He IS encouragement and hope!

As an addendum to this morning's post, when I was checking out the order of the Ten Commandments (ie for the 9th Commandment), the book mark, which happened to have the Ten Commandments written on it, was 'resting' in Job 42: 10. I have several bookmarks (but only one, with the Commandments!) in the Bible, but this one 'happened' to open immediately to Job 42! That has occured a number of tid times to me; and this particular passage gives me wonderful tidbits of encouragement!

Also, received this illuminating article from our dear friend. This bittidz is so true. A heartfelt and special 'thank you' to him.

Spiritual Harassment

"Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour" (1 Peter 5:8-9).

I was twenty years old when I approached the first tee of the sectional qualifying round of the Professional Golfers Association US Open, one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in the world. I was a college golfer and was teeing it up with the world's best golfers. I was competing against many of the tour players for only a handful of spots available to get into the tournament.

I was called to the tee and teed up my ball when something unusual happened. As I am looking down at my ball I notice the shoes of someone standing no more than two feet from where I am about to tee off. I am thinking to myself with great irritation, "Who in the world is standing this close to me!?" I look up and it is Sam Snead, still one of golf's greatest players. This man was known for intimidating tactics. But this was beyond belief. Here he was trying to intimidate a young college player. I proceeded to ignore his presence and hit the ball straight down the fairway.

In the spiritual realm we deal with spiritual harassment from Satan and his legions. The Bible says "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Eph. 6:12). It is important to recognize when we are coming against these forces. Satan attempts to distract us from our calling and destiny in life. We often trivialize the reality of the spirit realm of evil.

Paul tells us we must set our minds to deal with the spiritual realm of evil when it impacts our lives. "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. (Eph 6:13).

The next time you feel obstacles have been placed in your life designed to distract you from your God-ordained mission, remember Paul's words and stand firm in Christ."


Oh! Forgot to mention also this bittid! This past Wednesday, I had a first time glimpse of the ministry of Pastor Benny Hinn. I 'happened' to turn on the TV and it was as if I was being being 'directed' to listen to his dynamic message. It was most enlightening!

In closing, he makes mention of Psalm 91; 1-3. (I referred to Psalm 91, in my December 13th post of Prayer and your daily walk! so again, there are NO coincidences). Since I only saw the last few minutes of the program, I just tuned into his online ministry to watch and listen to his insights. ie. THIS IS YOUR DAY Dateline Israel, Part 3

I felt as if I was 'right tidbit there' on the shores of Galilee! In our dreams, Alan and I would love to go on a tour to the Holy Land! Wow! And to simply have the magnificent gift to dip our bit feet into the Sea of Galilee and walk where Jesus walked! Wow!
In his powerful message (and I mean powerful!), Pastor Benny Hinn refers to Matthew 12: 43-45, Very knowledgable and helpful about DISCERNING between God and ever present lurking demons. All the more vital, for us to put on the whole armor of God (Esphesians 6) as we must always be steadfastedly on the alert!

Bittid - The TRUTH sets you free! (ie being indwelt by the Holy Spirit!).

"Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you"

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

With all the recent rain we have been receiving, the snow has melted and everything is tidbitz green again! Eventhough it is a damp and overcast day, I am appreciating my elixir of coffee in my wonderful little Christmas mug. A good day to reflect upon our many Blessings and remembering those we loved and love.

My second cousin (I used to call her 'Aunt'; until I was older and could call her by her first name) gave me a set of 4 beautiful Christmas mugs (albeit now there are 3, due to me breaking one many years ago). I have really enjoyed them over the years, and treasure the memories of the times we spent together. She was one who was largely misunderstood; and yet ONCE, I took the time to genuinely know and appreciate her, she had a 'heart of gold.' God Bless her! Sadly, she passed away app 20 + years ago. Now that I think about it, she 'left' me a beautiful large wooden tray, wonderfully carved by my gifted Godfather (her first cousin). Whenever I go by that awesome tray (which is everyday), I think of her. When I was a small child, I always would be drawn to that tray; and methinks she remembered my warm sentiments. So, I raise 'her' coffee mug in a 'Skal to absent friends.'

Very often if people appear to be 'different' or eclectic, there is the tendency to 'judge.' I shudder at that very bittidz word, when it is wrongly and maliciously applied. Very tid often, it starts with bits of falsehoods, gossip, becomes distorted, and so forth. Once the 'cycle' (can be quite vicious) has begun, it is very hard to face up and make tidbit ammends. However, should the ammends occur, one has a 'clean sheet' and /or a brand new canvas to start afresh.

Lest we forget- the 9th Commandment - "Thou shalt not bear false witness."

I remedied the situation with my 'Aunt' / second cousin. ie. 'Stories' I had 'heard' about her and believed, I was, therefore, not kind nor compassionate towards her. Basically, she was the bittid 'butt of jokes', was ridiculed, excluded, and had been conjured up to be the 'laughing stock' throughout the family.

