Seeking God is the beginning of Wisdom!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

This morning, I watched and listened to Dr. Charles Stanley and his message, on 'Wisdom In The Midst of Trials' is absolutely tidbitz right on! My strong suggestion is for those of you are experiencing 'trials and tribulations', and or who know of people who are, 'Pay it forward' to them by tuning into a wonderful 55 minute video. And / or if you are simply curious, Dr. Stanley provides solid teachings of encouragement and comfort. An appreciative 'Thank you!' to him.

This enlightening video, with its tidbits on Wisdom, is 'music to one's ears.' Enjoy a coffee, or whatever tid beverage you choose, and 'drink in' this awesome message to the fullest! It could be life changing!

Tidbit - Dr. Stanley refers to 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4
Verse 3 -"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort;
Verse 4 - who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

There was an interesting email question posed to Dr. Stanley about Heaven; and those who are already there, are they watching and seeing all the bittid 'goings on' of earthly strife and pain? No, there are no tears shed in Heaven; because those who do not make it to Heaven, will not be missed. Therefore, no sadness will be experienced, as there will be no bittidz rememberances of loved ones, who do not end up at that eternal address.
Revelation 21, verse 5 - And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true."

I then also appreciated watching and listening to 'Faith To Live By' by Dr. H.H. Barber. I would also recommend you listen to this program. Plus the music provided by the singers and the pianist, are inspiring! A heartfelt 'Thank you,' Dr. Barber.

Also, our same special friend, in yesterday's post, who passed on the wonderful tidbit video to us about Billy Graham, also wrote a poem; which I will include in today's post. Thank you again, to him!

The title of his poem, is 'To the Agnostic.' Well, methinks that even to those who are not agnostic, should sit up, be aware, and take notice! Very true bittids!

Bitid - As Dr. Stanley shares, Trust and Believe in Christ and Rejoice! Know that your circumstances are 'tests' to purify and build 'character.' Perserverance! Know that God has a Purpose and a good Plan for you.

In closing, Hebrews 13 is an awesome chapter, from start to finish! The bit verse 25: "Grace be with you all." is the way of it!
Christ says: "Love one another, as I have loved you."

It is a very overcast day; but I am thankful that it is Saturday and that it is the Rememberance Day Long Weekend. We are thankful to all those, who fought and died for our Freedom. We will take time to remember all those who gave of their lves to provide us with the lives we have now.

We have had a couple of interesting days; and Blessings have been comng forth, NON STOP!! Hurrah! "Praise Him in ALL Things!" Also, as of bittidz late, when I seem to be thinking of something, all of a sudden it happens!!! To the good! One of them, was a video from a wonderful friend and a BIG THANK YOU to him. He knows who he is; and he is a very special person!

To give you a bit of tidbitz.

I have a favourte program I normally watch (when I can). ie. 'Murder She Wrote' starring Angela Lansbury. Well, on Thursday and Friday aftenoon, the program was not on the Vision Channel. Instead, it was Billy Graham.

To recap a bittid. On Thursday, for some reason, I had been thinking about great people who have made a huge impact / difference in the world. Well, the name that came immediately to me, was Billy Graham! I had been wondering about him; and did not even know whether he was still living UNTIL I saw him on the TV - right then and there, at that very tid moment! I believe the program carried through to yesterday; as it may have been a repeat / continuation from Thursday. I never really knew much about Billy Graham and had 'all of a sudden' a need to know! There are no coincidences! All I could and still say, is WOW!

Early this morning, was when we received the video from our kind friend. Well worth the 30 minutes! Wish it was longer; as the tidbit minutes flew by! I really enjoyed and appreciated the video, and I teared up as I watched it. Did not need a refill for my coffee. The tears were enough!

Loved the setting; ie. Billy Graham's wonderfully warm home, beautiful lush green scenery etc. A calm and peaceful feeling came over me and has not left. Am going to include the video. 'The Cross' in this post. May thee be some like me, who will be uplifted and encouraged to 'keep on trekking' everyday in Faith and Trust in Christ. A major heartfelt THANK YOU to Billy Graham for his awesome insights and empowering messages!

Billy Graham has touched my heart and understanding. Wow! As our friend shares, 'Billy Graham is 95 years old now. A tremendous man of God.'

Tidbit - Please MAKE the time to watch the inspiring video, 'The Cross.' If you do, you have nothing to lose; but all to gain! You will find your life changes, for the better! Invite Christ into your heart! Know that He LOVES you!

Bittid - "Ask and Ye shall receive." "Seek and Ye shall find." "Knock and a door shall be opened unto you." This is all true!!!! When you invite Christ into your heart, He never leaves you and you are indwelt by the Holy Spirit!

