Opening a new door!

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of thw world!

Have not written til now; been a full tidbitz day! Am not sure what to say; save the TRUTH of it. We 'discovered' that the errors / ommisions made (please refer to the last few posts), have already done their bittidz damage. The person was clearly not accurate in the interpretation; and chose it to be of their own 'perogative'. Glad Alan was in touch with two major 'pooh bahs'; and they agreed with us, that the proper service was not given. So, we will be taking a firm stand against the injustice that we have recently encountered. When you genuinely know something is not right, do not be 'lukewarm'; because if one is, things never change.

We have been 'learning tidbit lessons' along the way. Even with a couple of people we 'trusted'. Hmmmmm. Maybe, we were just being 'too nice' and giving 'them' the benefit of the doubt. We are Praying (not babbling) that He shows us the Way; as 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light'. We believe that He has a better plan for us; as per His Will and His Purpose. The interesting bittid thing is, that we are feeling very calm and confident that He, does indeed, have a better plan for us. (That goes for each and every one of us!)

Tonight, we are going to 'sleep on things'; as we will be making a major choice tomorrow. We have been 'let down' (again - not complaining here; just an observation); and yet, I feel 'stronger' and more courageous within! 'If push comes to shove', I have no problem at all, on making a key tidbit decision. Alan and I have been more concerned about others; (which is good); BUT, but.....hello....So now it may be easier to simply proceed - in another direction, which has more positive implications. We have Asked Him for Guidance; and to 'Show us the Way'; and that if 'One door closes, another door shall open'. So be it, as that may be part of His Purpose! We are thankful we can 'sleep on things'; and depending on what does or does not occur tomorrow, we will make our minds up, forthwith.

Earlier I said 'The Lord's Prayer'; and we are grateful for 'Give us this day, our Daily Bread' - He did so! Eventhough, we have gone through some very trying bittid circumstances; we know that God ANSWERS ALL Prayers. Even if He Answers with a NO, or there are 'unexplained' delays (which we have experienced in abundance), I can now turn it around immediately thinking, "Thank You, Our Father, You have something FAR BETTER / GREATER in mind for us. We Trust you completely; so we will Abide and Rest in You. You have a wonderful Solution; and we know it will be Provided!" He wants us 'To dream big and come BOLDLY before Him!' We all 'grow (uniquely and at differnt times) in our walk with Him'; and through our various tidbitz experiences, we all gain a better understanding and appreciation of Him. I know, that Alan and I have certainly had a few 'eye openers'.

Alan and I are continuing on with 'GOOD CHEER'; and this is where, more than bittidz ever, one must remember to genuinely 'PRAISE HIM IN ALL THINGS!' We are thankful for our 'Daily Bread' today; as He Provided our meal - quite literally. Plus, we SKAL with a glass of red wine from South Africa!

Tidbit - Do NOT Give up! Simply turn all the more to Him, and THANK HIM! TRUST in Him completely.

Have been reading the Bible, listening and watching the Vision Channel; and methinks, that one just needs to have the 'unwavering Faith / Trust' in Him, that He Prevails and Provides; even if things take a tid longer! It is all in His time; not ours.

Bittid - Instead of being negative (when things appear to take longer to resolve etc), 'turn it around' to the 'power of positive thinking'. The best way to not let the devil gain a 'foot hold' or a 'strangle hold' on you, is to BE JOYFULLY STRONG, UPBEAT, knowing that HE (Christ) HAS ALREADY OVERCOME THE WORLD. FEAR NOT! With Him, ALL things ARE possible! ALWAYS!

'What you see is what you get.' As mentioned, there have been a few bit 'indicators' that have not been positive for us; so I am thinking: "Okay, He definitely has something much better in mind!" Thus, I / we are infilled with an enthusiastic hope, that perhaps, He is opening a new door!' I love the above enlightening photo image!

Peace and God Bless.

Take heart and have hope

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Today has been a really restful and refreshing tidbitz of a day. Was up early this morning, took Blue out for his walk, and then enjoyed my elixir of coffee, whilst I embraced the Vision Channel. The programs provide such empowering teachings. Hope to share a few bittids from them, within these next few days.

This afternoon, I appreciated a gentle fire; while I read the passages that the three International Bible Teachers imparted in their T.V. messages. A few of the verses really jumped out at me! ie. Philippians 4:13 - " I can do all things through Him who strengthens me" and, Colossians 3:16 - " Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you; with all wisdom: teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God". I like the word 'richly'; and, indeed, the Bible IS Truth. The Bible's quality teachings and life's lessons, are every bit as applicable today. I look forward to daily reading the Bible; to appreciatively learn more and more of The Word and Christ! 'He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT'.

I love the above photo image of 'Seek and Ye Shall Find'. Open your heart and invite Him in. Again, here are the three ministries, with their inspiring websites for you, to gain a better understanding and clarity of Jesus Christ and the Bible. ie. 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org); 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org); and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca). Thank you to them, as well as to other ministries, who enlighten all those 'who seek'. ie. By giving of their solid insights, genuine encouragement, and helpful resources.

Alan had a relaxing rest today; inasmuch, we have a full week coming up. We are anticipating a positive outcome tomorrow or Tuesday. Will keep you posted, when we have more tidbits to share.

Hope you enjoyed a nice Sunday. We all have many awesome Blessings to be thankful for! Methinks we will be seeing our bed a tid sooner tonight; as we will be having an early bittidz start in the morning.

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

Enjoying being home

Good Evening,

It has been a very dark, dreary day and now a black night. I had to go out earlier this afternoon; and ended up buying a lotto ticket. As the tid expression goes: 'If you don't buy a ticket, you don't win'. Hmmmmm. Guess that is true enough.

Sad to say, our downstairs sinks are clogged? ie. The two kitchen sinks and our wee powder room sink for the last day or so. We have been utilizing 'Draino'; and hopefully, that will work out / cut the grease or whatever is emeshed in the pipes. Was able to find a 'recipe' for declogging sinks with grease (should have taken the name of the person who recommended that idea; and now I can not find the name to give him the credit!) We have not tried his 'recipe' as of yet; but it certainly makes sense to us; as we already have the stand by 'ingredients' at home. Apparently, baking soda, coca cola etc are also bit suggestions from other sources. Here is the 'recipe' to help unclog grease (ie bacon fat etc).

"Things You'll Need:
4-quart kettle
1 quart water
2 cups vinegar
1 cup salt
dish soap
2- to 4-cup measuring cup
rubber gloves

Step 1
Put on the rubber gloves and remove excess water from clogged sink with your measuring cup.

Step 2
Heat up water, vinegar and salt until it boils. Remove it from heating service and pour into clogged drain. The brine mixture breaks down oil and fats naturally. The process may take several minutes, depending on the amount of grease plugging your drain. If your sink is a double unit, running hot water from the tap down the other drain causes a suction that will aid the clog to come loose.

Step 3
Once clog is dissolved, run hot water from the tap combined with dish soap for about 2 minutes. This helps to remove any grease residue that may remain in the pipes, and leaves an acceptable scent from your drain."

Never did get a chance to light a tidbitz fire ( a 3 hour firelog) and curl up, as per my earlier post of today. However, am looking forward to appreciating the cosy fire setting / ambience tomorrow afternoon! Other bittidz matters surfaced; ie clogged drains. Will let you know, how that works out! LOL!

Also, we received the bittid ammendments / corrections this morning; so it is just a matter of having the info relayed to the appropriate party, digested, and then a tidbit response; Prayfully favourable! We are optimistic there will be a positive outcome! As I mentioned earlier, we are leaving everything up to Him; as it is all in in His Hands, in Accordance with His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan.