However, deep inside the tids of my heart, I knew this was not right, nor the truth of the matter. I was compelled to have a 'face to face,' 'eyeball to eyeball' with her and 'clear the air' once and for all. The interesting thing is, she was always gracious to all those she met (including me!), which would bother and upset me all the more! Anyway, at that time, I took a big gulp and apologized for my callous part and unkind bits of behaviour towards her. She was a 'spinster' (do not like that word either), was considered to be 'poor', had no money, was 'hopeless' and thus it went. Before I made my apologies to her, I did not follow the 'golden rule' towards her. ie. 'Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.'

So long story made short, as I am drinking from this dear little Christmas mug, I am thankful that I 'fessed up.' Because I am a curious person, I asked her about certain 'fluff' that I had 'heard.'

Turned out, that she had fallen in love with a young soldier in the second World War, and sadly he was killed. She never got over it. Unfortunately, she was mislabled, misunderstood, and mistreated. Perhaps because she was given the Gift of Grace, and the 'Fruits of the Holy Spirit', she was misjudged by many. So, 'in a nutshell,' I made sure I went out of my bit way to treat her well, and with the respect and kindness she deserved! She and I became close friends; she was a lovely and extra 'special' person. I know she is in Heaven.

Guess I am thinking of various situations that are occuring today and hmmmmm.

Meanwhile, our dear friend sent us today, another wonderful article by Os Hillman as you will read; and again, there are NO coincidences, here folks!Forgiving Those Who Judge You

"After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before" (Job 42:10).

Have you ever been wrongly judged? Have you ever had people assume there was sin in your life because of the troubles you may have experienced? Or perhaps they judged your motives as wrong. What if the people judging you were your closest friends?

This was exactly what happened in the life of Job. His friends did not understand how a godly person could ever go through his degree of adversity unless God was judging him for his sin. However, his friends were wrong and God intervened. "I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has," said God to Job's three friends.

Nothing has really changed after thousands of years. I recall going through a seven year "Job" experience. Friends in the marketplace could not understand why I would experience such calamity unless I had made poor choices. Those in the Church often wrongly equated trouble with sin. Sometimes this can be true, but often trouble is simply a consequence of a call on one's life such as Joseph and the apostle Paul experienced.

Joseph was required to forgive his brothers. Jesus was required to forgive Judas and the disciples for betrayal. You and I are required to forgive those who wrongfully judge us.

This forgiveness is often THE most important step in gaining restoration in our own lives. The scripture above reveals that it was not until Job prayed for his friends that he was restored in the things he had lost.

Is there someone in your life you need to forgive? It may be the missing piece of your puzzle for restoration."

Walking in the Spirit!

Good Evening,

I had meant to include a birthday tribute to remember a very special person, who was dear to my heart. He passed away a little more than a year ago. I have mentioned him in previous posts; and, I am sure he is at peace. I raise my glass with a healthy fruit drink (wish it was with a glass of wine; but this will do!) and say 'Skal, to absent friends.'

Speaking of 'fruit', in my earlier post of today, Prayer and your daily walk! I referred to Galatians 5: 22 - 26. It is a passage on 'The Fruit of the Holy Spirit.' Methinks these verses are tidbits of helpful knowledge and wisdom.
Verse 22 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Verse 23 - gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Verse 24 - Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Verse 25 - If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

Verse 26 - Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

'Walking by the Spirit' ties in with my earlier post and these are no coincidence bittids!

Eventhough, it is 'Friday, the 13th,' Alan and I have experienced an awesome day! Many tidbitz Blessings have appeared! Much to be grateful for! Praise Him in ALL Things! Thankful too, that it is the weekend!

Also earlier this afternoon, I watched the last few bit minutes of the 700 Club Canada www.700club.ca and I recommend tuning into this insightful program! To quote: "The 700 Club Canada is a daily half-hour show that provides Canadians with a unique blend of life-transforming Bible teaching, dynamic Christian testimonies." Again, No coincidences, here folks!

ie. Psalm 91:4 was mentioned (I had included that verse in my earlier post of today) and Verse 4 is so powerful! - "He will cover you with His pinions.
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark."

I love and appreciate this photo image with its empowering message - 'Love conquers all; This is wonderful music in my bittidz ears and heart! LOVE, IS a major Fruit of the Spirit! Amen!

Prayer and your daily walk!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Watched with enthusiastic appreciation, some of my favourite ministries on TV last Sunday. As you know, I refer to several of them in my posts. Hopefully, they provide a tid of an uplift and info to those of you who are a bit curious, have questins, etc.

Also, our daily walk in Christ is for seven days per week, not just limited for one bittid day; whether it be going to Church, watching ministries, fellow-shipping etc. I have appreciated and enjoyed learning by listening, watching, hearing, and then doing during the rest of the week. I am thankful that Sunday is a 'Day of Rest!' It is an ongoing daily journey; and once you have invited Christ into your heart, you change and your daily life, becomes that much more meaningful.

A very good friend of ours, recently sent us this awesome tidbitz! May this bittidz provide a tidbit of wisdom, understanding, encouragement, and knowledge to whomever seeks a righteous path.