Seeking Wisdom and Understanding

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

We have been given an extra hour today. (turning back of the clocks). An hour to enjoy an extra bit of rest! No rushing about etc. Just calmly and peacefully going 'with the flow.' It is a beautiful sunny day! Appreciatively enjoyed my two morning cups of coffee, that Alan always makes for me.

In the morning I tuned into the Joy10 T.V. and watched 'In Touch Ministries.' Dr. Stanley's message: "In Search of Wisdom" is so impactful! (Plus I really enjoyed the choir singing 'All Is well, with my soul.' What a great song to begin the day!).

There are no coincidences! ie. In yesterday's post, The Power of Prayer! Have the Faith to Keep on Praying! re: wisdom etc.

Today, Dr. Stanley shares a number of verses re: Wisdom.
Proverbs 2: 1-7; Proverbs 8:17; Proverbs 4: 10 & 11; Proverbs 5:1; Proverbs 9:10;
James 1:5; Proverbs 6:6; Proverbs 12:15; Proverbs 15:31; Porverbs 19:20; Proverbs 13:30; Ecclesiastes 8:1; Ecclesiastes 2:26; Ecclesiastes 10:10; and Matthew 28:19.

Methinks, for those of you, who are are Seeking Christ and Seeking Wisdom and Understanding, best to take the tidbit iniative to read those powerful verses! They are all illuminating and awesome! They all 'speak' to me! I am going to reread Proverbs;, as well as other Bible passages; as there is always so much to learn!

Tidbit - Proverbs 9:10 - "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."

Bittid - Ecclesiastes 8:1 - "Who is like the wise man and who knows the interpretation of a matter? A man's wisdom illuminates him and causes his stern face to beam." I love that 'shining' and enlightening verse!

Dr. Stanley also shares his appreciative enthusiasm and love for nature and animals; as well as his enjoyment of photography. He marvels in God's wonderful creations! Also, his stories about the mother eagle, as well the mother red cardinal, is heartwarming! My suggestion is to check out his website! http://www.intouch.org/ .

Alan and I just took Shadow out for a walk (his second walk today!) as it is such a lovely day and the autumn air is so tidbitz fresh! Quite the contrast from yesterday! However, I was appreciative for the rain, as it provided a bittidz of refreshment and rest.

When we were out with Shadow, I joyfully kept thinking about Proverbs 10:10 - "If the axe is dull and he does not sharpen its edge, then he must exert more strength. Wisdom has the advantage of giving success."

Just took two tid photos. One of our tree in its red majestic beauty! (Most of the trees surrounding us, are relatively bare). The second picture is of our ever thriving Braveheart plants, that have sprung up from bittid scattered seeds! So, we are all the more appreciative of these wonderful Blessings of His Creation!

The Power of Prayer! Have the Faith to Keep on Praying!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It is Saturday; and a typical, cloudy, rainy and blustery fall day. Feels like Novenber. LOL! The leaves on the trees, which were once a vivid red, are now turning a yellowish colour, and before too long, there will be no or very few leaves.

A good day to stay indoors methinks, and also to reflect a wee bit.

Have already covered tid topics, in previous posts; but again, would like to stress that family is very important. (Also, you can refer to Pastor John Hagee, www.jhm.org‎ as he is 'right on!'). Am not going to regurgitate past bittid matters; but our door is always open to those, who wish to start afresh. We are Prayful, that in time, there will be reconciliation for all. Life is too fleetingly short. I compare this to leaves; here one day and gone the next.

I mentioned a bit earlier that we are looking forward to Christmas. Like a 'little child,' I always look forward to Christmas; however, this year, we will have Shadow with us! We have been making some movement to clear out the garage so that there is more bittidz space. Do not think we will ever get our car in there though! LOL! However, with less clutter, I can get to the decorations. Will only put out a few.

What is most meaningful, is celebrating the Birth of Christ and the Gift of Grace, He offers to us all; and thus, being extra thankful for our Blessings.

Not sure how or with whom, we will be spending our Christmas this year; but we will appreciate its special significance.

Have been reading the Bible a lot and to those who read the Bible, it brings much comfort! Nothing has changed! ie. The Bible is the living word and the words of wisdom are as equally relevant and inspirational today, tomorrow, and yesterday.

As a mother, I love my family dearly. However, what is also important is a 'spiritual love.' As Christ says: "Love one another, as I have loved you." Alan and I are prayful that in time (before it is too late; compare again, to the leaves), that relationships will be mended; with everyone putting their best foot forward.