We hope too, there is a good movie(s) on tonight; as we are thankful to be home for the night; and not having to go out anywhere. Am sure some of you, can relate! Also, Alan continues to rest (he slept in til 12:15 pm today; the pain killers have been extremely soothing); so this is a good quiet night of restful respite. Love the above friendly photo image; it radiates such a welcoming warmth, methinks! Skal, with a glass of red wine! (South African!)

Here is wishing you a nice evening, Peace, and God Bless.

Rest

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Glad it is the weekend! (again! LOL!) Just returned from taking our Blue out for his morning constitution, in the pouring rain. Ran into a few neighbours along the way. Funny, I had been thinking about these two separate neighbours; so by seeing them was / is no coincidence! Our walk was that much more enjoyable, after chatting with them in the rain! Blue and I are now really appreciating our warm and dry abode; Blue having been fed his breakfast, and me, with my elixir of coffee! It is a perfect tidbitz day to stay indoors, 'Rest' (in Him), and reflect upon our Blessings, He has Given us. Alan is still sound asleep; however, rest is what is needed to encourage a strong recovery. Alan literally has to have his leg raised up on pillows; and thus, is quite limited for the next few days.

We 'jumped through some more hoops' on Thursday and Friday; and alas, more delays; due to bittidz errors and some ommisions created by the professional responsible. We have asked for the worthy ammendments; so things are still 'in limbo'. We are hopeful, however, that by Monday / Tuesday, our concerns will be put to right (or to 'rest').

We are just stepping back and taking some tid 'time out'. We are leaving it all to Him to work everything through, According to His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan. I know He has a good Plan for each and every one of us. Even this latest 'mix up', may prove to be a better Plan! Alan and I have a positive outlook; and hence, 'Praise Him In ALL Things'.

Tidbit - Best to just keep 'on trekking'; and never give up. Simply RELY upon Him to 'show you the way'; and while you wait for His Direction and Guidance, be of GOOD CHEER and enjoy each and every day, as it unfolds.

Bittid - There are 'reasons' for delays; and they may even be 'Blessings in disguise'. Plus, at the end of the day, when you give Him genuine Thanks for having made it through the day, you will enjoy a peaceful night's rest. He does not want us to be 'angst' or fret about tomorrow; and yesterday has already passed; so it is the PRESENT - ie. TODAY, that we must appreciatively focus on. Christ wants us to FOCUS upon Him, and to give Him our best, one day at at a time, on a day by day basis. Far less stress when you daily release all your Burdens upon Him, and let Him Provide you with the 'restful refuge' of Solution.

Hope this gives you some tidbits of encouragement. Also, am looking forward to watching the Vision Channel tomorrow morning; as they offer such wonderful insights and solid Biblical teachings. ie. 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org); 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org); and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca). Will share some bittids from their uplifting programs; but methinks, it is better for you, to tune into them (and other ministries), for your own personal bit of clarity and understanding. Also, if you wish, you can refer to yesterday's tidbit post and / or some earlier posts, to give you a bittid of background.

Here is wishing you a nice 'R & R ' weekend. Am looking forward also, to lighting a fire and curling up with a good book. ie. The Bible! Plus, our Blueheeler, Blue, ('His Royal Highness', we xometimes refer to him as! LOL!) will be snuggling up beside me on the sofa as well. Yes, we let him up on the love seat; and he has his own pillow, that he happily lays his head upon.

The two photos (have been pictured in recent posts), are of our fireplace hearth, as well as Alan and our five year young 'pup'; whom we also call at times, 'Sir Blue'. LOL!

Peace and God Bless.

Tranquil and reflective moments

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Yesterday was a full day. Eventhough it would appear that Alan's surgery went well, he is in a great deal of pain; now that the freezing has worn off. His knee was very painful yesterday; even with the prescribed pain killers etc. However, he did manage to have his leg raised for most of the day; in between tid exercises that he has been suggested to do. Alan will be seeing the doctor next week; and then physio will begin shortly thereafter.

Other bit matters were attended to yesterday, to determine what takes place today and over the next few days. There have been more bittidz challenges; and one has to wonder whether, 'Is this all worth it?' However, we will know more in a short while; and then a major tidbitz decision will have to be made. We would like to think we will receive positive news; and then we will run with it! And then, yes, it will be all worth it! However, we do have other options to pursue, if need be.

Tidbit - When everything is 'overwhelming', just step back, take a deep breath, Thank Him for your Blessings, cast your burdens upon Him, and Ask Him to Guide your path, as 'He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT'. You do feel as if a huge weight has been lifted from your heart. Rest and Abide in Him.

Bittid - When things appear to be at a 'standstill', just 'wait' - patiently, with a calm confidence, knowing He has a better plan for you. Continue to hope, trust, and be of good thankful cheer!

Eventhough our Prayers have not been answered as quickly etc as we would like, we believe with all our heart, body, mind, and soul, that He has an even better Plan for us. It may be that all the hoops we have gone through (and there have been many), have prepared us for something far greater. Alan and I take stock in those tidbit thoughts, knowing He will Provide a Solution, According to His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan.

Before I got up this morning, I had a quiet 'Prayer Dialogue' with Him; 'Praised Him in All Things', and Asked for the Holy Spirit to indwell within Alan and I; and to use us, According to His Will. I also joyfully Asked with grateful anticipation, for good things to happen today! Again, all According to His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan. That last sentence, is a major ephifany to me; as it IS According to His Will, NOT ours.

Earlier, took our 'pup', Blue for his morning walk. It is cold and crisp (frost on the roof tops); but a beautiful clear day, nonetheless. It felt wonderfully good to breathe in the fresh air and a enjoy brisk walk; and now I am appreciating my elixir of coffee, as well as bringing you up to date a bittid. Alan is still in bed; best place for him at the tid moment. Methinks, 'rest' is best for him. My Dad used to say, that 'sleep is the best' way to encourage recovery and healing.

For those of you, who celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, hope you all had a gracious one. We treat each and every day, as a 'mini thanksgiving'; as there are many Blessings to be Thankful for!

The picture is from my November 3rd post, 'The Beauty of Prayer'. Am glad I took the fleeting moments to photograph the glorious foliage, as now our little tree is bare. Will keep you posted, when I have a bit more to share.

Peace and God Bless.

Surgery was successful!

Good Evening,

Yahoo! The surgery appears to have been successful; or at least that is what the top surgeon has said. I think I was in a 'worse state' than Alan. Even our Blue was despondent about his 'Dad'. LOL! After I dropped him off at the hospital (only patients allowed in the pre op centre), I was a bittid of a 'nervous wreck'. I knew the operation was going to work out; however, I felt a tid at loose ends. I ended up going to get a few groceries (soups, crackers, light food) and ran into a few friends. They were not feeling their best; and when I left them, they were in better spirits, mehopes. Then I came home; and it was as if I was being Guided to REST; so I did, gratefully.

Basically, Alan and I are in a 'waiting' mode re: our projects. So there was nothing more that could have been accomplished by me today; save 'resting and abiding in Him'. That to me, was also what the 'doctor ordered'; and I am glad I 'heeded' His tidbit advice. When I received the phone call from the hospital to pick Alan up, I was refreshed and optimistic! He does not require crutches; and he is able to limp about, even without the use of a cane. Mind you, the freezing is still in. Now, the tidbitz trick is, to make sure that he does not do too much, let alone, too soon. So, I feel as if I might have to be a bit of a 'sargent drill major', to enforce him to stay off his feet and to keep his foot propped up. LOL! A bittidz of exercise is good; but not too much for these next five to seven days.

We are going to enjoy some pea soup tonight; to me, pea soup hits the spot; particularly when one is weary or a tid run down. Just as well as the operation was today; as opposed to tomorrow; as this gives us the next two days to follow up with any loose ends. The other day, we went to Costco; so our larder is relatively full!

We have much to be thankful for! Glad now it is the evening and we can rest! Love the above photo image! Perhaps I am just a tid worn down; and the 'rest' will certainly be a wonderful respite. As I mentioned in today's earlier bit post, we seek Refuge and Strength in Him; and, we are leaving everything to Him to work out, in Accordance with His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan.

