per His Promise to take care of His children. 

Bittid - Accept that everything is to be in ACCORDANCE WITH HIS WILL, HIS PURPOSE, AND HIS PLAN.  'Ask and Ye Shall Receive.'  'Seek and Ye Shall Find.' 'Knock and a door shall be opened unto you.' Keep on enduring and do NOT give up, EVEN when things may not look as how you would like them to be. Perservere and Give Thanks to Him; regardless.

You will look back on the day and realize that He has, indeed, Helped you through it. Say your Prayers of Thanksgiving and do that each and every day and night. Ultimately, as you reflect, you KNOW that He IS there for you.

This is a photo of a beautiful Queen Elizabeth Rose, that my Dad used to enjoy growing. Gave my Mum a great deal of pleasure too, to see it climb and bloom so wonderfully. (If you wish, you can refer to my older posts, going back to April 30, 2007 etc). My Dad used to grow roses (as a bittid hobby) and every day, he would wear a miniature rose in his lapel.  Eventhough, you do not see that anymore;  I have been Blessed with those sentimental family memories!

Thanks in Remembrance 11/11/11

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It is November 11th, Rememberance Day. Much to be thankful for! (as per my post from yesterday).

This is just a short post for today. Want to share that Dr. Charles Stanley (In Touch Ministries) gives an awesome message on VICTORY OVER  UNFORGIVENESS. Methinks it is best if you were to tune into www.intouch.org. to hear his insights of  wisdom and encouragement. He is right on!

Am thinking that it is / can be a bit of a sad time of year for many people..Today for example, in remembering those we have loved and lost. I am thinking about my parents, and that they tried their tidbitz best to bring us up. Both of them have passed away and I miss them. And looking back, I realize how much they did do for me; and I am grateful!  My children's other grandfather recently passed away; so it is now our turn to carry the mantle of  the life cycle, of being the 'older ones'; as in grandparents. We have beautiful grandchildren and more, most likely in the future (hurrah!); and so as I reflect, I realize that the years have passed by us too quickly!

Tidbit - Make the best of today; as the span of life is too brief!  Instead, be a Blessing and of good cheer to others ( regardless of your circumstances)..

Bittid - . Life is too short to carry and bear grudges, resentment, bitterness, anger; hence having unforgiving hearts.

Dr. Stanley talks about a situtation with parents or whomever...ie. If one dies and there has not been the opportunity to say goodbye, he gives some good counsel, in how to have that weight lifted from your hearts. Again, best if you access his comforting suggestions. To quote:

"Express forgiveness, even if the offender has died. We can vocalize our forgiveness while imagining that person seated in a chair. This works because God hears our conversation and settles the matter in our hearts."

He is also talking about 'laying it all down.' ie. past hurts, you name it. If one has an unforgiving heart, how can we expect our Heavenly Father to forgive us?  Please refer to Matthew 6: v 14 & 15 after the Lord's Prayer.

Guess I am digressing a bittidz. I know that my parents and I had our tid moments.  Am thankful,  I had the opportunity to spend quality time with them and also to say 'goodbye' (in a gentle loving way) to them both; when their times were up..

Also was fortunate with my ex-father-in-law. I called him up to wish him a 'Happy Thanksgiving' and he was happy to hear from me. I mentioned that we have much to be thankful for; and he heartiily agreed.  I asked how he was and he said, 'I' m doing okay.'  Eventhough our conversation was brief; he added in closing, that he held me in very high regard (or words to that effect).. I replied: 'I do as well, towards you.' So, if nothing else, I am grateful that I had that special moment to speak with him. I had no idea that he was going to pass away a short while later. So, for those who may feel extra sad at not 'saying goodbye' to loved ones,  take solace in what Dr. Stanley suggests.

Today is also exceedingly quiet. I am also remembering our fathers and thanks to countless other brave souls who fought in both wars for our freedom. I say a huge and heartfelt THANK YOU (those were my thoughts for the 11:00 moment of silence to remember: 'the 11th month, the 11th day, and the 11th hour').

We are feeling the forecasted 'Arctic air mass' and it seems more like bittid winter, than fall. There are still leaves on various trees; but our tree out front, is now displaying pussy willows, as well as few scant leaves hanging here and there.