Yesterday afternoon, I 'happened' to turn on the T.V. and fell across 'The 700 Club Canada' and it was excellent! (The 700 Club Canadawww.700club.ca)

I had never tuned into that program until yesterday; but I will now! Hosts Brian Warren and Laura Lynn Tyler Thompson share about the 'Power of Prayer' and having Faith, and that God intervenes! One of the video clips is about 'Worrying'. Basically "Throw your worries into the Arms of God."

Interestingly enough, I had been mulling and turning over and over various tidbitz thoughts. As in Peter 5:7 ' casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.' That is the truth of it. In other words, as Laura Lynn says: " God can turn circumstances around in a moment."

So I say an appreciative thank you to both of them, for that reinforcement of reassurance! No coincidence here, folks! May their message(s) be of tidbit encouragement to those of you who are experiencing angst, worries, and who have questions as well.

Tidbit - "Be anxious for nothing' but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6. I say this powerful verse outloud everyday! It is amazing how 'good cheer' permeates right through you!

Bittid - "Have a mind of understanding and a hearing heart" or words to that effect, shared by Dr. Creflo Dollar. When the Holy Spirit lives within you, you are guided and directed to have a mind of wisdom and understanding, as well as a heart that is open and receptive to hear! It is one thing to read the words in the Bible; but more prudently, to hear and gain wisdom and understanding from the words.

After I enjoyed 'The 700 Club Canada', I 'found' the Creflo Dollar Ministries; and I also recommend this enlighteing ministry.

We will not give up hope! We will continue to pray daily for those we love (as well for the Holy Spirit to lead us); and our door will always be open, when they are ready. As in 'turning over a new leaf', and at the same time, being all the more appreciative of the precious life we have all been given by Christ.

Also, another tidbit - Always best to look for the best in others. You never know when a gentle smile, a word of encouragement, and / or random acts of kindness, how this may impact / uplift a person's life (even a total stranger).

Also, I am grateful and thankful for all the ministries who go out of their way, to provide messages of hope and encouragement, as well as 'Spreading the message of the Good News!'

Tonight, if there is stil enough remnants from Alan's homemade turkey soup from Thanksgiving, we will appreciate these delicious leftover tidbits for our dinner. We have been enjoying the soup for many a day, however, if there is not enough to squeeze for another meal, then Shadow will be the happy recipient! LOL! We have been giving him bittids of the turkey soup, mixed in with his meal, anyway. So if there is a lack with the provision of soup, Alan will creatively and simply put together a repas / supper from the 'kitchen sink.' LOL! However, the soup would be perfect on a day like this!

We have saved a little tid of red wine and tonight, we will say a 'Skal to Absent Friends.' The Skal is an old stoic Norwegian custom that when someone has passed away and / or is not able to be present, there is a raising of the glass, followed by the stalwart toast, "Skal to Absent Friends.' Alan and I have many in mind to toast a Skal to. ie. To those who have passed away and those who are still living.

In closing, life is too short; and to repeat, as Jesus says: "Love one another as I have loved you."

Have Steadfast Hope!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

We are definitely now into the Fall weather. Rain! However, we remain appreciative for the wonderful sunny weather that we received, for most of October. Can not believe however, that November is here tomorrow! On November 3rd, we turn our clocks back an hour; which will be a bit of extra 'sleep in' for all those concerned! Including Shadow! LOL! And, before you know it, it will be Christmas!

We have been gradually clearing out our garage etc and we look forward to putting up some tidbitz Christmas decorations! This Christmas is going to be extra tidbit special!

We have many Blessings to be thankful for! ie. Yesterday, one of our neighbours gave us a large dog bed, as they had purchased a new one for their good sized dog. Shadow is like a 'mini horse' in size now, at 18 months tomorrow, and is still growing! So, this large bed is awesome and Shadow loves it!

Another neighbour returned our containers of turkey soup that Alan made after Thanksgiving, and he reiterated, that it was the very best bittidz soup he had ever tasted. along with a thank you note!

Tidbit - Go out of your way to be a genuine Blessng to others! Be it with a gentle smile, a word of encouragement, and / or random acts of kindness. It does make a positive difference, of 'paying it forward' to all those you meet.

Bittid - Be appreciative and thankful for each and every day! Keep things simple, and 'Praise Him in all things;' at the start of the day, throughout the day, and before you fall asleep!

Last night, I was 'Directed' to a passage in the Bible from Psalm 145: 17 to 21. These wonderfully inspiring verses jumped right out at me!
17 - The Lord is righteous in all His ways, and kind in all His deeds.
18 - The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.
19 - He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and wlll save them.
20 - The Lord keeps all who love Him; But all the wicked, He will destroy.
21 - My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord; And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever.