My son just popped in for a bittid visit (and a sandwich - made by Alan); he and I are both surprised at how well Alan is handling his post operative surgery. Once again, a bit of the freezing is still in; so it may be a different story later tonight and / or tomorrow. However, he is armed with some pain tidbit killers, if need be.

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

Rest in Him

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world.

The last two days have rapidly flown! We have been getting as much done as possible before Alan's surgery which is today. As I may have mentioned, the surgeon will do his best; but he will know more what is what, when he opens Alan up. Alan has been advised that the operation may be successful; however, if not, he will have to live with a constant chronic knee problem. Hope the well regarded surgeon is successful; as Alan, since the accident, has endured 27 months of major discomfort.

We have been directing our tidbitz efforts towards fruition of our projects by the end of this week, or early next week. We had hoped it would have all been achieved sooner; however, there have been further delays and some let downs. One avenue appears to be 'not on'; however, a 'door we thought shut', may open. In a tid, we have not left any 'stones unturned'. We have spent a great deal of time 'getting our ducts in order'; so that we are 'ready' to make a major decision, if need be.

As the expression goes: "It never rains, but it pours". Personally, I wish it was not all happening at once; inasmuch as Alan will be 'laid up' during everything else. However, with His Help and Guidance, there IS a Solution, According to His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan.

Will say, we have done our bittidz best; and now it is totally up to Him to Provide the rest. Maybe Alan's operation is a bit of a 'Blessing in disguise'. 'REST' may be an applicable word; as He IS our REFUGE and STRENGTH.

Tidbit - 'When one door closes, another door opens'.

Bittid - 'Seek and Ye Shall Find'. 'Rest in Him'; and be encouraged by ASKING Him for the Holy Spirit to GIVE you Understanding, Wisdom, Words of Wisdom, Discernment, Grace, the 'Fruits of the Spirit'; and to be used by Him for His use, The rest will unfold as per His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan.

Our Prayers appeared to have been answered - ie by 'delays'. Could even be a 'No'. ie A door closing; but then, there will be another door opening. We are not going to lose heart. Alan and I believe that He has a much better Plan than we even realize; so we will continue opptimistically forward, renewed with FAITH, HOPE, and TRUST; and to be full of GOOD CHEER. This is where we THANK Him for all our Blessings; and we genuinely "Praise Him In ALL Things". Plus, we 'cast all our burdens upon Him'. Am experiencing a calm and a confident expectation that something magnificently will unfold! Not sure when, but He has it all in hand. That is true for each and every one of us! We just have to have the courage to 'Wait Upon the Lord'.

It is pouring with rain and a miserable dark yucky day. However, I am extremely grateful for the rain today; as it is gently soothing and reviving my weary bittid spirits. Am also appreciating my 'elixir' of coffee; now into my second cup! Funnily enough, I have always needed my two cups of coffee; be it a small or large cup. Two is a major must! LOL!

We have already received a few tidbit phone calls, wishing Alan well today. Fortunately, we have a pair of crutches, which he will need to lean upon, when I pick him up. Methinks I am dropping him off at the hospital; only to return to pick him up at the end of the day. However, I will find out the procedure when I am there initially. There is a large parking lot; however, it is outrageously expensive. Many homes surround the hospital; so there is no nearby parking to be found; save for metered parking, several several blocks away.

Am Prayful that Alan's surgery will be a success; and am presently saying an Intercessary Prayer(s) for him in that regard. Love the above photo image!

Will keep you posted.

Peace and God Bless.

Generosity of Spirit!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Wow, is all I can say! Had a spectacular afternoon yesterday; went to a wonderful art exhibit and stayed for three hours! It was, indeed, a special time to be in touch with old friends, and meet new people. The artwork included unique lifelike animal sculptures, as well as elegant vases and lamps. We did not purchase anything yesterday; but we will do so, when the timing is better for us. My childhood chum was happy to see us; and he offered to be 'commissioned' to do up a piece for us. That is something we look forward to, at a later date; and again, when things are 'ship shape'; we will travel to their part of the world and pick up whatever artistic creation it will be. You can refer to yesterday's post, for a bittid of background. Both husband and wife have been Blessed with an awesome gift!

The warm home of our friends, is absoluting stunning and tastefully decorated; with beautiful dark woodwork / beams throughout the whole house! Exquisite contrasts of off white furniture, hardwood floors, rugs, etc. The windows and skylights provide magnificent unfettered views of both the ocean and the mountains. Their outstanding kitchen is the main gathering place; and from there, tidbitz appies and white wine were served.

One of the bittitz that caught my attention, was the small fully laden apple tree, springing right up outside their lofty kitchen window. I thought, Wow! What a treat; to see this little tree, bearing so much wondrous ripe fruit! And, at this time of year! 'Fruits of the Spirit', methinks. I believe that our friends are truly Blessed; and we are happy for them and their new cosy home! We were given the Blessing of just being included; amongst old family friends and genuinely connecting / reconnecting with others.

One of the people we met, is a mother, whose daughter, was a good friend of my daughter's, when they were in high school together. She and I agreed we would keep us and them in touch! We also met a gentleman who lives in Mexico; and Alan and I have been invited to stay with him and his wife. There are NO coincidences; and I discern, these kind people are all part of His awesome Mosaic! 'Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you'. Yesterday, was a day of a 'mini thanksgiving'; as well as a celebration to everyone's good fortune. ie. Generosity of Spirit!

This morning, I embraced the Vision Channel; and I truly appreciate all their insightful messages; hence more ephifanies! May share some bittids with you; but once again, best to direct yourselves to their websites, as they provide both enlightening encouragement and solid Biblical teachings. 'Seek and Ye Shall Find'. A few tidbits; which may touch your hearts, when you tune into them. ie. On 'Hour of Power', Dr. Schuller was empowering in his illuminating message re: 'Heroics in Faith', as well as inspiring 'positive emotions.' On 'Enjoying Everyday Life', Joyce emphatically shares - 'to not give up in the hard times; and to do things for the right reasons'. On 'Living Truth', Charles shares a wonderful explanation about motives and effective Prayer - ie 'Journey into the Heart of God.' The Lord's Prayer is the most powerful Prayer of all; as it addresses everything.

Here are their empowering sites again! 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org); 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org); and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca).

Tidbit - We have much to be Thankful for and we should treat each and every day as a genuine 'mini thanksgiving'; giving Him Thanks and sincere Praise all the while! (regardless of challenging circumstances).

Bittid - Be joyful for others and their Blessings!

Hope you do yourselves a tidbit favour (or others you know - 'Pay It Forward'), and really take an open look at these ministerial websites; or other sites you appreciate. Particularly, if you are discouraged, depressed, downtrodden, in despair, whatever. Even those of you, who are generally upbeat, there are always new ephifanies to experience; to learn and grow in your walk with Him! The Bible IS the best teaching; and these ministries help give us all a better understanding about Him. He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT (or LIFE).

Love the above photo image with its impactful and powerful message! 'Love Conquers All'.

Peace and God Bless.

Enjoy! Rain or shine!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

We are thankful it is the tid weekend! It is pouring with rain; and methinks best to stay indoors and not have to drive / go anywhere today! That being said, we will be going to some friends' home; as they are hosting an art exhibit 'Open House' for the full day. It is a husband and wife team, who are the artists; and the husband was a good childhood chum of mine. In the summers we would 'play' together (I was a bit of a 'tomboy' in those days); and it will be interesting to see him again, as it has been many many years. I won't say how many! LOL!