Alan grew this wonderful purple Braveheart plant from seed and it is still alive in mid November!.

Hope this has been a tidbit of comfort to all those who are rermembering, feeling sad etc. throughout the world.

Much to be thankful for!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Well, (that is a deep subject), a lot of tidbitz has been going on and / or not going on. Hmmmmmm. Where to begin, where to begin???

Guess today has been a good bittidz start. It has been a beautiful sunny day! We have enjoyed our patio immensely and have appreciated the warmth of the sun's rays and the garden life that is still abounding with fresh lush colour. We still have tid rhodos that are blooming and / or reblooming! We have a south / west exposure; so methinks that helps quite a bit!

We have crows, starlings, thrushes flying about to gather their winter harvest. Alan feeds the crows with tidbit 'treats,' ie.what is left of our Science Diet dog food.  Both amusing and interesting to watch their interaction, as well as seeing their impatience of expectation for their treats!  The starlings seem to fly in clusters; top heavy on our tree out front; however, they keep coming back for more! They are also amongst those scavenging for the 'treats.' The crows and the starlings seem to have a respect for one another and 'take turns.'

As mentioned earlier, I have returned to work. Completely a new field for me; albeit customer service is the common denominator. "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you" - is so true; and these days, one wants 'repeat customers!'  Have experienced my bittid 'moments;' but have hung in there, with the hopes of adding uplifts to both my team mates and the customers.  Was just given more hours for the upcoming week; and I am thankful for that 'gift.' A little earlier, I said a Prayer for my team mates; whom I feel are all like 'gerbils on a treadmill' (me included at times too). So, I feel and have an extra tidbitz of gratitude!

A very dear friend of ours (and he knows who he is!) sent us this wonderful insight on "Picking Fruit.' This happened to arrive right at the 'right moment' (NO COINCIDENCE!). I had been feeling a bittidz downtrodden, browbeaten, dismayed, disenheartened. overwhelmed etc by various events that have been taking place around us.This really uplifted and buoyed my tid spirits, and perhaps it will do the same for those of you who have also experienced your bit 'moments.' - be it in sadness, grief, let downs, stress, disappointments, discouragement, deception, exclusions, and so forth.

"So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant" (Josh 24:13).
I live on a golf course. Golf has been a part of my life since I was eleven years old. It has taught me many life lessons. I went to college on a golf scholarship and later turned professional for three years.
I often walk at sundown for exercise and use this time to pray. It is a quiet and beautiful place to walk. When I walk, I usually find one or two golf balls along the way. But one time was different.
On this particular walk, I began to find golf balls everywhere I looked. When I had collected 5, I began to notice how strange this was. Then, it became 8, then 10 and finally my pockets were literally stuffed with 13 golf balls!
When something unusual happens in our daily life experience it is a time to tune in to your spiritual antennae. God is often at work. So, I prayed, "Lord, what are you saying through this?" The answer came quickly: "I have called you to walk a specific path. I will bring the fruit to you. All you will have to do is pick it up and stay on my path for you. That is what it means to abide in Me."
The people of Israel conquered the Promised Land as a result of obedience, not sweat, toil, or natural talent. In our work life call, He desires to give us fruit from our calling when we fulfill the unique purpose for which God made us. You will not have to manipulate the outcome. Abide completely in His presence and purpose for your life so you can pick the fruit He desires to bring into your path. His nature is to do exceedingly beyond what we can think or imagine.
What fruit can you see in your own life?


Last night, I was really upset / concerned to the point where I had to get up (2:00 am) and I was 'directed' strongly towards the Bible. I happened to 'turn to' (it fell right open!) to Psalms 40 - 'God Sustains His Servants.' That gave me a great deal of comfort; so I was able to fall back asleep, with a complete peace and have a confident calm. ie. Verse 16: " Let all who seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee." I re read the passage today; as well as Psalm 39 ('The Vanity of Life'),  Psalm 41 ('The Psalmist in Sickness Complains of Enemies and False Friends'); Psalm 42 ('Thirsting for God in Trouble and Exile'); Psalm 43 ('Prayer for Deliverance');  and Psalm 44 ('Former Deliverance and Present Troubles').

