Thoughtful Reflections

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It is pouring with rain and here is hoping that the downpour will help and not hinder our attempts with the recently sowed grass seed.

Bella went home last night; so it is just Hamish and Timmie. Both are good dogs.

That being said, I have also been in thoughtful reflection.

It is interesting to observe that some people choose to use a variety of host names / handles to link into computers. In my own simple tid way, I am thinking would it not be simpler to just use one handle. But then, perhaps there are privacy issues and so forth.

In today's world, it is a different era, where technologies are taking over etc. Eventhough technology is wonderful (and good on those, who are gifted with being competent with technology) we still prefer the 'old fashioned' tidbitz way of genuine communication; as in eyeball to eyeball. We do not text; and we would rather meet and speak directly, face to face.

However, emails are good; and perform many useful functions. As helpful links / informative tools, facilitating communication, long distance correspondence etc. Also, a casual way of touching bases and at the same time, brief 'snippets.'

I enjoy writing posts / journals. As a youngster, or when I travelled, I always would write a bittidz journal or a 'Dear Diary.' I write posts to uplift others and to also encourage those who have been / are in the midst of life's battles / spiritual challenges.

SIMPLY TURN TO HIM and have the Faith and Trust in Him to always Provide, as per His Promise to us. It may not always be in your desired timing etc; but just know that He always Provides HIS best plan for you. The best thing, therefore, is to just keep on trekking each and every day, with the steadfast focus upon Him; as He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE.

Am remembering too, that when I was a little one, the world was a whole lot safer and in those days, a completely different world; where you did not have to lock your door, neighbours were neighbourly etc. There were no cell phones, no video games, etc to entertain us. An old and successful entrepreneur friend, who was one of my mentors, told me that 'getting down to basics' and 'keeping it simple, stupid' (the K.I.S.S. principle) was / is a helpful piece of tidbit advice.

Alan and I are young 'baby boomers' and we are thankful for the special Blessings that each day brings. We appreciate, and enjoy our neighbours, which also includes ex neighbours, old loyal good friends, and the special new people / friends we have made and continue to meet. There is a thoughtfulness, a caring, a genuine 'down to earth' two way exchange / rapport. We are grateful for our friends and neighbours. "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you" is so very true.

To refer again to the bit dog example, when you treat a dog well; the dog treats you well. As I mentioned, dogs teach us much. We are glad we had dogs as family pets when we were growing up. My parents, as did Alan's parents, gave us an 'old fashioned' upbringing. That showed a bittid of courtesy, politeness, respect, to treat others well, to have ethics, honour, and integrity. Also, to have an appreciative regard for others; and to have an elegant, yet simple way of doing things.

I love this beautiful photo image; very calming, restful and peaceful. May you enjoy a nice weekend.

Peace and God Bless.