We received the gracious tidbitz invitation on Tuesday evening, when we were at the exploratory meeting (as per my bittid post of November 18th). We have been invited to this exciting event, for the last few years; however, we have not been able to attend. I am glad our friends have not given up on us! We are looking forward to getting together with old friends, and also to meeting some new people. Eventhough, we are not in a position to buy any of their artwork today, we will enjoy the gathering, as well as 'filing the info away' for 'future reference', as in acquiring one or some of their unique pieces, when we are able to do so. Methinks it is a better bittidz to attend, than not! It will be a learning experience; and we have been told, it is lots of fun! Good friends, good food, good wine, how can one miss!

Yesterday afternoon found us preparing for next week; as Alan goes into hospital for his operation mid week. As the tidbit expression goes: 'It never rains, but it pours'. We are thankful that finally Alan is having the surgery; as his knee has caused him utmost grief for 27 months. The surgeon is not sure if he can repair the badly torn miniscus etc; but he will at least be able to see 'what is what'. Alan has been told he will need to be off his feet for a week.

Therefore, we will enjoy today and tomorrow; and the rest of the week will take care of itself. Tomorrow, I look forward once again to the wonderful Vision Channel - 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org); 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org); and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca). This past week has been on the go for us; and we have been distracted with our endeavours. I had hoped to share some tidbits from these three awesome ministries of last Sunday; and I still encourage you, that it is best to check them out for yourselves, to receive the best bittids! You can relate via your own experiences and ephifanies, methinks!

Must go now; but may be back later. It depends. If not, hope you are enjoying a nice R & R weekend. I love the above friendly photo image!

Peace and God Bless.

Be of 'good cheer!'

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

First of all, 'Happy Thanksgiving' could be our behaviour and attitude each and every day; as in being thankful for all our daily Blessings that He Gives us. Greeting and treating each day as if it is a 'mini thanksgiving!'. However, the actual American Thanksgiving Day is the fourth Thursday in November; for some reason, I thought it was the third Thursday.

Yesterday, just 'zoomed zoomed zoomed' by us; and we appreciatively fell into our bed last night! We overcame some challenges; and today and the next few days, we still have some more hurdles to work through. Alan and I have simply turned 'everything' over to Him; as He IS the best Overcomer of all!

We want to have as many bittidz things 'ship shape', before Alan has his knee surgery next week. Confirmation of verbal and written communication, is so important; as it could have been so easily 'missed' in some of the bittid details yesterday. Plus, Alan and I are a tidbitz weary; and it would have been our error, had we not spotted their error. 'Best to nip things in the bud', as the tidbit expression goes.

In the middle of the night, I received my 'second wind'. Apart from being in 'Prayer dialogue' with Him, I was 'Guided' to 'get up' out of our bed, to read certain ' directed' passages from the Bible.
ie. Isaiah 45 about how 'God uses Cyrus'. Prior to reading that chapter in full (verses 1 to 7), I had Asked Him to 'Use me, According to His Will'. This particular Bible belonged to Alan's Mum; so it is all the more special and dear to my heart. Also, a small piece of paper, 'happened to fall out' from one of the pages. On there, were her handwritten thoughts; and she was suggesting that one should read Isaiah 45:3. I thought, 'Wow!' To me, that is an enlightening ephifany; thus, I took further Comfort and Refuge in the message. No coincidences, here folks!

After I read this encouraging story, I was yet again 'led' to read what Paul writes in Philippians 4 - 'Think of Excellence', verses 1 - 9. ie. In verse 4 - 'Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice!' In verse 6 - 'Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God'. Also, more bittids to help you seek Solace in 'God's Provisions', as Paul illuminates in verses 10 - 23. The teachings in this chapter are further tidbits of endorsement!

The Bible remains to be the top seller of books in the world. If more people read the Bible and followed its teachings, there would be a greater level of Understanding, Civility, and Grace amongst fellow men. What is written in the Bible, is very applicable today!

Tidbit - 'Do unto others, as you would have them, do unto you'.

Bittid - Appreciate the tidbits of insights and lessons learned each day; knowing that He does Answer our Prayers; albeit not as quickly as we would like at times. 'He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT'. He always has your best interests at heart.

Took these pictures of our hearthside, and of Alan and 'pup' Blue last night; as they are also upbeat 'lights in my life!'

Have to go for now; however, wanted to share a few bittids of hope and encouragement with you.

Peace and God Bless.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Was up early this morning; and I love witnessing the dawn, with all its majestic splendours in its heralding of a new day. I felt 'light on my feet'; joyful and thankful! KNOWING He has 'everything in hand'; and to confidently TRUST and ABIDE in Him, according to His Will. The house was wonderfully quiet; and I was totally appreciative of my elixir of coffee! 'Sir' Blue, (we also refer to him at times as his 'royal highness') was curled contentedly around my feet, under the chair.

Where did the last few days go? Sunday morning, I watched 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org); 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org); and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca) on the Vision Channel. I just love these enlightening and invigorating programs; and am like a little child, (with a cup of coffee, yet!), absorbing messages like a sponge! (pen and paper in hand!). I gleefully watch these first two programs; and then Alan and I take in 'Living Truth' together; which is awesome as well! Eventhough I was / am Blessed with more 'ephifanies', methinks, it is best for you, to tune into these special ministeries, to gain your own level of understanding, clarity, and appreciate your own meaningful 'ephifanies'. If you have an inquisitive mind and open heart; wishing to learn more about Christ, ('Seek, and Ye Shall Find'), you will be uplifted by their empowering insights, solid Biblical teachings, genuine encouragement, and helpful resources (books, CDs, tapes etc). For those of you who want to experience Hope, Joy, and Peace, these ministries (plus others!) are of great comfort! Actually it is He, who is of great Comfort! And thanks to these ministries, that provide such inspiration and knowledge.

We continued to appreciate a restful reprieve for the remainder of Sunday. Monday was fully occupied; as our 'recharged batteries' from the R & R weekend, may have generated into overtime; however, there was the tidbitz necessity to do so. Tuesday found us at the hospital in the morning and early afternoon, as Alan is going in next week for a major knee surgery; so he was getting apprised of the bittidz procedures. Thus, we are endeavouring to completing as much as possible prior to his operation; as he will be off his feet for at least a week.

On another matter, we attended a bit of an 'exploratory' tax / trust meeting last night; and before the gathering, we went out for dinner, and it was 'just what the doctor ordered!'. We really enjoyed our simple meal, along with a glass of wine. It has been awhile since we have been out for dinner; and it was, indeed, a special treat!

Today, we have various bittid matters to attend to; and we are hopeful that we are closer to tidbit fruition this week. When I was watching 'Hour of Power', one of the guest speakers, Pastor Bill Butterworth, gave illuminating insights re: 'Victory over our Fears'. It was excellent; and I recommend you read / watch / listen to what he (and all the others too) has to share. Basically Bill Butterworth says that 'God covers all the bases for us'; although, He is not necessarily early in Answering our Prayers. Also, we need to simply FOCUS on Him; the rest will fall into place, as per His Will.

The picture is of the front of our abode; am amazed at all the greenery, at this cooler tid time of year!

Before I forget, here is wishing all of you, who are celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow, a Happy Thanksgiving! Methinks, each and every day is like a 'mini Thanksgiving'; as we have many plentiful Blessings to be thankful for!

Peace and God Bless.

A restful Saturday evening

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world.

We are thoroughly glad it is Saturday. Actually slept in til about 8:30 am! The weather has been dismal and grey; yet we have enjoyed the tidbits of the day!

We are taking a bittid of a rest. Alan did some errands; and I happily cleaned out our fireplace. The ashes had been building for some time; and I thought 'go for it!'. At the same time, I reflected upon our Blessings and calmly thought, He will Help us through this storm. As I said in an earlier post, we received some good news last night; and that is a tidbit feat in itself; one less hassle to overcome. Thanks to Him!