I thought: WOW!!!! Psalm 40 IS right on; as are the other ones I have mentioned!
We are seeing much unfold before our very tid eyes; and it is very distressing to observe what is going on around us. Be it close or from afar.

Tidbit - God can use you; be it in your strengths and / or weaknesses.  Do not ever feel inadequate about your weaknesses. Trust in the Holy Spirit for His Purpose. It is both a learning curve for you and for others, whose hearts are touched by Him.

In my case, my weaknesses are being used by Him; in helping and encouraging others; by bringing out the best in them.  Upon a bit of reflection,  I have had an ephifany; along with a thankful heart! Many lessons are continously being learned along the way.

Bittid  -  Abide in Him; and He Abides in you.

The story about the golf balls, is such an awesome example, methinks! Thanks again, to our special friend! Alan and I (we are not alone!) have a lot of uncertainty before us; and we are Seeking Him out for Clarity, Understanding,  a Discerning Spirit, Wisdom, and His Guidance etc.  I Pray that, for all of us; particularly during these unsettling and disturbing times. Revelation IS happening all over the world; and we all must be ever READY!!!  The Rapture will take those who are with Him; and those who are left, will be left wondering????...... That is WHY, it is so crucial to genuinely INVITE CHRIST INTO YOUR HEARTS NOW; so that you are assured of an eternal address in His Kingdom.

I am looking forward to watching / embracing the Vision Channel and Joy10 T.V. tomorrow. I have made reference to them in the recent posts; and for those of you who are curious / and or wish to learn more, tune into them! They provide great resources of solid info and hope!

We are glad it is the weekend and we will be enjoying some movies tonight on our T.V.  I have tomorrow and Monday off; so I will be remembering those who fought so valiantly in both world wars. Peaee to those souls who died to preserve a better life of freedom for us all.

Prayerful, Thankful, and Joyful!

Almost 2 weeks have zapped by us! Where has the time gone! As mentioned, have been back at work; learning the ropes etc. Has defiinitely been a learning curve, but it is good! My hope also, is to uplift all those around me; be it the team I am working with and / or the customers!  I would like to think that their day is a lot tidbitz better than when they first walked into the location!  I believe in my heart, that there is a bittidz of a difference being made to their daily lives. ie, "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you."

Today has been a dark and rainy day and it looks as if the forecast is to be the same for the next number of days. I am not scheduled to work this Monday; so this is like a bit of a long weekend for me. I am appreciative of that!  Looking out the window, I am also enjoying the beauty of all the lushness of the Autumn season. ie. Seeing the leaves in glorious splendour, of gorgeous vibrantly fresh Fall colours etc.

We are still going through tid 'trials and tribulations'; but at the same time, we are looking forward to some good news; as in a breakthrough! Just a tidbit matter of remaining PATIENTLY steadfast in Prayer, Hope, and Trust in Him to Provide solution. Of course, we must remember that everything is to be in Accordance with His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan, and ALSO, in His Timing.

Tidbit - Patience is key! Wait patiently upon His Will, Purpose, and Plan for you. ie.. "Be still and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10)

Bittid  - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. (Proverbs 3: 5-6).

Those two scriptures from the Bible are so awesome and this is really helpful to us; particularly in some bittid  'down' moments.

Alan and I are thankful for each and every day. We can not lament about what happened yesterday; nor can we have 'angst' over tomorrow (that will be here soon enough); so we must live in the today and do and give our best for today (as in each and every day). He does not want us to be anxious about anything! Instead, have a gracious, open, and receptive heart to Him!  Joyfully appreciate the little things and keep things simple (I know I have already shared that; but it is very true). Just keep on having the stalwart Faith in Him to Provide for you; regardless of your circumstances.There is always a new dawn!  Be thankful or make it a point of being thankful at night before you fall asleep, and also in the morning, prior to rising - actually be grateful throughout the whole day for your Blessings - whether big or small! Recognizing that, not only helps you, but it inspires and uplift others. In turn, you become a Blessing and / or of  good cheer to all those you meet!