I also enjoyed reading Psalms 145 to 150! I received particular strength and comfort from Verse 18 - re: 'calling upon Him in truth'; and in Verse 20 re: 'the wicked, He will destroy.'

The photo is of Shadow. Our patio chair is a bittid too small for him; however, he enjoys sitting there, as if he is 'lord muck.' LOL!

In Remembrance of a Special Person!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It is a gorgeous sunny Sunday! The colours of Autumn are outstanding!

Today, I wish to honour a special person, dear to my heart, who passed away one bittid year ago. I remember him for his good points and I learned quite a bit from him. We always got along and I know he held me in high regard, as well.

We all have our weaker points; yet I choose to remember the 'kind' side of him. That being said, he may have also been misunderstood at tid times. He did have a 'generosity of spirit' and I know he helped and provided for many.

So, 'Skal to Absent Friends', with a cup of coffee! When I have a glass of wine to enjoy, I will raise my glass to him.

Tidbit - Life is like a 'fishing' expedition. This reminds me when Christ (Matthew 4:19) at the beginning of His Ministry, said: "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." We all have a choice - be it to follow Christ or not.

Bittid - I would like to believe that this man chose to follow Christ, even if it was at the latter stages of his life.

Speaking of fishing, when I was a child, my Dad used to take me, fishing. We would be up early in the summer mornings and would be back a few hours later with a salmon (a grills) and cook it up for breakfast, along with some fried eggs over the fireplace spit. It was the best; and I am grateful for the ' fishing' lessons of 'life' that my Dad passed on to me. The basics! Much to be thankful for!

The man I am remembering today, believed very much also, in the bittidz basics. So, here is an appreciative Thank you, for the tidbitz time that I knew him.

I was looking for a wonderful photo image, that would best describe a restful and a gentle setting re: the tidbit message. Methinks this is it! Thank you, to the photographer, who took this beautiful picture!

Uplift others!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It has been a rather interesting bit few days! The time has zoomed by! That being said, Alan and I are very thankful for all the Blessings that have been coming our way! We have had quite a few Blessings, within the last short tid while! We are looking back and reflecting upon His Grace and Goodness towards us! He (Our Father) has guided and directed us through a number of bittidz situations! Thank you to Him! We are thankful!

Today, we had to drive into town and wow! We thought the fog out here was pretty major! However, there, it was quite awesome, methinks! Seeing the city buildings rising up through the fog; looked like the makings of a 'Sci Fi movie!' On our drive, we realized how gorgeous a part of the world we live in! Again, we are thankful! 'Praise Him in ALL things!'

We also went to Costco. A woman, who is employed by Costco, was giving out samples, and she struck a bittid chord within me. I mentioned to her that my husband really thought the sample was good; as he does not say that too often. Her comment was, 'well, he sounds just like my husband.' Then she went on and mentioned that she was dying her hair to look younger and hopefully her husband would notice. I then said, 'well, if this is of any help, I am letting my hair do its own thing as to whatever colour it takes on!' She immediately replied, that: 'I was 'quite an attractive woman, and that I could easily get away with it, and that I would look awesome / even better!' (FYI, I now have a major patch of white in the front! LOL!) She then went on to say, that she was not so sure that she could get away with it; and therefore, she felt she needed to dye her hair to look younger. I had immediate empathy for her, and suggested that she should not worry about it. 'Foget about it!' as in Hugh Grant, in the movie, 'Mickey Blue Eyes.' LOL! Well, we concluded the conversation and I moved on. (By the way, she was excellent in her sample presentation!) But then, something strongly said to me, 'Go back!' So, I did! I told her: 'Your husband is lucky to have you!" Well, she practically burst into tears! But I knew, it made a difference and impacted her to feel better about herself. For that matter, it made me feel good as well!

Today, was a day, that I 'felt' / sensed more people than ever. I just 'knew' that they had an ache (and even where), or were sad (or sour) or just not plain feeling well. I made various tidbitz comments and they all agreed. Like it blew me away! Alan then pointed out, that the more one gets in touch with Him, the more 'discernment' we are given; and that is exactly what happened today!

Tidbit - BE a Blessing to others. Forget about your own circumstances. You feel all the better when you uplift someone else!

Bittid - BE joyful! Again, regardless of your situations! Like, truly, no one really cares. So, just BE! With Christ as your Conductor! HE CARES!

To sum things up, the events of today were well worth waiting for! Psalm 46:10 says: "Be still and know that I am God." That is very tidbit true!