Tidbit - When you are weary, listen to your body, if it is indicating signs of fatigue and saying 'rest' me. I would like to think of it as the Holy Spirit saying 'Rest in Me'. To me, that sounds a lot more uplifting and encouraging to one's ears and peace of mind. To the point, where I prepped our fireplace; which is now ready for a warm and cosy fire! Something 'special' and cheery to look forward to, methinks!

Bittid - Appreciate tranquil moments and the reassuring gentle retreat of your home. The skies are now black with night, and threatening showers any second; as well as a feisty wind, which is rapidly showing up. In the daytime, our skylights in our living room, provide such a bright light! Although, it has been a relatively quiet day, this has also been restful and soothing to the spirits.

Am looking forward to watching the Vision Channel tomorrow morning; primarily 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org); 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org); and 'Living Truth' (www.livingtruth.ca). I know I will appreciate more enlightening ephifanies and empowering teachings from these three insightful International Bible Teachers / ministries.

Also, we had to handle a 'challenging' situation today, that called for 'pruning of the tree', and / or 'separating the wheat from the chaff', if you will. We had a major link; and that has unfolded positively for us, as far I am concerned. A 'Blessing in Disguise'. We had to 'uncover the TRUTH'; and alas, the 'individual' had an usurping agenda all along. I had discerned from the beginning, he was not necessarily our friend; so this afternoon, Alan dealt with that matter. I even suggested, best to 'not let it fester'; particularly since certain bittids appeared not to be accurate. So now, that is one less distraction; perhaps attempting to 'take us away' from what we have been diligently and enthusiastically working towards!

Our Prayers appear to have been not answered as quickly as we would like. That is fine though. Because, I have 'resigned' myself to believing that He does, indeed, have a much BETTER plan for us; - ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, FOR HIS PURPOSE, TO HIS PLAN, AND IN HIS TIME. That the bittidz delays etc that we have been experiencing, are all part of His grand mosiac! I remember Robert Schuller Jr saying that 'when you are down to nothing, you know He is up to something to the good, for you'. Those wise words have stuck in my head and heart. Plus, Dr. Charles Stanley, shares that 'when God is silent, that does not mean He has abandoned you; He is working on your behalf'. Those wonderful words too, have remained steadfast in my heart. Also, you can refer to my recent posts. ie November 3rd - 'The Beauty of Prayer' for further thoughts as to 'Answer to Prayer'.

It would appear too, that we may have been a bit 'set up' in a couple of other scenarios; and I recommended today to Alan, to diplomatically 'call their bluff' sooner, rather than later. He did; and it would appear, that they have 'disappeared' into the woodwork, as strongly and as quickly as they 'appeared'. Hmmmmmm.

We are continuing to maintain our tidbitz course; regardless of interuptions, disruptions, confusions, doubts, fears etc. ie. 'Naysayers', greed, and those with ulterior M.O.'s etc. We know that He has Guided us thus far; albeit definitely on a 'road less travelled'; yet,'something' says 'Stick with it, do not give up!'

The day has unravelled in a very interesting fashion. Alan and I have cast it all upon Him to Direct our Path; and we are simply Seeking Refuge in Him to Provide Solution.

I love the above photo tid image; have enjoyed utilizing it in a number of past posts. Thank you, to whomever took this friendly picture!

Here is wishing you a nice R & R Saturday evening, as well as a restful Sunday.

Peace and God Bless.

Thankful for a calm

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It seems like I just said, 'Thank God it's Friday' or 'TGIF' day. LOL! Do not have a lot of new tidbitz to share; save that Alan and I have been plugging away at various 'loopholes'. We are relieved that we have the weekend to recoop, recover, rethink, and retrench. We have been dealing with certain people, that say 'one thing and do another'. So, we are now looking to other alternatives; with ONE proviso! More than ever, we have 'turned everything' over to Him to handle. No more, no less. We seek 'Refuge and Strength' in Him; and that everything that happens, is in Accordance with His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan. So be it! Christ wants the best for us all! Be of GOOD CHEER!

Took some pictures from our upstairs balcony prior to dusk. It is extremely windy, and the then 40 degrees Fahrenheit, penetrated right through me. We still have blooming geraniums; and they have been a wonderful Blessing for all these months!

Tidbit - Know that He has you where He wants you to be. Even if it means, you are in challenging circumstances, to suit His Purpose at that time. 'Trust and totally Abide in Him' to 'Guide you through the storm', even if there are overwhelming obstacles. 'He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the 'LIGHT'.

Bittid - ASK Him to Give you Understanding and Discernment. ie. When things are not clear, or appear 'confusing', or 'iffy', step back, take a deep breath, and cast it all upon Him to carry you through all situations, and to Provide Solution. All that is GOOD, works through Him. That being said, there is more CLARITY and Peace of mind.

There are NO coincidences. No sooner did I write a 'Bittid', we received a 'Tidbit' phone call; we have been given the 'green light!' We still have some bittidz hurdles to go through; however, we have received a very encouraging message of positive direction!

Also, just enjoyed Tortellini (from Costco) for our dinner; and it was the perfect bit of 'comfort food', for a cold blustery night. Plus, a tid glass of South African red vino! We are looking forward to simply 'vegging out' tonight, watching a couple of good movies, as well as Thanking Him for all our daily Blessings.

Peace, and God Bless.

The beauty of homemade soups!

Good Evening.

It has been a full tidbitz of a day thus far! Very interesting how dynamics fluctuate, as in a see-saw movement, going up, then down, and so forth. As in our aspirations towards fruition of our projects. We know there is a Solution; an even better Plan than we can even envision! We have reconciled ourselves to being 'patient'; as in simply 'waiting upon the Lord'. He has helped us be 'overcomers' in the past; hence our resolve more than ever, IS to continue being steadfast in Him; as, "He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT".

In the earlier afternoon, we enjoyed a long walk in the sunshine with our 'pup' Blue; wonderful fresh air to clear away any and all cobwebs! LOL! The colours of autumn are still vibrantly magnificent! We ran into a few of our neighbours; and we all agreed it would be fun to get together, before too long. There are NO coincidences, here folks!

As I had mentioned earlier, it is, indeed, a tidbit Blessing to have 'good neighbours'. Alan's 'famous' soup has been gently simmering on our stove (intoxicating smell, Mmmmm!); and within the next short bittid, we will take a large bowl of soup, over to one of our neighbours, who has yet to taste Alan's homemade creation. 'Norm's' wife is in a care facility; so it has been a difficult time for him. We will invite him over for dinner in the near future.

Tidbit - Give to others! You feel so much better! 'Better to give, than to receive'; as the tid expression goes! "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you!"

Bittid - 'Keep things simple', as the saying goes. Even a bittidz of soup, goes a long way; and can be stretched into many many meals. Very economical and healthy!

I like the above photo images of the hearty homemade soups! Alan is preparing a large cauldron of the delicious beef / vegetable mix; which is what we will be appreciating tonight. The other photo image is of a thick tomato soup; very similar to a savoury homemade soup that I have made many a time. Also, the piece of toast looks most appetizing as well! Perhaps you can tell, I am a bit hungry! LOL!

It is now dark; and Alan just brought me a glass of South African Red wine. To you, I joyfully say 'Skal'; as well as raising my glass - 'To Absent Friends'. Perhaps some of you, from time to time, may raise your glasses to 'Absent Friends'. There is a tidbitz of comfort in raising your glass. You can refer to today's earlier post, if you wish some tidbits and bittids of background.

Hope this gives you a bittidz of good cheer and encouragement; particularly during these tougher times.

Peace and God Bless.

Happy Birthday Mum!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Each and every day is a 'special' day, methinks. There are always Blessings to Thank Him for! I was appreciative that Alan got up earlier, turned on the furnace, and the coffee pot. Our house is now warm and toasty, and I am heartily enjoying my elixir of coffee. Really do NEED my two cups of coffee every morning! LOL!

