Well, the day has come and gone! I guess that can happen when one has been away for a couple of days. Bits of tids of "things" pile up! And yet, at the same time, got a lot of tidbitty things accomplished!
Tidbit - There are times when you do not feel like doing the "boring" yucky tids of bits...however, if you apply an "attitude switch!" - ie, this has to be done; and may as well attack it today...It is amazing how good you feel when "that" task (I say task)has been started and / or ultimately completed! Maybe we should go away more often! LOL!
This photo is of the "Sea to Sky Highway" - the route to Whistler Mountain. It is an absolutely gorgeous drive; and it is so wonderful, to see all the work being prepped and beautified, to widen the road, to 4 lanes, for the 2010 Olympics. The famous Canadian artist, Tony Onley, often depicts these "blue misty isles" in water colours; and he has done many a scene along this breath taking highway.
We had a fabulous 2 day stay; Monday, walked about the Whistler village; then went on a Timeshare tour; not what we had planned for our afternoon; however "best laid plans of mice and men!" We were "nabbed" for 90 mins - we even said, we would not be "buyers" at this time. We were told, not a problem; we can give you a dinner certificate anyway; plus we get a $15 payment, for "steering" you there for the "presentation."
Tidbit - It always is nice to help someone out! Right? LOL! Look what happened to us! A lovely surprise! So, "unexpected" things can also be good!
And, it was a fun "adventure"; we had nothing to lose! It was an interesting experience; and we enjoyed our dinner at Hy's, all the more, with our $100.00 gift certificate! No complaints at our end! I gulped down raw oysters on the half shell; I think I was given an extra one! Also, there was a cute tiddy bit of a wine decanter; and I asked our outstanding waiter about acquiring one, if possible. He came back with one, that had a bit of a tid of a chip; and that made my night as well! We will just get the rim smoothed; and the decanter will be "as good as new!" It holds a 1 / 2 litre of wine. We also drank sooooooo much water; the Whistler Mountain water is just the best!
And then, it was time to go home again the next day...back to reality!
Tidbit - Taking a few tidbit of days tidded here and bitted there, is a positive R & R plan! It makes you appreciate everything, all that much more!

"Sweet Dreams"

"Sweet Dreams." That is the tidbit, I can come up with at this time!
We have not been home all that long; and we totally enjoyed ourselves. As nice as it was to be away for a few days, there is "no place like home!" And, I am looking forward to bed!
Will blog more fully tomorrow.
Tidbit - Good Night & "Sweet Dreams".
God Bless.

Whistler Mountain!

There it is, in in all its glory! Magnificent Whistler Mountain! We are off today, to this wonderful part of the world! AND, only about a 2 hr drive, from where we live! Imagine the 2010 Olympics coming here!!!! WOW! And, here is our Canadian flag, pictured in the foreground!
Feel a bit "rested" already; just the thought of "getting out of town" for a few tids of days, is uplifting! We will not be skiing at this time; although the snow is fantastic! We will "l'apres ski" instead!
I have not skied for about 10 to 12 years; and ultimately, the equippment that I bought, is now out of date! Alan has had the "boards" on a few times in his life; however, he will pick it up again! I will "teach" him! LOL! We are thinking that within the next year or two, we will take up skiing. It is such a great and invigorating sport!
Tidbit - Appreciate and be "ready" for whatever comes your way! Embrace life; and enjoy!!! When you are always "content",(in good and in not so good circumstances) you will "glow" from within! ie. an inner joy; and "Praise Him in all things"; and be thankful for all that you have or do not have....And now, I had better "kangaroo" it out of here! LOL!
Here is wishing you all a Happy R & R Sunday! Will be blogging in again, on Tues pm.
Our beloved "Blue" is at "Camp" Waggers. Apart from his food, and a few "treats", he has his pillow and "blankie" with him!
P.S. LOVE that particular picture of Whistler!

The Art of Marriage - About as Major a Tidbit, as it gets!!!