Tidbit - Psalm 91: verses 1-4
- "He who dwells in the shelter of he Most High,
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
- I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and
my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!"
- For it is He who delivers you from the
snare of the trapper,
And from the deadly pistilence.
- He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark."

The title of Psalm 91, is 'Security of the One Who Trusts in the Lord." The other 12 verses in the chapter, are also majestically powerful! Small wonder David, was 'a man after God's own heart!' The Psalms, plus other Old Testament Books and New Testament Books in the Bible IS the source for The WORD and TRUTH.

Bittid - Be strong and steadfast in your Prayers each and every day. Even when you do not feel like Praying, Pray all the more! If you are at a loss of words, just simply THANK HIM! It is amazing how much better you instantly feel when you say THANK YOU to Christ! It is as if a huge burden has been relinquished and expelled from your heart! The more you Seek Him, and read the Bible, you grow in daily wisdom and understanding; and in the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5: 22 to 26).

Generosity of Spirit!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Today is a gorgeous day; albeit very cold temperatures. My heart goes out to all those areas that are being inundated with snow, ice storms, blizzards, horribly cold temperatures etc. At least we have sunshine and we are not without power.

Shadow loved his 'sweater coat' and it kept him nice and warm on his walk this morning. It is actually a black jersey type sweater (one of my favourites) but hey, I can only wear one sweater / jersey at a tid time. So, this is extra special to give it away to Shadow.

Am appreciating my cup(s) of coffee, and at the same time, can hear the little chickadees contentedly chirping away! Also, I found a bittid Christmas 'treasure' in one of the boxes that I finally unpacked, when I was decluttering 'stuff.' A small heating tray that my Mum enjoyed to keep her pot of tea warm. Well, this bittidz tray is now in use for the coffee pot! Happy memories of my Mum etc, and Blessings abound! My Mum was one who loved Christmas; and she instilled that in me as well!

The photo image of the turkey really speaks to my spirits and taste buds! It looks so good; and may we have a tidbitz turkey this Christmas. There is something special about cooking up a turkey, with all its wonderful tidbit trimmings! Apart from the festiveness of the meal, the turkey and its ensembles, provide for many a delicious leftover meal. Even more important, depending on the size of the turkey, we have always enjoyed giving a few plates and / or turkey soup to those less fortunate. (We know what it is like to be without; and empathy, compassion, and understanding is so vital).

Tidbit - Your weaknesses / circumstances become strengths. Turn everything over to Him. He IS our Refuge and Strength.

Bittid - Joy comes from within. When you invite the Holy Spirit into your heart, you change. Let the Holy Spirit Direct your path to victory!

This morning, I enthusiastically watched the Kenneth Copeland ministry. He is excellent with his empowering message! Will be appreciating other ministries today, as well.

Forgiveness

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Eventhough it is very cold, was able to appreciate a beaufiful sunset a bittid earlier! The colours in the sky were awesome! Another one of His wonderful Blessings!

We found one of my old sweaters and made a jacket of sorts for Shadow, the 19 month 'mini horse,' who we have been looking after. He was very good with the fitting; and he appears to be very appreciative. Methinks animals know when you genuinely care about them. I have shared a few tidbits about Shadow in some earlier posts.

A very dear friend of ours, sent us the following message, from the Andrew Wommack Ministries. A thank you to him and here it is! Hope you find it enlightening!

"ACCEPT THE GIFT OF FORGIVENESS

Luke 23:34 "Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."

Forgiveness of sins is one of the great themes of the Bible. There is so much that scripture says about it that it would take volumes of books to adequately deal with the subject. It will suffice to say that the blood of Jesus is what provided us with forgiveness of sins. That sacrifice was so great that it outweighed all our sins. It covered all the sins of the world-past, present, and future.

Most Christians have the concept that the sins they committed before they professed faith in Christ are forgiven at salvation, but any sins that are committed after that time are not forgiven until they repent and ask for forgiveness. This is not the case.

All our sins: past, present, and future were forgiven through the one offering of Jesus. If God can't forgive future sins, then none of us can be saved because Jesus only died once, nearly 2,000 years ago, before we had committed any sins. All our sins have been forgiven.

The forgiveness of our sins is not the ultimate goal of our salvation. It is just a necessary step. The real goal of salvation is relationship with the Father and sin is a barrier to that relationship. So, it had to be dealt with, and it was, through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. But those who stop with the forgiveness of sins and don't go on into eternal life are missing the heart of salvation. Our sins have been forgiven so that we may enter into intimacy with the Lord.

It is through the riches of God's grace that we have received forgiveness for our sins. There is nothing we can do to obtain forgiveness except humble ourselves and receive forgiveness as a gift through faith in Christ.

This is a special time of year, to celebrate the Birth of Christ, and to be grateful for our Blessings, that He Provides us. Also, to have understanding and help those who are less fortunate.

The above photo is of Shadow (taken at the end of October); and he thinks he is a tidbit person! LOL! (our patio chair is now practically too small for him!). We enjoy the daily bittids we experience with him. Shadow is a Blessing; and he radiates a joyful enthusiasm to all he meets!