Before I got up, I was in Prayer 'dialogue' with Him; and I simply ASKED for the Holy Spirit to indwell within me, to Guide me, to Give me Understanding, Discernment, Wisdom, Words of Wisdom, Grace, and the 'Fruits of the Spirit' for TODAY. I find that if I do that each and every morning (and throughout each day and before falling off to sleep each night), it is my tidbitz experience that one's spirits are bolstered, uplifted, and encouraged with Good and Positive thoughts for the day.

Tidbit - Best to live each day at a time, and to Give Him the Best of that day. Yesterday has already passed; and tomorrow will take care of itself, soon enough.

We have a number of bittid matters greeting us today; and we have simply laid it all before Him to provide Solution; AND, to be in Accordance with His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan. Methinks, this IS an empowering ephifany for me! We know Christ has a GOOD plan for each and every one of us; so we anticipate with a joyful and confident calm, that He always Prevails with a Plan that is best for us all. Have also Asked to be equipped with the full Armour of God. You can refer to yesterday's post, if you wish to read the Biblical passage from Ephesians 6: 14-17.

Bittid - God is our Refuge and Strength. It is simply best to 'Rest' and 'Abide' in Him. 'Rely NOT upon your own understanding'; instead 'cast your burdens' upon Him to work things through, as per His Purpose and Plan for you.

Writing of today, it is my Mum's birthday; she would have been 92 years young! Am quoting my two posts that I wrote in 2007 and 2008. This will be an easier tidbit reference for you.

"Today, my Mum, 'MoMo', would have been 91 years of age! Hard to believe I know! There genuinely is not a day or thereabouts, that goes by, that I do not think of her! Interesting, the tidbit expression: 'You do not know what you have lost, until it is gone' - It is a most true bittid.

Also, with Remembrance Day on Nov 11th, this hits pretty close to home. My Mum's various family members gave of their lives, like so many others; so no better time than to Honour and Remember them for their sacrifices they made, for our Freedom! Same with my Dad's family and friends of that vintage; they were relentless in their fight for our Freedom.

The above photo is a picture of my Mum, my daughter, and myself taken in 2004.(You can refer to the tid posts of Nov 12/07 for some bit info if you wish). We have not changed much; save that my Mum, our 'MoMo', is no longer here, as she passed away in the summer of 2005. We have twin grandsons, age 2 years, (am a young Grandma!); and methinks, 'MoMo' would be a good name for the little ones to call me. Easy and simple to say; but more importantly, in memory to my Mum, since my children called my Mum, 'MoMo'.

My Mum was a courageous and feisty woman; she had to have been, as she had endured much in her later years. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer of the esophagus in 1998; however it went into remission, until her passing in 2005. Nonetheless, she was not able to swallow; so there was a 'feeding tube' surgically inserted down her throat and out through her stomach. That area of the stomach had a protective cap when not in use. In order for her to be fed, she was linked up to a machine (she called her 'dancing partner'), and the liquid nutrition (Ensure)was given to her via tubes. It took approx 1.5 hr per feeding; and there were 3 feedings per day; followed in between, with an hour approx of flushing / cleaning out the system with water. We would take her, her 'dancing partner', and her caregiver out as much as we could; as the change of scene did wonders for my Mum's spirits. ie Pasley in the summers; she totally LOVED that place! She also had ostereoposis; and her back looked like the 'Hunchback of Notre Dame'; however, she wore larger pieces of clothing; and was able to still look 'chic'."

"Have included my Nov 12, 2007 post as an easy reference; because.....

"I had the luxury of sleeping in this am; until 8:45! Mind you, we watched a movie quite late into the night; so the morning arrived quickly! The movie, "Dunkirk" really hit home a message about the struggles, battles, and sacrifices, made during the Second World War. Very timely, re: November 11, Rememberance Day.

There is a huge rain and wind storm swirling all around us. The winds are fierce; branches falling everywhere; just hope our tid cottage is still standing! Last year in November, the winds took down several trees; and "smushed" our bit sleeping cabin.

Wanted to remember my Mum's birthday; today if she were on earth, she would have been 90 years young!!! She had quite the life; and saw and lived through much. So, Mum, "Happy Birthday" - There is not a day that passes, that I do not think of you. Strange how you remember those who have gone, more so, had they still been living. Or with me, anyway. I did spend a lot of time with my Mum; so fortunately, I have happy memories of her!

Tidbit - You never know what you have lost, until it is gone from you. If you can, remember the loved ones in your lives, that are STILL alive. Make a genuine effort to restore broken relationships; before it is too late; because then, there will be a lament; on your part.

Bittid - Keeping a 'door open' is always best; however, there is the expression: "You can take a horse to water; but you can't make it drink". So very true!

To those who wish to have memories without a tragic lament, enjoy your loved ones while they are still living. Appreciate them now, because, when they are gone, they are gone.

The above photo is of my Mum, my daughter, and yours truly. Three generations!!!"

In closing, just want to reiterate 'Happy Birthday MoMo'; and at the appropriate tid time a bit later, will raise a glass of champagne to Mum (and Dad) and say 'Skal' and 'Absent Friends'. 'Absent Friends' is an old Norwegian custom; whereby you drink to, or toast someone who is elsewhere (could be dead or just not present at the time, that you are thinking about). 'Skal' means 'Cheers'. Am adding, "Thanks again, MoMo, for being my Mum!"

Now back to TODAY. We will be appreciative for a champagne toast to my Mum (and to my Dad), when we have certain bittidz 'issues put to bed', if you will. We will also be all the more appreciative of 'something to look forward to!' However, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM AND THANK YOU FOR BEING MY MUM! I only remember the happy moments with her. I will never forget how her eyes would light up, sparkle and dance, when we did something 'special' for her! We attempted to do something 'special' each time we saw her. To bring a smile to her face, was a wonderful Blessing for her and for us!

There are times when it is NOT easy to being a parent, and we all learn as the years pass. My Mum had her moments; but then don't we all? My Mum did the best she could (nobody is perfect, save for HIM); and inasmuch as she and my Dad adopted me at birth, I think that that what they did, is a pretty huge BLESSING! So, thank you again! Have written some earlier posts on that as well.

You can see it is the same photo; do not think I have 'aged' too much. LOL! The 'key' is to be graceful with your age; and ENJOY! Being 'young at heart', comes to mind! LOL! My Dad always would say; "Laugh and the world laughs with you. Weep and you weep alone". If 'smiling' is a bit foreign to you, practice in front of a mirror (don't worry, it won't crack) and it is amazing how much of a Blessing you are to others, when you GIVE or radiate a genuine smile! Plus, you feel better too! I wrote a couple of tid posts on 'Never Better'; and that holds true as well.

Have to go for now.

Peace and God Bless.

'Lest we forget'

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world.

Last night, we watched a tidbit documentary on the rise and fall of Adolf Hilter, his Nazi party, as well as the SS. Hitler had visions to use his totalitarian regime to conquer the world; and to subjugate anyone or any group not in his favour!

This documentary continued late into the night, and the truth of the attrocities are finally being brought to bittid light. Actual footage taken at the time, in black and white coverage, exposed the horrid findings and cruel acts.

Today, November 11th, Remembrance Day, we are remembering and honouring all those courageous men and women of all nations, who valiantly fought and gave of their lives to preserve our Democracies and our Freedoms.

My Dad was active in World War 2; and he chose not to discuss with me about his involvement, in any tid way, shape, or form. I remember as a child, I wanted to know; because I was curious about the history; inasmuch, as we were not being taught much of World Wars 1 & 2 in school. Save that he shared, it was a matter of survival; and the choice was simple: either 'kill or be killed'. Thus, as a Norwegian, he was always 'ready, willing, and able', to attempt to be successful in any and all of the operations, he was involved in. To disrupt the enemy plans and defeat them.