We are glad to be home for this rainy evening and we will be looking forward to seeing some good movies on T.V. Tomorrow, I will again, be appreciating the Joy10 T.V. and the Vision Channel for their uplifiting insights. My October 15th post ('Appreciate the DAILY Blessings') refers to the various ministerial programs; should you wish to tune in to them for teachings etc.

Also as a closing tidbit / bittid: Never forget that Jesus tells us to seek out a quiet place to talk to Him. He is at the doorway of your heart. If you open the door and invite Him in, He will come and never leave you.  He wants to have a personal relationship with each and every one of us!  Also, Revelation is happening; which is why it is all the more vital that you Seek Him out now.

Appreciate the DAILY Blessings

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It has been a bittid of awhile! We have had many full days; experiencing trials and tribulations, as well as joyful tidbit Blessings.

Have gone back to work (app 6 weeks) and it has been a bittidz of a 'learning curve.' Very interesting; certainly builds tidbitz character! Also, there are many sad people out there. In my job, I like to think that the customers are happier when they leave; and that they will look forward to returning. I also hope to uplift my team members.

Have also enjoyed watching Joy 10 TV and the Vision Channel on the Sundays and those programs have been extremely invaluable to me. To name but just a few, I have appreciated the inspiring messages / lessons from Dr. Charles Stanley, Jack Van Impe Presents, Dr. David Jeramiah, Pastor Doug Batchelor, Pastor John Hagee, Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen. I appreciate other ministries (Charles Price, Rhonda Lazerte, Hour of Power etc) as well, however, I have only been able to watch the early mornings and then again in the evenings.

Today is my 'day off.'  Started off with waking up early and appreciating the bit of sunshine. There was a glorious moment of radiant rays reflecting a golden / reddish hue on all surrounding autumn foliage. Eventhough it was only for a tid moment, I revelled in the beauty of all the trees, leaves etc Such a gorgeous and refreshing time of year, is the Fall! The rain came soon after and everything still looks so  lush and healthy! Am appreciative for His Creations and to have also enjoyed a quiet, reflective, and restful day.

We had an extra special and meaningful Thanksgiving. My son gave us an 18 pound turkey!!! Alan and I enjoyed a quiet Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday; and of course there were many leftovers! Alan made up his soup, as well as putting together various plates of turkey meals for those who were not able to celebrate a Thanksgiving meal.  My son had to be out of town and my daughter was tied up with her side of the family. Given the busy past number of weeks, Alan and I were glad to be 'low key.'  We had the traditional dinner, with all the trimmings, sitting down at a nicely set dining room table, and enjoyed listening to Dinah Krall. As, the evening was quite mild, we sat outside on our wee patio (wearing sweaters / jackets), appreciating her mellow music wafting in the background. It was a very lovely and special evening. We miss our Blue (our Blue Heeler) and eventually, we would like to find another 'Blue.' He was, indeed, very dear to our hearts. Hard to believe that it has been 8 months without him.

One of the tidbits that Joel Osteen was sharing was about 'waiting for the ingredient.' ie. Hang in there and do not give up. God has something special planned for you and even if your Prayers etc have not been answered as quickly or even differently, just know that He, knows what is best for you.  Alan and I live one day at a time and we believe in 'keeping it simple.' We are thankful for our Blessings and this morning was one of them, methinks! ie. the majestic glorious hues of sunshine this morning!

I do apologize for not writing; but 'it has been a slice', as they say. (Could have written several best sellers! LOL!).  I have missed writing. However, we are stalwart and steadfastedly working towards coming out, from down under. Challenges yes; however, we have the Faith and Trust in Christ to Guide us through and Direct our Paths, as per His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan - DAILY.

Tidbit - Hang in there. Keep on trekking. There are trials and teibulations; but perservere with Faith and Trust in Him - DAILY.

Bittid - . Having DAILY hope is good too! After the day has passed, Thank Him, regardless of your circumstances and just KNOW that things will get better with each passing day. Believe and joyfully anticipate that your breakthrough is coming!

Also, the ministerial programs are wonderful resources for learning more about Christ and the Bible. For those of you who wish to know more, best to tune into their uplifting messages; be it via T.V.online, or radio.