A good marriage must be created,
In marriage the little things are the big things...
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say "I love You" at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating
gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is not only marrying the right perrson,
IT IS BEING THE RIGHT PARTNER.
Cathy, in her Blog of today, mentioned about the right couple combinations; ie in "becoming the right person." This inspired me to include this message; that I have had in a frame for all these years! It is sooooooo true. It hangs in its own tidbit space, on our bedroom wall! It is a very loving daily reminder!
Thanks, Cathy, for providing me with yet, another little tidbit! However, this is no minor tidbit! Hope this is "food for thought" and "music to the ears!"
School Grad Reunion!

Had our School Grad Reunion last night! It was just great! Held at "Debbie's" lovely home; (LOVED HER KITCHEN; AND HER GOURMET FOOD! LOL!) and we all enjoyed ourselves! We were all surprised of the good time we had! The appies, the wine, the DINNER, and the desserts! Out of 50, 17 showed! No one had really changed! EXCEPT FOR THE LATE BLOOMERS!!!! LOL! We were / are still all "young at heart!" Three, unfortunately, have passed away; scary - so, "a wee tid of info" bit - make the best of your life; and live EACH day at a time; and to the fullest appreciation!
Tidbit - Appreciate the reminiscing of "old times!" and enjoy the BLOOM! And, if it is a later bloom, enjoy it all the more!
My classmates eluded to me - "you never were a story teller! And, you are just glowing!". My response, was " Well, I am OUT of there now!" And, am a "late bloomer! and STILL BLOOMING!" LOL! They all agreed; and in short, it was an "appreciation" night for us all! I am going to email each and every one of the women who attended; and let them EACH know how "special" they each are; and what I enjoyed most uniquely about them at this particular "get together!"
Personally, I was not "into" attending the evening; however, I am really glad I did! Interestingly enough, a few of the "others" had the same thoughts! LOL!
Another Tidbit! - Have empathy for others; and when it is said, "the grass is always greener on the other side" - never so. Remember to impart genuinely, a confident gentleness and a "calm" enthusiasm!
There is another "gathering" tonight; but just a tidbit of a few of us, that are still remaining in town. I am fortunate that I live here; and not to have had to travel for the Reunion. Hmmmmmmm. Now THAT is dedication! LOL! We shall see..."significant others" are included in tonight's ongoing story! I think if I go, there will be my Alan, and one or 2 of the other husbands. Hmmmmm. We are leaving early tomorrow am to go out of town, for some "R & R" for a few days; but, I think we can "go for it!"
A bit again of tid! - "Go for it!" You live only once!

Be "creative!"

Just LOVE this mix and strong contrast of colours! Such a bright and vivid beginning to the day; and also, it is T.G.I.F.! (Thank Goodness it's Friday!) We are going out of town for a few days; and I have been "like a little child" counting the days off UNTIL this Sunday!!!! Whoopee! And, at the same time, doing my tids best to live each bit of a day AT A TIME, with appreciation and delight!
Tidbit - It is always good for the soul, to have something to look forward to! Even if you have to be "creative" at times! ie. even a small bouquet of flowers; or seeing fresh blooms....think of Spring, which is just around the corner! When you have or "create" a bit of tid to look forward to, it helps uplift your spirits, doesn't it?
Another Tidbit - It is just as vital to live and savour each day; whatever the day brings; and enjoy the moments of each and every day.

Fresh raspberries!
.jpg)
This has been a rather interesting week! For some reason, I have felt that today has been "Friday!"; and it is only Thursday! I found this photo image of "Giving Thanks"; and the raspberries grabbed my attention! A tid of a bit of thought - Could the 7 raspberries in the palm of the hand, represent each day of the week, that we should give daily thanks? Hmmmmmm.
Tidbit - Whenever possible, enjoy fresh fruit; as it is so wonderfully healthy for you! Raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries are delicious; either made up in a nourishing fruit salad or, mixed into a refreshing "smoothie" shake!
An extra bit of tid! - I LOVE raspberries! When I was pregnant with my children, raspberries were my "craving!" - day and night! LOL! Fortunately, the latter part of the pregnancies were throughout the summer months; so this was a happy relief, for all those concerned! I am surprised that I did not turn into a great big raspberry at the end of term! LOL!
So, at the end of this day, I give thanks for what we have; and, for raspberries!
Until tomorrow, which will be T.G.I.F. Day!