All I can say, is 'good on my Dad and all the others who did the same!' Alas, our older family members have since passed away; and by and large, our family knows very little bittidz of what really took place. That being said, today is, indeed, an extra special day to say 'Thank you to all those, who took part to give us all and future generations a better life'.

I spent a good bit of today going through old photo albums; and in a way, I wish I had persisted more with my tidbitz questions. Lots of pictures; but no dates, no write ups, no nothing. Actually I did continue to be inquisitive; but my Dad was firm with his resolve, saying he would have none of it. My Mum was also involved to a lesser extent; however, she was 'Mum' as well.

Tidbit - "Lest we Forget'. May we never ever forget to honour and remember all those who fought; and fight even now for our freedom!

Bittid - Take a stand for what you know to be just and right. 'Fence sitting' achieves nothing.

In today's world, we need to be all the more, equipped with the full armour of God.

"Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins
with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be
able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. And take the
helmut of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
(Ephesians 6: 14-17)

If you wish, you can refer to 'Remembrance Day' as per my November 11/08 post for a bit of background. May we never take Freedom for tid granted!

We also Pray for the Holy Spirit to provide us all with Understanding, Wisdom, Guidance, Grace, and Blessings.

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

'Let there be light!'

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

It is very overcast and pouring with rain. Thank goodness for our skylights, is all I can say; as we can catch an occasional tidbitz glimpse of bright clearing in the skies, before more rapid downpour!

Our fluorescent light panel went out in the kitchen; so for the last few days, we have been relying on daylight and lights from our adjoining den and dining toom. Alan found in the basement / garage, what appeared to be discarded, some elongated fluorescent light bulbs. He had thought it was the ballasts that had gone; fortunately not! He was able to manoeuver the panels of light bulbs and what a joy to be 'lit up again'. Particularly on this dark black bittidz of a day!

Tidbit - Take heart in Prayer and do not give up with your Prayers; no matter how bleak and overwhelming things may appear to be in your life.

Alan and I have been working diligently towards tidbit fruition; and yet again, there have been more 'delays'; hence further set backs. We are confidently and calmly leaving it ALL to Him, knowing there is yet a better plan, that He has for us.

If you wish, you can refer to my November 3rd post, 'The Beauty of Prayer'. ie. In 'Hour of Power', "Dr. Robert Schuller was adding too, that all Prayers are not always answered right away; ie No's or even delays, which can turn out to be for the best; as in 'Blessings in disguise'. He KNOWS what is BEST for each of us." Dr. Schuller delivers empowering and impactful insights; you may wish to check into his November 1st message, in its entireity etc. His daughter, Dr. Sheila Schuller Coleman, is also inspirational with her messages of HOPE etc.

Bittid - 'Cast away' all your burdens upon Him; leave it ALL to Him to Provide Solution, as per His Will, His Purpose, and His Plan. 'He IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT.' (Joyce Meyer's husband, Dave, suggests to 'Cast away'). I really appreciate Joyce in 'Enjoying Everyday Life'; as her teachings are very 'down to earth' for each and every day living. As Joyce expresses, it is not just Sunday behaviour; but every day living behaviour.

For those of you, who are a bittid curious and / or want to learn more, best to watch and / or tune into these encouraging and uplifting ministries to further expand your horizons. www.hourofpower.org; www.joycemeyer.org; and www.livingtruth.ca. Also, on the Vision Channel, there are other wonderful T.V. ministries to be appreciative of as well.

We are thankful for all our Blessings; no matter how small! ie Light again in our kitchen is huge, methinks! 'Let there be light!' Love the above photo image! 'Seek and Ye Shall Find!'

Peace and God Bless.

Appreciate the 'little' things

Good Evening,

It has been a restful day; and it is now dusk, with dark threatening clouds overhead. A good night to be indoors, methinks.

Took this picture earlier this morning from our bedroom bay window, whilst watching 'Enjoying Everyday Life' and then 'Living Truth' from our bed. I am thankful I had our camera nearby; as I was able to catch momentarily a glimmer of shimmering sunlight. There was a break in the clouds from the earlier downpour of showers; and I took delight in observing the chickadees hopping to and fro, leaping from branch to branch of our big old tree. In fact, two tid birds flew right up to our window and just remained hovering in mid air for a few seconds. I thought, 'Wow! Blessings in abundance. Beautiful fall colours, instant streak of sun rays, and a rarity to see little birds up so trustingly close!'

As mentioned, was up early. With my elixir of coffee, I watched and absorbed the teachings from the 'Hour of Power' from our downstairs T.V. and today's message was wonderfully inspirational. For those of you interested in knowing more, best to tune into their website, as well as the other sites. Gained some more tidbit epifanies, which I will share with you before too long.

We had to go out for a bittid; and on our way back, we fell upon an 'Open House' in our complex. The unit had just been put up for sale; and us being 'nosy neighbours,' went to check it out. LOL! We have a few friends in mind who, are looking to downsize / relocate; and this particular unit might be up their alley. Plus, it helps Alan and I, to have a bit better 'read' on the pulse of the real estate market. We also met some lovely people who were looking to purchase; I told them they would be great neighbours! LOL! We ran into a fellow neighbour; and we invited her over for a glass of wine (we would have to go to the store, as we do not have any wine presently); and these people overheard and said, they would be 'right over!' LOL! I replied that they were certainly welcome; just bring wine! LOL! Our neighbour will come over; but not tonight.

We are now home; and it is beginning to rain again. Talk about good timing; as the rain had periodically 'stopped', while we were at the 'Open House'. Another Blessing, methinks!

Tidbit - Appreciate and be thankful for the 'little' things. ie. Blessings.

Bittid - Enjoy the moment and 'Keep Things Simple'; which gives one more clarity. Best though, to simply 'Rely Upon Him' to Guide and Direct your path; as 'He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Light.'

We are going to enjoy a nice quiet Sunday evening, as tomorrow comes quickly. We are hopeful that various bittidz matters will be resolved within the next week or so. Alan is preparing / creating homemade soup for our tidbitz meal; and it smells so delicious throughout our home.

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

Fret not about tomorrow, appreciate and enjoy today!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Am up early this am; and the peace and the quiet (before anyone is up; including our pup), is wonderful. Love hearing the gentle sound of the showering rain upon our skylights. As I was 'puttzing' about our house, I thought of the upcoming events / matters that we will be involved with this week. Immediately, tidbitz thoughts: 'Worry not about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself'. For some reason, I find these words a calming comfort to my heart. What He (Christ) wants, is for us all to ENJOY today; and to fret not about tomorrow.

Am totally appreciating my elixir of coffee; and in the next bittidz while, I will be watching the Vision Channel. I will be making some notes of reference re: sharing a bittid or two; but to gain the best knowledge, I encourage you, to turn to their websites to receive their solid Biblical teachings, as well as their empowering insights. ie. 'Hour of Power' (Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower.org); 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org); and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca). To me, these programs (there are also other enlightening ministries) are a Blessing; and more often than not, their messages are exactly what I need to hear at the time, they are given. Hence tidbit ephifanies! Perhaps the same will hold true for you; and / or for others you can 'Pay it forward to'.

Am going to go now; however may be back in a bit.

Enjoy today as a 'day of rest'; be of confident good cheer, and seek Refuge and Strength in Him. The above photo is of our Korean dogwood tree (see my November 3rd post, 'The Beauty of Prayer'). To think at one time, it was just a tiny tid of a plant; and look at it now! A majestic Blessing!

Peace and God Bless.

An 'attitude of gratitude' is best!

Good Morning, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

Am glad it is the weekend; and am content to be home; and thankful for a bit of 'R & R', to recharge our bittidz batteries. It has been a full week; and we are extra appreciative that we overcame some more obstacles, BUT, with His Guidance and Help. We still have more challenging tidbitz 'hoops to jump through'; however, we have done all we can for the time being. It is now simply a matter of 'Waiting Upon the Lord', to Provide Direction and Solution. Am sure some of you can relate re: your own experiences.

I keep expressing He has a GOOD plan for each and every one of us; and that His Plan is the BEST one, as it is in Accordance with His Will and for His Purpose. I gained some wonderful tidbit 'epifanies' last Sunday from the Vision Channel. If you wish further teachings and insights, best to refer to 'Hour of Power', 'Enjoying Everyday Life', and 'Living Truth' for empowering knowledge and wonderful encouragement.

Today it is pouring with rain; a perfect day to curl up with a good book, in front of a warm and cosy fire. We have the 3 hour Fire Logs; and those are great! Also, the picture is one of the photos from my post 'Positive thoughts', November 5/09. I love the beautiful pink orchids (one of His magnificent Creations!), and our exquisite quartz sandstone fireplace!

Tidbit - Turn everything over to Him and PATIENTLY 'wait' for His Solution / good Plan for you. Be of confident 'good cheer'; and Ask to be Indwelt by the Holy Spirit. As you 'cast all your burdens' upon Christ, you are Infilled with a Peace of mind and a Calm.

Bittid - 'Praise Him In All Things'. If you have a daily 'attitude of gratitude', with a truly thankful heart; thanking Him always for your Blessings, you are a happier person, as well as being a Blessing to others.

Sorry I did not write a bittid post yesterday; however, am looking forward to watching the illuminating Vision Channel tomorrow morning! More epifanies, methinks!

Here is wishing you a nice weekend.

Peace and God Bless.

Positive thoughts

Good Evening, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world.

Well, we have had quite the day; happy it is night. I just shake my head at some of the greedy antics. However, we will keep on trekking; TRUSTING that He has an even better plan for us. I had some 'ephifanies' on Sunday; and the power of words is so very important; and particularly, when it comes to Prayer.

We have been through several more hoops today. It is POURING with rain tonight. black skies, and it feels as if it is much later in the evening, than it really is. We are thankful to see our bed early.

Here are some pictures I took earlier tonight. The exquisite pink orchids that Alan gave me for my birthday in September, are STILL blooming! Our 'pup', Blue is also quite relaxed, as you can see; with a wonderful cosy fire in the background.

Tidbit - Keep a positive outlook; ALWAYS!

When you have ASKED for the Holy Spirit to indwell within you, you are strengthened with Resolve; to 'hang in there'. Knowing that He has a better plan in mind for you; than even what you Prayed for. If your Prayers are not answered as quickly as you would like, (please refer to 'Hour of Power' - Dr. Robert Schuller - www.hourofpower); 'Enjoying Everyday Life' (Joyce Meyer - www.joycemeyer.org); and 'Living Truth' (Charles Price - www.livingtruth.ca) for further info. Dr. Robert Schuller gives such an awesome encouraging explanation of 'Answer to Prayer' and why at times Prayers are not answered as quickly as we would like. I gained several 'ephifanies' this past Sunday; and I have been applying those 'ephifanies' in my Prayers ever since!

Eventhough we are still mightly struggling with obstructive 'spiritual' obstacles, I KNOW that we are on the RIGHT path. I ASKED / Prayed BOLDLY for His Direction (with all my Might!); and we have received tidbitz news this afternoon. To Alan and I, this IS a solid endorsment. You have heard, that 'when one door closes; another door opens'. Well we have been given some assurances to continue with what we have been working on, for these last six years! We are so close to achieving our goal / vision; and we have experienced many who have / are trying to steal our dreams. However, it may be, that now, we have been given a 'second' chance by Him, to redeem ourselves (we have learned many a bittid lesson along the way) and it looks as if we will see 'FRUITION' of our efforts, of 'blood, sweat, and tears'.

Before I forget, we enjoyed a really nice evening last night, with our elderly neighbour (you can refer to yesterday's post and earlier recent posts for a bittidz of background). He lost his wife a few years ago; so last night, he shared some tidbits with us; and we think we helped him a bit with his sadness. There is now a new door of friendship that has been opened between us. A wonderful tid Blessing.

Bittid - REST in Him. He IS your Refuge and Strength. When you are 'worn out', weary, or plain tired, overwhelmed etc, simply LEAVE IT ALL TO HIM TO WORK OUT. He does!

That is what we are doing; and calling it a night. I have a peaceful, confident calm within, that He has an awesome Solution for us. Hope this is a tidbit uplift to you.

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.

In appreciation of good neighbours and warm memories!

Good Afternoon, or whatever is the best greeting to you, in your part of the world!

If you wish, a bit of background, you can refer to my October 29th post, 'Enjoying a rainy morning!'

We have invited our Chinese elderly friend over tonight for dinner, however, it will
not be an Italian / French repas, as I had thought previously. Still would like to prepare that meal for him; but methinks, best to not procrastinate, as life has a habit of getting in the way at times. Our tidbit meal will consist of pork cutlets (from Costco) with applesauce, potatoes au gratin, sauteed sweet pea pods (flavoured with a tid dash of brown sugar), and a treat of FRESH asparagus, and melted butter! Mmmmmm. A bottle of South African red wine to add to further delight. For dessert, we will have vanilla ice cream, topped with FRESH blackberries! I am hungry already; have not had blackberries since the summer of 2008! So this is an extra special welcomed gift!

It has been a full bittid day thus far. We have already been out and about, and the evening will be here before you know it! We are looking forward to an interesting soiree; and a warm and cosy fire, will add comfortably to the ambience. When one has good neighbours, that is, indeed, a Blessing! 'Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you!' Very true!

Tidbit - Be of good cheer and thankful for your daily Blessings. Also, when you are feeling discouraged etc, immmediately 'turn things around' by genuinely Thanking Him for your Blessings, and ASK Him to carry your Burdens. You feel so much better; as if a huge load has been lifted from your heart.

Bittid - ASK for the Holy Spirit to indwell within you and to Guide and Direct your path, according to His will, His Purpose, and His Plan. NOT to your will, your purpose, your plan. Trust steadfastedly, that He has a GOOD plan for you; and RELY upon Him to Provide Solution.

Just took two pictures; one of our dining room table, set for tonight and the other of a pair of sterling silver 'asparagus' tongs. My parents had them for years; we have since discoverd that these exquisite holders are dated from 1830 approx. We have a set of twelve and they are housed in the original box. Imagine that rarity! Also, the emerald green glasses are of cut crystal antique Bohemian / Czechoslovakian origin. The old china was my parents; and eventhough there are some dings and chips in them, I love them just the same, if not more! I remember many a fun evening enjoying these antique dishes etc at my parents' dining room table, which is now wonderfully gracing our household.

Am appreciatively perked up with warm sentimental and heartfelt memories. If you have items you do not use often, go for it, enjoy them, as life is far too short! What is the point of having something if it 'sits, gathering dust' on the shelf, methinks! Another Blessing!

Peace and God Bless.

November moon in the mist

Good Evening.

These are two pictures I took tonight of the moon in the mist, while we were out with our Blue. I will learn how to properly use all the tidbitz settings; to turn out better photos.

Love the tidbit beautiful flowers that are still blooming! Colourful impatients, begonias, and geraniums! A wonderful bittid Blessing, methinks!

It is my daughter's birthday today. Can not believe how quickly the years have flown by. Seems as if she was born just yesterday.

We are glad it is nightfall; time to call it a day. We enjoyed a pizza (from Costco) that Alan added some tasty bittidz touches. ie red pepper, sweet purple onion, and sharp cheddar cheese.

Tidbit - Be thankful for the tid end of the day, giving Him genuine Thanks and Praise all the while.

Bittid - Appreciate a good night's rest. Put everything aside; better still, leave everything to Him, to work out for you. Also, take a bit of time to have a Prayer 'dialogue' with Him; and you will enjoy a good sleep, as well as being much better equipped for the next day.

Good Night, Peace, and God Bless.
